- Welcome to this brand new video! This is Why The Boys Will NEVER Have A Good Ending. Yes I said it, but maybe not in the way you think. I personally do not think that Butcher, Huey or anyone in the universe of the boys will have a traditional good ending. If you wanna know why I think this than make sure to watch this whole video! If you enjoy make sure to leave a like, sub and comment down below suggestions for future videos!

I think "happy" is the better word to describe your video not "good". Still great video its just people can easily misunderstand that saying the endings gonna suck. But you are absolutely right the show is definitely gonna end on a bitter note where the conflict of the series is over but there's alot of consequences and problems caused from it. Which Amazon will 100% take advantage for future spin offs to keep exploring the universe
I'm going to pin this comment. I said good as in happy ending. I talked to a youtube friend of mine and we agreed that this title would put into perspective how many people don't watch the video and just read a title and get upset. I love the boys tv series but the whole video was about how no ending will ever be a happy ending fully, nothing ends with sunshine and rainbows in the boys show!
This title atracts more ppl clicking tbf so makes sense
Title is engagement bait
@@ComicCasualVideos I've been watching since your first episode great work
WHO is sitting here saying that this show is gonna end happily??
I like to hope :(
@@sophioclesMe too.
A good ending and happy ending aren’t the same thing in this context
nobody is saying it’ll be happy people are just saying it won’t be good… the way the show is set up, half of us are gonna be satisfied with the ending and the other half won’t
to be honest i expect a bitter sweet ending i think a lot are going to die but the world will be better as a whole
you are confusing
"good ending" with "happy ending"
it's on purpose to clickbait, it's using the term "good ending" that were used in video games
It’s clickbait
I definitely thought he meant "good" as in quality, when I clicked on it
I like "happy" more than "good"
@@vph6823You’d rather have an unfitting ending that’s poorly written than one that is?
If you expect a Happy End, you weren’t paying attention.
Homelander needs to Die.
Agreed
"Have hope but no expectations. You might get a miracle but no disappointments."
Ramsay Bolton reference
A-Train dies, Neuman dies, Ryan kills Homelander, Butcher goes crazy and is ultimately killed as well. The Boys ruin Vought's reputation and the company more or less collapses while Godolkin continues to operate individually to set up more Gen V. MM survives, Frenchie and/or Kimiko dies, Hughie and Starlight live happily ever after.
Yeah and honestly with the way atrain is going I think he Might sacrifice himself
Mm dies
@@jacobsoto7228 I'm positive he's just gonna go home to his daughter and be happy lol. Not even 100% on A-Train, Sage clearly needs him alive for something and maybe he's gonna stick around who knows. It's either him or the Deep tho
Neuman dies this season according to leaks
i edited this comment the same day i posted(before s4e7) to fix a spelling error but in case someone sees it's edited after im proven right about everything bc im just that good, here is an unedited comment confirming that my take is: a-train possibly dies, neuman dies for sure, ryan kills homelander, butcher goes coocoo and is killed as well, the boys ruin vought's rep and it more or less goes down with godolkin continuing to exist, MM survives, frenchie and/or kimiko dies, hughie and starlight have a happy ending
Garreth ennis made sure we got a happy ending in the comics by making sure Hughie and Annie survived while everyone else died or went broke.. I hope the show follows this 2
@@dono_dfo Vought 😂
I definitely hope they DON’T considering all that death was caused by Butcher. We don’t need everyone to die 😭
@@dono_dfoThat means their probably broke 😂
NGL, I feel Annie should die as well, not because I want her too but I feel it fitting that All Supes die, all Compound V is destroyed and possibly the only 2 surviving is Hughie and Ryan with Ryan being the last superhero (that we know of) with Ryan being the 1st real Superhero and protecting without Vought or Seven meddling
@@distinguishedallureproduct879that wouldn’t be a bad idea
In the comics, Butcher does not kill Homelander. Black Noir does and then Butcher kills Noir
I was just about to say, but wanted to read some posts to see if anyone corrected that.
👍🏽
@@TYMMSTERwhy is it so hard to explain information correctly?
I heard afterwards Butcher kills Kimiko, Frenchie and I believe MM. Hughie fights him at the end and kills him but Butcher reveals he killed his parents too. I don’t want that ending tbh.
@@spartyontopThing Is, Butcher Lied About That He Just Wanted Hughie
To Kill Him.
Even if all the supes die, compound V still exists. More supes can be made if humans don't learn how awful they are.
There’s a limited supply, and Homelander has all the vials. And given that the virus specifically attacks the V, I think it would destroy the serum by default
Nah.
@@JoelKellenProductionsgood point
@@JoelKellenProductionsthat is if it gets air born or something like that, strong enough to off HL
@@JoelKellenProductionsthey could just make more…? Also, Scientists could make a new variant immune to the effects of the virus
One option I can see is Sameer kind of going along with Butcher but instead somehow tweaks the virus to be airborne but also de-powers all supes instead of killing them. Obviously in this scenario Homelander would still likely die but maybe not who knows
I really love that! I think that the Supes having to LIVE without their powers would be amazing karma and a good reflection of celebrities once they have lost what made them famous... and it could be the chance they need to regain their humanity.
Yeah this is a great idea
Actually it's possible, Someone remember that soldier boy has that radation power to de-powers the superpowers? Buctcher can send the doctor to Mallory and convince him to create a "cure" for the supers. Using Soldier boy unconscious.
Can you imagine homelander loses his powers and is surrounded by every person he tormented just beating the living shit out of him.
@@angelgomezramos1015damn that's a great way to tie all of it together, awesome stuff dude
At least we got bootleg spidey
Dude was disgusting lol
"O'mlanda. Put yer dyck u'wai, O'mlanda. Oi-m not ae'vin sekks with y'a roight na'uw, O'mlanda." - Butcher, Leaked season 5 script.
I can confirm this is real I was in the writing room
theres one more season btw. the virus will be useless, homelanders son will see his father's horrible actions and kill him. homelanders son will become a hero stopping any supervillains with the boys (at least the ones that have superpowers and are alive) for the rest of time
Thats the only good direction for the story 😂
I hope it's not that simple but that is a very good theory imo
Not happening. I honestly think it's more likely that Homelander kills Ryan
@@joseluis5055 that would certainly be a twist I can see in the boys show.
The only way I can see this happening is that dramatically before butcher dies he calls in Ryan and tells him with homelander did to his mom to get her pregnant and in rage he defeats his dad cause of it
A happy ending for Hughie and Starlight maybe, but everyone else in the comic, not so much...
Hughie and Starlight are characters that have no chance of dying in the series, just like in the comics, I'll really be in shock if the writers have the balls to kill one of them
Honestly, the only one who deserves a good ending out of the bunch is MM, let him retire (the right way) and be with his daughter.
Starlight will become a scary squeleton by season 5.
Happy ending for Kimiko and Frenchie too. Take her to that park she wants to go to ❤
@@jager35 Sorry, they're both gonna get blown up together.
Killing homelander (the God of the supes) sets an example to supes, it shows they’re not as invincible as they think, plus homelander’s crimes would be exposed to the public so everybody would see what a monster he was, and the people who would is still try to defend him would be a small minority who would be easily dealt with.
Him dying could make it look like he died a hero if done wrong tho
@@12toro True, they also have to also show the supe comminity what a psycho homelander really is.
we dont always need to have a ''good'' sunshine and rainbows ending to be a good end to the show , AoT had a ''bad'' ending but it was amazing
I agree
Aot ending was booty bruh.
AOTs ending is literal garbage and ruins erens character. It also created multiple plotholes
AoT had some holes. The anime made it better but it's still a meh ending. Code Geass would be a better example
How exactly did it ruin Eren's character@@user-oo8py9hj4q
I think it will. I think Ryan will have the best ending, i feel he will be raised by Hughie and Annie. Those two will offer the stability and comfort Ryan needs.
I do believe alot of the boys will die or leave. Billy and Homelander will start the end of the superhero nightmare. The virus might actually take away peoples powers rather than kill them, ending compound vs hold on the world.
Bro you people keep saying butcher killed homelander he ain't do shi but killed his clone nior right after fighting the actual homelander and after the military shot the guy a whole bunch which is pretty pathetic for butcher cuz he really never faught homelander in the comics
Thank you I was looking to see if anyone said that butcher doesn’t kill homelander
Stop being black
Why are you black?
Might as well been homelander tho cause clone noir was the one actually doing all of the crazy evil things homelander was sought to be doing
@@surfacegrey Noir did a lot of crazy messed up shit that got blamed on homelander but homelander did plenty of evil shit himself, him lasering down a plane while naked at herogasm comes to mind or throwing a car with a family in it for no reason. But the main point was just that butcher didn’t kill homelander, even if it was Noir he should of been after the whole time
The show still fire I think he and homelander will die or homelander dies and he becomes a villain or butcher becomes a villain because of the parasite
Homelander's de#d head is all that matters now.
“Like Caesar” who was killed by his rumored son Brutus, sounds like Ryan does the deed
The was NO physical chance of the show's world getting a truly happy ending since it's very first episode.
Yeah I can see a lot of the characters from the boys in the tv show like the comics not make it and unfortunately like the comic I can see Billy butcher become a villain which would be sad and depressing in my opinion but unfortunately in reality would make sense.
Feel like butcher has been on more in his villain arc since season 3
@@randomnugget7750true and you are right about that and personally for me I was hoping really hoping that the show would’ve avoided the comics fate because frankly the boys comics were just mean sprinted and not fun to read in my opinion.
@@TevyaSmolka i have a feeling it might play out a little the same for the end but I don't think butcher will kill hughie but I think he might end up using the super virus at some point like the bomb he made in the comics I think mothers milk will die from stress I kinda hope not but we will see and hope the do kimiko and fenchie justice and not blowing them up
@@TevyaSmolka starlight will be fine cuz she has evolved into a chad
@@randomnugget7750 I hope so too because honestly those deaths on the comics felt so mean spirited and not fun to see in my opinion.
I wonder if Butcher will go down the same way his Comic book self did. With him bs Hughie
Honestly, as long as Homelander's gone, I will consider the show to have a "happy" ending
all thoughts of a "good ending" that i had in mind for this show were completely gone after watching szn 2 finale
Definetely hope for a good ending quality wise and Im EXPECTING a bad ending in actual terms, like a happy ending wouldnt just fit the show at all.
And yeah and even if war doesn't happen it gets released like hughie he already lost dad and he's at a breaking point so then he loses star light than French would loose kamiko
Butcher doesn’t kill home lander in the comics…. Black Noir does. Turns out he was a clone of Homelander in the comics.
-Or they make a virus that removes the powers of all Supes not born that with powers.
-Butcher dies heroically.
-Vought is exposed and taken down.
-Turns out there is 7 born supes that will be actual heroes.
-The heroes talk about their name, The Seven is tainted and MM (or Huey, or a throwback) spins around in a chair “How about The Boys?”
But nah, it’ll be something shock value.
Starlight and Kimiko could hide in a bunker until the pandemic blows over or wear gas masks.
That virus is super unstable and butcher probably won't tell anyone about the virus not even hughie. Due to joe Kessler's hallucination butcher will just kill everyone and then kill himself
I don’t think it will be a sunshine and rainbows type endings but I think it will be more morally grey but I do think by the end homelander and butcher dead and vought destroyed
This show was never written to have a happy ending
I agree
There might still be one possibility for a good ending, What if everyone rallies against homelander. He is starting to show that there's a hierarchy even in the superhero community. He could turn the community against him by trying to round up those with minor powers in these interment camps of his. That's the only way I see homelander. That's how i see things going down, with a bunch of superheroes who are attacking him at once
Yooo you might’ve just cooked. Everybody realizing how phony he is and just puts a front for the cameras and all attack him like an uprising. Butcher reconnects with Ryan one last time before he dies telling him not to be like his dad. Starlight and hughie ride off in the sunset maybe same for kimiko and frenchie (even though I think one of them dies before the series ends) and MM reconnects back with his wife and family
Did you really expect a happy ending from this show? I sure didn’t. No offense. Keep up the good work. 😑
I second this statement. Good video though.
No not at all...
@@ComicCasualVideosforgot to say mm lost weight too
Yeah, clickbait
Ryan is Nero, Butcher is Dante, and Homelander is Vergil … I see where this is going…
I think in season 5 all of the boys are gonna die. 1 of the seven every episode and 1 of the boys every episode. And it will end with the world ending
hmmm not world ending, but the boys are gonna die, is a good ending in narrative terms, all the supes are gonna die too
At the end of the original series, ol’ Hugh and Annie were the last ones standing.
I BET more than those two live, MM being one more I’ll bet makes it out of there.
Heck, even from the Se7en, Mauve is seemingly written out as still alive when she was killed in the comics.
I think Maeve is coming back if you look at sage in season 4 in a few moments she had Maeve’s journal and talks about how she has a phase 2
@@maxmasse1029 I also actually now think she’s coming back too to be part of taking Homelander down.
I always looked at it that way; Joe Kessler/Butcher’s dark side IS comic-Butcher and only he could say “Daddy’s home” to Butcher and have him quiver in confusion and rage as did Hughie when Butcher said it to him in season 2.
One they I love the most about the boys is that you literally have no idea who’s gonna win unlike Marvel movies where the good guys always win in the end lol…
Remember not every single story has a happy ending. This show has some parallels in current life. Is life ever really fair in the world? Not everyone comes out unscathed. The show will have a quality ending but majority will have to recover from a lot of damage whether physical damage, mental or otherwise and there will be a lot of funerals and a long journey to start over for surviving important characters
Happy ending bro, the show is obviously gonna end well
This made me appreciate season 4 a bit more. This season is ultimately about duality (ex: Starlight/Annie, Frenchie's guilt, Butcher's Kessler, A-Train's heroism, etc.). By the end they'll have to choose who they really are and it'll greatly impact the outcome of an eventual Civil War in season 5.
All of the people in The Boys are spiraling.
Hughie is still grieving over his dad, Starlight is struggling to use her powers, Bucher is going insane and dying, M.M is skinnier and having panic attacks, Frenchie is in jail, Kimiko is clinging to Frenchie. They’re all looking real vulnerable right now.
My boi I’m pretty sure when homelander starts throwin ppl in camps and prisons they are not gone be on his side
With how nihilistic and cynical this show is. It will feel amazing if this show actually do a good ending
I very honestly just want my boy Ryan to be happy 😭 Poor kid has been through too much.
hey, at least he's alive here, for some years, not like in the comic 😂
@@vlinxz Did Ryan even exist in the comics? Well, anyways, I suppose that even if he didn't, your point stands. It's a miracle he's survived this long!
@@cosmicish6806 yeah 🤣 in the comics he born, but died instantly after his birth killed by butcher
@@vlinxz LOL. I'm not even surprised. Tragic.
yeah xD
Butcher didn't do horrible things and kill his friends with a smile on his face at the end of The Boys comics.
Some die horribly and some lives to wish they died instead. Something something character 2024
I would love to see Homelander losing his powers and having to deal with it
Possible death from most likely to less likely imo :
- Butcher
- Homelander
- Ashley
- The rest of vought (the deep, fake noir, firecracker, sister sage)
- Kimiko
- Frenchie (i rly think kimiko n frenchie will died together)
- MM
- Neuman
- Ryan
very accurate, i would put ryan and MM up on the list, i don't see ashley death being that relevant
If there was a good ending, that would mean there's more to the story.
TRUE
Excellent video, glad someone is trying to lessen the blow the ending is gonna bring.
This reminds me of attack of titan where no matter the choice somebody is going suffer drastic consequences and tragedy
hmm it gives a familiar vibe, but without time vision's shits
Butcher didn't kill Homelander in The Boys comics, Black Noir killed Homelander in The Boys comics.
yeah but all the noir thing in the comics is narrative shit, the point is that the noir of the comics is just homelander here, homelander is evil so homelander is killed by butcher or ryan
I kinda hope the final shot of the show is an apocalyptic future scenario featuring soldier boy awakening and wandering through the wastes
Starlight saving the girl from being assaulted in season 1 was a real, unscripted save. A-train was not the first one
My bad I meant for those who are more curropt supes. Starlight is literally one of the good guys my b for not making that clear
The comcs wasnt a happy ending and neither will the show, we will cry and hate it
cry yes, hate it, maybe, but would be a ending that would fit the show
Just out of pure curiosity, do you think after everything that they’ve done with Frenchie in this season so far and what inevitably happens to him in the comics, if they went that route do you think the fans would be happy?
In the comics billy butcher don't kill homelander . Black noir kills homelander and butcher kills black noir
Just realized, the new episode can be called, New Year New Me. As for Bill Butcher.
Good job pal very fun video but Here is the thing I think A third path to the ending would be Ryan they can convince him And show him that his father is An evil Man,and something else too,you talked about people going into rampage due to Homelander's death but that can be easily fixed by the flight 37 video They will show who he is to the world and then no one will be sorry for his loss.
I’m quite literally expecting a watchmen ending where it just starts everything back the way it was
1:17 my guy has a stroke.
It's not over yet jesus
I dont know if im sure but I think that If the ending of the series would be when homelander finally gets killed and then there would be 2 films for butcher where in one he choose not to leave the control to the parasite sacrificing himself and another one when he choose to be evil.
calling it now, the last episode will be called "sunshine and rainbows" or "over the rainbow"
LOL Imagine
would be fun, imagine they make the last episode to rain, just to have a diabolical end with a rainbow and sunshine
My hot take is that the virus will be modified to depower instead of kill. Homelander's identity hinges on the strength of his powers. Without them he just another scared confused man. Whether or not Butcher makes the sacrifice play to do so is up in the air.
They are also planning on making a season 2 of Gen V
i love that thumbnail
There is no way a civil war would happen if all the supes die.
I have 3 predictions.
1. Homelander destroys humanity. He ends up killing Butcher, but after that, he is alone. He has a ruined earth to himself, but is now in a very depressed state. He couldn't deal with this forever feeling of loneliness. Flying into space and giving in to the harsh vacuum of space and suffocate.
2. Homelander vs Ryan. Ryan will rebel against his father and fights him to the death. Very similar to Homelander vs Black Nior in the comics. But before Ryan finishes his father off,Billy delivers the final blow. He then kills off all the boys and leaves Hughie and Annie in care of Ryan.
3. The Virus kills off all Supes.
The virus spreads, and killing all supes. Years later, the supes are now a thing of the past and all of the human race has now gone back to normal. Basically our world. There then will be comic book series that adapts the boys series not just in the form of a comic, a comic adaptation of something that happened in history, people will tell the story of the supes. The good and the terrible. Hughie will grow old and tell his story to his children he has with a new lover. A new life
I honestly just wanna see Homelander thriumph over everything lol
He's the main villain of the story, he ain't winning lil bro😂
I want Homelander to triumph over everyone too lol. He's the most interesting character in the show next to Butcher. I don't care for most the others.
@@Orb7-Revice10-Ulti10 He should win just for being one carrying most of the show lil bro 🥱
I think Season 3 made this clear. I was rooting for Soldier Boy I’m ngl. I’m not entirely sure what the heck is happening with Butcher and Homelander, and the whole direction of the show, but i know shiz is gonna hit the fan soon.
after the new episode i think they missed the chance to go into the comic butcher arc
New subscriber as of now forgot to add that to my 1st comment 😊
Imagine at the end they find a way to take away Homelander’s powers then he cowards away then the whole world finally sees how fragile he is this would be an interesting ending because to Homelander this is a fate worse than death
Nice audio editing
🥲
Dude!! Check out the ending of the game InFamous 2, it's shaping up to go to a VERY similar place.
It's possible that the Supe Virus is the only thing that can actually cure Butcher: the cancer parasite likely absorbed all the V he stole from Frenchie.
I do have a feeling though that he will choose not to use the Virus, and the parasite will allow him to kill Homelander once and for all - at the cost of his own life. The fated "fight to the death" that he and Homelander wanted. 💀
Im still wondering how the mexico spin off and future spin offs will fit in with the boys universe during the modern day when season 1-5 takes places unless they have the mexico spin off show supes on the run or a prequel set during the early days maybe set when the seven have thier heroes from the comics like jack from jupiter and mr marathon
idk what's homelander supporters gonna do when they see the flight 337
twist it to being something for the greater good or that those people were lucky to be spared from life by homelander. considering their reaction to homelander straight up killing in front of them they'll say those flight attendents were american traitors too or smth
but it makes sence for the story
I feel like Homelander might outlive Firecracker differently. She briefly mentioned the side effects of her medicines increasing the size of her heart. You don't just drop a piece of info like that without some sort of narrative payoff later on. (That's how "Checkov's Gun" works.)
I dont think Butcher will go full bad. I think they are playing into this whole "he has a heart" stuff. He still cares for Ryan and he sees Hughie as his little brother whom he already let down. I do think we'll get some sort of twisted happy ending with plenty of casualties, but also some redemtive arcs like they did with Queen Maeve. At least A train is def going in that direction.
Homelander surviving but without his powers would be the best possible outcome. Otherwise there will be always another egoistical supe looking to take over what Homelander started. Supes believe they are invincible so they dont really fear death since they dont even see it as a possibility but seeing Homelander's fate, the strongest man on Earth being stripped down to nothing will strike fear deep into any supe's heart.
I want this to end like a early 2000's teenie movie
We see a-train, freeze frame, text: a train went to ucla to become a football player, he was later shot in a drive by in compton
The first time they disbanded it was because of Mallory and Lamplighter. I do not expect a feel good ending.
This is where soldier boy comes back and burns the V out of some sup.
Butcher will probably sacrifice himself to stop the virus from spreading to anybody else after the deed is done. Closest to happy ending for everyone.
If you mean good as in a well written ending, you’re correct
I mean what if soldier boy came back
I’d say, it’ll be a bitter sweet ending
If Billy doesn't choose the virus route, the only actual good outcome of the show is Ryan standing up against homelander which would encourage the good supes to go against the bad ones. But tbh that would STILL end in way too many casualties. Though, if they want to continue the show that's the route they have to go. The most peaceful outcome for regular humans is the virus option. But tbh that would be boring, & I really doubt it would kill every one of them.
Ok the homelander hand in the thumb bothers me
What if Ryan kills Homelander and then Butcher kills Ryan, since he technically kills Ryan in the book? I've been suspicious of that happening still.
i don’t think they are going to kill starlight. atleast not like that. she’s not just hughies girlfriend she’s starlight. it would be a huge disservice to her character to kill her solely for hughies arc
You never know. Maybe Soldier Boy cures everyone lmao
I mean, I'm not in love with the new season but it's still giving me unexpected turns. This show is supposed to be sad, with a touch of very dark humor. Nobody expects everyone to survive, honestly some of us thought A train would die in season 3.
The child wasn't looking at A-Train in shock and surprise "because" he saved someone; to the public, the supes ALL save lives. They aren't aware that these supes are not really heroes and that the "saves" are staged. The boy was looking at A-Train in surprise at seeing a hero _in action_ RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Maybe even his FAVORITE hero.
...I feel like you completely misread this scene. 😕
What if butcher becomes the main villain
Dude didn't see AOT
