Gotta pick up another one of these! Build one a little more than 3 years ago which got me back into models. Did a pretty good job for the lack of experience I had back then.
I built this kit as a kid. Instead of painting the body, qI polished the plastic for a more scale look. Won many first places at more shows in my area with it. Fun kit!
Great build Chris! Surprised about negative reviews you speak of. Unless I’m mistaken this was originally a Monogram metal flake kit and at the time of its release was highly rated as a great kit; and your review proves that to be the case. Thanks for the review.
I know this kit has been around a long time and it's nice to see it out again. I also like that you did the reverse of the blue and white color scheme I often see on the 427 model.
Nice build Chris, just built one for a friend last month. The lower radiator hose has to go in the triangle part of the front suspension. You have to file it open quite a bit. It's the only part of the kit that's a pain to connect. Other than that, it's a great kit to build. Nice job again
Great looking build. Good color choice. It is nice to see something different on a Shelby. The kit looks like a well designed kit. Good review. Thanks for sharing.
Chris, you must have read my request for the model number of the Molotow pen you used. Thanks for that... it's exactly the same model (size) that I use. Thanks again buddy!
One of the most gorgeous builds I've seen Chris!!! Excellent job as always!! Keep it up. Btw: you re-ignited my love for styrene and I've built about 100+ models in the last year because of it!! Thank you.
Very nice! This kit has been around for a long time with many versions and is still great to build. Some of my favorite versions are the street car with wire wheels and convertible top, the "King Cobra" drag racer with a hard top and the Limited Edition that included painted resin figures of Ken Miles and Carrol Shelby.
Those "'retrieval hooks" you mentioned are actually rack points front and rear for the manual Jack's for competition pit stops. It was good to hear you enjoying yourself during the build. It's just gorgeous -- I love watching your techniques as you work.
Very nice car and video. On the decals, do you soak them in water first ,or the Mr. Mark softer? Also, what was the brand name of the acrylic paint that you used on the steering wheel ? Thanks,Mike
You soak them in water to release them from the backing paper. I forget the brand but any of the craft paints work well, Apple Barrel, Americana, Folk Art, Ceramcoat, they all do a good job.
That's one of my favorite 1/24th Monogram kit.

Nice - especially the way you snaked all those parts together to create this super looking Cobra. Thanks for sharing ! !
Wonderful build and presentation Chris! 👏
Great build. Thank you!
That came out absolutely wonderful Chris great build 👍👍
This is a must have kit and it is in 1/24!
Nicely done, Chris.

(Shut 'em down) Spring little Cobra now with all of your might 🎶🎶
Another nice build Chris !
Love the video. Great channel
Really nice. Great detail. 👍
Very sharp looking automobile 😊
Looks great! That's one I've never built before.
That’s a really great result. Looks like an awesome kit. Even the stance is right on the money. Fantastic color combo too. Love it.

Another fantastic build. I've used (with success) Tamiya TS-79 semi-gloss clear over chrome to tone it down...

Awesome! Thank you!
Looks like Monogram, i built the Essex Wire racing version of it decades ago. Good job on the build, very nice!
Absolutely incredible Shelby build Chris! Love the custom details you did to it! I also primer and paint over my chrome parts too!
Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for doing this build. I've been on the fence about buying this kit. Your build has inspired me to get it.
Hope you enjoy it!
Great build up, Been wanting to do one for awhile, off to Modelroundup I go!

Sweet😎👍🏻
Are you using quick set tamiya cement? Or thicker stuff.

Do you thin your tamiya paint or just use it straight out the bottle ?
and also. What is that glue in the red bottle? Thanks.
good job! That's definitely not an easy kit to build and make look that good.

@@hpiguy thanks,
Its an old monogram kit they should put monogram logo on all of the old monogram tooling
The rear suspension is a pain in this kit.
Revell makes nice kits but their tires are not realistic looking like Round2 has
i am a few months late to reply but that radiator is backwords they did a horrible job explaining it though no ones fault but theres on that part lol
Great looking car- wouldn't mind driving that one.
