I am a kindergarten in crochet. Because of your crochet instruction videos, I finished 2 hats in just 2 days (only during free times).
All can do crochet, but few are gifted in teaching crochet!
    Thank You!

PLEASE WATCH THIS WONDERFUL VIDEO. However, I'm just writing the pattern in case someone needs to return for the pattern. I hope that's okay.
    Basket Weave Hat
    Chain 9
Skip the first stitch and crochet 8 sc in the back loop.
Chain 1, turn, crochet 7 sc in back loop. Place the 8th sc through both loops.
Chain 1, turn, 7 school in back loop. Place 8th sc through both loops.
Repeat for 72 rows then join together by placing the ends together and either sc them together through the back loops or slip stitch them together through the back loop.
Once connected, dc all the way around for a total of 72 dc. Join with a slip stitch.
Chain 2, crochet 4 front post double crochet. Then crochet 4 back post dc. Repeat all the way around for a total of 4 rows.
Chain 2, in the 4 front post dc
from the precious row, you are to crochet 4 back post dc, in the 4 back post crochet, you are to crochet 4 front post dc.
Repeat this pattern for a total of 4 rows.
Make a set of 4 for a child of the entire sequence then decrease. Make a set of 6 for an adult.
To decrease, you fp dc into the first bp sc, for the next two bp sc, you're going to crochet 1 fp dc. So you're joining them together. The 4th bp dc, you'll crochet 1 fp dc. Repeat for 4 rows.
For the next decrease, chain 2. Join the first 2 bp dc with 1 fp dc. Place 1 fp dc in the next bp dc, then join the next 2 bp dc with 1 fp dc.
Repeat till you feel the hat fits.
I hope this is helpful the host and the rest of you all.

Thank you for this pattern. I think the bulk it adds to a hat is great. Many homemade hats aren't warm enough. If you made this with a soft wool, yum. I also like it that it works for men and women and children!

@Mango T I’ve learned that sometimes you have to take time for yourself. Just pretend you’re making a hat for someone else. When you’re done, KEEP IT! 😂 I’ve done the same thing with shawls. I have to sneak one in every once in a while. 😁

👋🏻 hello 😊 love this tutorial, could I just ask one question though, to make the man’s size without a pom-pom, would the little circle hole be left open? As I know you said if it’s pulled too tight it bunches too much? Is there any other way to close the hole without bunching?
    Thankyou kindly 🥰
