Nurgle worshipers watching as some random woman kills a chaos spawn, a plague ogryn and two waves of enemies with only a revolver and a sledge hammer attatched to a car battery.
Your priest gameplay inspired me to recreate my priest with this voice actor, it's such a holy experience. Phenomenal gameplay as always, I love your vids!
I don't know when they changed it, but now you can deal greater cleave damages to horde of mobs with powered heavy sweep attack. While it's not as effective to dreg and scab mobs, the powered attack can now clear the weakest mobs (poxwalkers, and groaners maybe? Don't really know their names) a lot faster than before. I think this has made Ironhelm significantly better than Crucis, since horde clearing speed has always been a weaker side of thunderhammers, let alone the ability to hit targets through mobs. It's still not as effective as the power swords, but it's definitely improved.
At this point of gameplay, all I have and will use tbf is the heavy eviscerator and ironhelm. I just enjoy their mechanics to sweep and cleave or clear and bash lol
I love the new Ironhelm, but with its buffs, I feel like it's about time we give Crucis the same MOVEMENT RECOVERY after hitting special just like the Ironhelm. Now that the Ironhelm more or less a lot more on par in terms of damage, I used a mod to test 80-stats Ironhelm vs Crucis, there's only roughly like a 200-300ish dmg difference, the fact that you can dodge/move earlier with Ironhelm after landing an activated hit, not to mention with CLEAVE, I think just kinda outmatches the Crucis now. You're stimply stunned a bit too long with Crucis, compared to Ironhelm, that I feel that extra dmg on the Crucis isn't exactly too worth. I've tested Ironhelm VS Crucis against like 10 Crushers in Psykanium, it's just almost impossible for Crucis to kite them around while hitting activated heavies, whereas with Ironhelm's faster movement recovery, you can easily hit back-to-back special heavies.
@@Roberta-yf4ge yeah, but it's kinda like the old power sword issue, shovels aren't for zealots, it's a vet-only melee so honestly I care not to compare them...tho it IS quite ridiculous that a small, flimsy-looking, not-a-power-weapon shovel is capable of easily 2 special-heavy hit-kill Mauler and Crushers, without any movement penalty or even the need for Thrust xD. The double-hitting special hit on vet's folding shovels really make them work well with Skullcrusher At the very least, thunder hammers still got better boss/Unyielding damage than the folding shovels.
@@GodsAwayOnBusiness87 I was kinda talking about vet's folding shovel but yes, Ogryn's folding shovels can, but only with proper pre-setup, 5 stacks of heavy attack dmg thingy and specfic blessings/perks setup. If anything, being able to one-shot Crushers with Ogryn shovels is quite demanding and you most likely won't be able to do it 100% of the times, unless you can keep the heavy attack dmg stacks up all the time.
I’ve watched a fair amount of your videos & therefore feel like I’ve become almost desensitized to your consistent demonstrations of absurd, mythical skill but goddamn…. …that opening clutch was something else. Super entertaining, thanks for vid.
Well i still dont see a point to these weapons. I mean i can do everything and more this thing can on the vet shovel... Thunderhammers have been done dirty and they deserve to be stronger.
Agreed. As a Zealot main, the only reason I run thunder hammers is for aesthetic and stealth one-shot monstrosity build, but that requires positioning, timing, and sacrificing a blessing slot for Thrust. It can't be used in crowds because the empowered swing recovery leaves you defenseless.
Thunder hammers need a complete rework imo. I also see no point to use them, especially after all the buffs so many weapons received. Evis, chaxe and even crusher do their job much better, the only thing the th is remarkable is killing monsters, which are not a big of a deal to begin with. They feel clunky, not powerful enough and their mobility is pure shit. Yep, not gonna bother until they receive the crusher treatment.
Really wish they would just import the V2 hammer. While the 40k hammer has better monster dps, it struggles to deal with medium armor and mixed hoards making a lot less satisfying to use for most of the mission.
Agreed the light attack bonk is top good in vt2 but the main problem is mobility. Since the gameplay also involves gunfights and open halways its not like in vt2 where you can just wait to enemy to come to you to kill them in dt they just shoot you while you tryna reach them with you clumsy hammer😢
I'd say the problem is not mobility but the ability to deal with horde/mixed horde of the weapon. Evis and Crusher are also clunky (Crusher a bit less) but they can also shred/crowd-control, which makes up for the low mobility. For a weapon that looks pretty "crowd-controllable" like THammer, it's surprisingly bad when dealing with horde. Imo they should really make the heavies act like V2 great hammers, which deal less damage, but can cleave through + stagger mixed horde
All specials except for trapper can be light attacked thunderstruck in one hit. There is a hidden x3 to x8 modifier that allows thunder Hammer to bonk it dead in a single hit no matter where you hit.
Hello i'm new to darktide and i've recently gotten my zealot to around level 20. I've started playing more malice games but i noticed i'm having a hard time avoiding damage from shooters. Is it better to just rush at them with the charge than shoot back at them?
I started playing like 2 months ago. But I've found that if I have a revolver, I can shoot them without trouble. If I have a shotgun, I spam on them while approaching them, until they die. And if I have a hard time killing them, I charge at them to melee kill them
Personally, I am LOVING the ironhelm thunder hammer. I get to see my enemies do cartwheels and fly some extra miles in the air. The eviscerator is also very personable. The cleaving power I is nice when you have some good blessings involved.
Do you know which voice+backstory you got to have that "Skulls for golden throne" line? I want to reroll my Zealot to get that, but unsure which option to go to get that...
I'd like publicly declare my hate for the health stim being introduced, all these two wound Andies running around making it impossible to pug an auric and get your mission with no deaths on the team.
Should work the same, only fundamental change is Crucis not being able to hit its Special on an Elite / Specialist enemy through a horde (but it does deal more damage than Ironhelm) so honestly it's your pick
the same build can work with a Crucis, but it won't necessary be able to do the same things : the Ironhelm's horde clear and Elite Sniping is just far more efficient. You gain more from your martyrdom stacks on an Ironhelm that will actually reach effective 1 shots on most elites with around 4 stacks. The only thing that a Crucis does effectively better is boss damage. It's not like the Ironhelm is bad at that, not much point in making everything else harder for the sake of 20% more boss damage.
The first attack doesn't actually land, despite the blood animation. Special heavy with thrust obviously oneshot flamers, and even if it didn't, they'd at least be staggered. Here you see he's not taking any damage. Which is why the follow up hit is still powered up.
Whenever I use the ironhelm Id just rather have a heavy eviscerator, about the only thing the ironhelm does better is bosses and the evis is atleast passable for bosses and more importantly, it mulches hordes.
Personally I agree but I will say that the strength of the Ironhelm is singling out strong enemies in a massive horde, without having to actively peel around other enemies to hit the target. You swing a charger heavy into a crowd and not only does it get extra cleave, it annihilates the crusher coming towards you.
1) They made it so that you can access to overhead heavy after JUST pushing now, that means you can actually use activated overhead heavy much easier. 2) They also buffed the dmg of the overhead heavy a little bit (not as much as Crucis still).
Basically the Push Attack change from... Patch 14(?) made its moveset feel very odd and clunky to use; Push Attack went straight into overhead Heavy 3 and that was terrible This Patch reverted the Push Attack combo into being good ol Push Attack -> Heavy 2 and that makes doing hordes SO much easier Push just goes into Heavy 3 now but honestly that overhead is still not worth the time imo, just happy that the Push Attack -> Heavy 2 came back
