The deep noir scene felt out of place and like it had no significance whatsoever. Noir is gonna get his tongue ripped out or killed, deep gets killed next season by the boys.
Sage is an incredibly racist character. Might be unintentional.

Not really, the premise of the episode is a party invitation filled with stuffy old men, Victoria is not that, the immediate assumption is that she's imagining blowing her own head off out of boredom.

*Madelyn was big for season 1, died episode 8, Rebecca was crucial in season 2, died episode 8, season 3 had black Noir's Back story, he died episode 8.*
*Season 4 is basically A-train's redemption arc. That arc came full circle when he was forgived him for the death of Robin. He wont make it past episode 8*

You made a mistake when you said, "It was only at the end when Tek Knight discovered that Web Weaver was Hughie." Tek Knight knew from the beginning (his primary power is deduction, like Batman), when he sensed Hughie's unusual heartbeat at the party. That's WHY he offered to show Hughie the Tek Cave. He did it to expose Hughie's ruse and (ingeniously) convince him to willingly get tied up. It was a snare from the beginning. Also, Tek Knight knew he couldn't make a scene at the party or distract Homelander because all the billionaire donors were there, so he sidelined Hughie, planning to reveal him after everyone else had left.
He knew from the beginning that it wasn't the real Web Weaver, sure, but he didn't know it was Hughie, lol.
He never met Hughie before that episode, so he's never had chance to learn his heartbeat, scent, etc, so there's no way he'd have known it was Hughie, Tek Knight's power is as you accurately described it, it's super deduction, not clairvoyance. 😂

A-train's a true hero for what he admitted his mistakes and did a heroic moment by saving M.M's life.
I have a theory that Sage is gonna turn on homelander. Her getting shot seemed preventable and it seemed more she was provoking him. For someone so smart she went out without a fight. Also what was she doing before MM went in that room

Excellent episode i belive sister sage has her own plans and by the end of the season those plance come into focus. A trains arc this season continues to be Excellent. I also like tek knights death by his Alfred.

Butcher is definitely going apeshit after that. Just look at the last shot, when Kessler walks away and the camera rotates arounud Butcher, Becca has disappeared.
What I wish was being discussed more is Kessler's comment to Butcher about how he killled Ezekiel for him.

Edit: Also that scene where A-Train saves MM and the kid smiles was so good. No dialogue or anything. So good.
Idk if other people found a comparison but I find Billy's Tumor similar to Venom and Eddie's Relationship but actually realistic and actually good and well written.

The most disturbing thing I’ve ever watched I wasn’t even paying attention for most of the episode. Just listening to them talk. I don’t need those images playing back-and-forth in my head.
Some quick thoughts:
Butcher figuring out that Joe was in his head because he could see Becca was great way of handling the situation.
How did firecracker know that Homie was obbsessed with mommy milk?

It feels like the writers have an agenda. Instead of just telling a great story, they're pushing a message

It's the argument of "If you kill One killer, you'll end up with still one killer." Becca suggested that Butcher would just be taking Homelander's place if he goes through with this plan...
Which is also a nod to what happened in the comics and what could happen in future episodes/season.
They're basically setting Butcher to commit genocide.

The scene is an intimate exchange between Imaginary Becca and Butcher... About Imaginary Becca questioning the morality and the length Butcher would go through to enact his revenge.

What I would like to see in the next episode is Frenchy finally talking to kmako in tell her what he did and make peace with it. I highly doubt he’s going to remain in prison for the rest of the season. I don’t even think he will remain in prison in the finale of the season

Show runner Kripke landed in some hot water due to this episode. He stated in an interview that Hughie's scenes with Tek-Knight weren't SA scenes, and were actually supposed to be funny to watch and not at all unsettling for the viewers. The writers have no idea what to do with his character

the first 30 minutes of the show was in my opinion, good, the last 30 were just confusing and directionless.
And for the smartest person alive, I can't understand why sage never tell any of his findings about A-Train being the traitor to Homelander. Unless she has different plans than Homelander that needed A-Train. Considering she knew A-Train before joining the seven.
Sage must be playing the long game bc if she wasn't she would have no doubt outed A-Train as the leak sooner.

I think episode 4 just showed clearly that he wanted to squish down his need for love, but unlike Hughie, he didn't take it on head-on to try and solve it

Writers of the show, that wear small hats. Constantly try to make Homelander look bad. There is no consistency with the character. No actual growth. In previous episode it seems he got over his traumas, realised that he has to take more firm grip on things. And now they go back to the fcking square one. This is deliberate, because fans actually like Homelander. They did the same with Soldier Boy. Fans loved him, so they tried to play r*cism card, despite Soldier Boy never beeing r*cist.
Yea I’m not accepting any cope with this… that episode of him at his old lab was great for his character. Now he’s back to needing love? The writers dropped the ball.

I think it is pretty clear at this point that A-Train will be die in the end of this season. With him, the final "good" (or more accurately: redeemed) hero will bow out of the Seven for the final season. With The Deep corrupting Black Noir II more and more and the Guardians of Godolkin being brought in the fold, everything is in place to have Sam and Cate take their place in the Seven (Ryan is more a back-up idea I would say) and have a truly evil Seven for the final season. The second season of Gen V will probably explore the fates of Andre, Emma, Jordan and Marie, setting them up as a sort of anti-Seven (with Starlight, Kimiko and... maybe a redeemed Ryan?), and the Boys with Butcher getting madder and more genocidal, it might turn into all-out war of the Supes in the final season, with Butcher revving up the madness and Hughie, Frenchie and MM more and more wondering how to continue.
Simple solution for the virus issue. Have soldier boy take out the V from Starlight and Kimiko.

Certain characters are carrying this show. Pay attention to that. This season is fantastic so far.
How obvious is it A-Train is going to die?
Am I the only one who thinks A-train might not lose to HL?
He is not as powerful as superman. S1 he said he can't fly while lifting the boeing 787. S3 he was pinned down by butcher/soilderboy/hugie. Especially now with the superhuman heart, A-train with some help might not be that one-sided.
Yeah plus I think we're giving Sage a little too much credit for being smart, just cause she is doesn't mean she know everything, she may suspect A-Train has something to hide but it might not be she actually knows plus we saw in this episode twice that she isn't all knowing for one she didn't know Ashley had a history with Tek Knight so was put up with her being at the party. The second is her not thinking MM will shoot her in time to stop her setting off the alarm.
I dont think atrain is dying. Realistically atrain could simply run away, far away. He could end up in a 3rd world country hiding somewhere and no one would be able to find him. He would have to take out his chip tho.
The plane was about physics not Homelanders lifting strength. He could easily lift a plane on the ground but if he lifted the plane while in the air he'd just shoot straight through it.
