- Land Rover Range Rover Evoque model year 2020 review. I've owned this car for over 12 months and covered over 6000 miles. In this video I give you a walk around and show you some of the features of this car. This is the SE speck car with no additional options. A few things which i would change is adding the keyless entry system, steering wheel flappy paddles for the auto gearbox, the black pack styling and black wheels, these options would really make this the complete car.
You can't configure this speck car anymore with the D180 engine as an SE and the low end Evoque doesn't come with the 2 10 inch displays.

Absolutely love my Evoque plug in hybrid. 5 years old and no problems !
The last thing you want is 'Keyless entry' unless you want to see a couple of hoodies driving it away at 4am!I have an HSE and Landrover disabled it for me without me asking.
@Trebor-hc7ri 🤔😮? How.. because I think I'm having that problem . I believe my neighbors sons have been taking my car at night and parking it back crooked.. my alarm isn't working anymore because of the keyfob... but I just ordered cameras.. cause I know it's happening. ..I just didn't know how.. I seen it on crime shows repeatedly tho...... I had another friend just went through the same thing but they caught them reparking the car..... they have been damaging my rover when they take it and park it back.. thanks for this comment
Good review man! I'm looking at buying a 2020 evoque, but obviously hear and read all the realibility issue, have you had any issues with yours?
My local dealer must have had a heads up from JLR because I have never been able to 'walk up and open' the car, even though it was a feature. I did invest in a 'Stop Lock Pro' Steering lock for my previous Evoque and use it on this one. The best thing is that anyone looking at relaying the key signal can see that they have a physical barrier to defeat, so go and nick one down the road. Spookily, I have just had a letter from JLR asking me to book my car in for an urgent software upgrade. Only thing is, they can't get it in until June. Thank you stoplock! 😀
I am going to get the same car/engine. Can’t wait to get it. Thx for the vid Sir
Hi there great video just wondering where JLR replaced the rear tail light under warranty as my sister has the same issue i would be very grateful for a reply thanks again for a great video
Hey, thanks for the comments, I actually didn’t get round to taking it in to get it looked at as quite soon after this i changed into the disco sport. I have found even with my Merc they were quite reluctant to change a headlamp which had some condensation although that dried up and then it was fine. Best to monitor it for a while and if it doesn’t clear or get worst, just keep going back to them.
Thanks for prompt reply Darren will let you know how we get on 😂
I have a 2014. And I can't find videos on how and where exactly to change my fluids under the hood.. I'm trying to do the transmission fluid... I frilled the oil and the coolant and got a new battery under the hood .not the battery in the back trunk I don't know how to get to it either...... I had a hard time finding videos for where the battery was located also and how to change it.... my local autozone stores .. won't change it because of the bar across the top ..so that stops my free service for that😂.. and a lot of them didn't even know where my battery was😊.I had to go to UA-cam to locate it smh.... so much for good car service stores...another thing alot of videos are 2013 and my car looks different under the hood and inside the car driving gear etc.
Thanks for the video! What does the red triangle that appears where the ""i" is located on the map in the instrument display mean? We just got an Evoque with that symbol and we can't figure out what it means!
Think it’s just a warning to tell you that either a door is open, seatbelts, the engine is off etc, normally disappears after a few seconds and everything is ok. There should be a menu to read all the warning messages.
I hear these are pretty problematic with repairs and reliability ?
All Land Rovers have a bad rep for reliability but to be honest I’ve had 4 disco sports, several Evoques and a Jaguar E pace, and none of them have left me stranded at the side of the road. Of course there’s been the odd/know issue with one or two but no really major problems. Perhaps I was just lucky. I would always recommend an extended warranty if it’s out of the manufacturers warranty.
Nice Honda. Oh wait nevermind . What a crappy overpriced suv
They're very nice. When you have family who've owned Hondas and family that's owned Land Rovers you know the difference is stark
