I finished this hat last night and love it! It was easy and quick and I love the stitch. I used some pretty peach color yarn I got at Hobby Lobby and it came out beautifully. Thanks for a great tutorial!

I have this bumpy and soft yarn~ its hard to work with but I love it so much! Ive had it for some time and think I found the perfect project to make with it! Light brim colour that matches and then the fluffy bumpy yarn for warmth on the top part. I'm so excited~ thank you so so so much for this easy tutorial!!

@@SirinsCrochet LOL. I dont know what I did wrong, but right where you start the new row it looks like its decreasing right from 2nd row on. . . Rest of it was even and fine, but that join at the end for me isn't working and with the lumpy bumpy yarn its hard to tell what I'm doing wrong.
EDIT: AND I figured it out! I needed to do one more single and double crochet right at the same spot I joined at the start of the row~ that way I'm not skipping a loop and making it decrease before the actual decrease rows. PHEW. Glad I gave it a few tries before giving up. AGAIN, this tutorial is awesome to follow even if the yarn I choose isn't so easy. Hahah. Thanks so much for this video again!

i am making the hat for someone and I used a larger crochet hook do the hat but the ribbing was an H hook then switched up to an I for the hat body which is done in a grit stitch Meladora teaches this stitch very clearly so I suggest beginners do a swatch before making the hatand always chain less for your ribbing as it will stretch to a third of original stitches

I adore this hat! Super easy too! I love all of your hats soooooooo much! Each one is so elegant. I want to make them all!!! I love that you make your hats with a narrowed top, no bulkiness of fabric at the top of the head. Besides all of the beautiful stitches that you use, this is the 2nd best part of your hats.
I also love that I don't need you right beside me helping me crochet. (Even though I would love that very much) You teach really really well and show us 'new crocheters' how to work the stitches properly. You are very thorough and your voice is very calming.
I haven't checked yet, but do you have a hat pattern that uses bulky yarn. Is there a pretty stitch that I could use that would make a pretty woman's hat with bulky yarn? Or maybe a masculine hat? I have a big ball of bulky yarn that I don't know what to do with xx
All the hats have same shape yet different textures. So interesting!

I will definitely be making this hat. You have the best tutorials I have seen on UA-cam! The camera work is perfection and your explanations are simple and easy to follow. Also thought demonstratin with the white yarn helped visually. I want to make for a 3-6 month old. Suggestions on how many chains to begin?

Just a heads up for beginners try something else as your first hat. This tutorial wasnt as "beginner friendly" as I'd hoped. Sirin makes beautiful things! I want to get to this level ♡ but My hat turned out very different. Could just be me. That's ok. But if you're a true beginner I just felt a heads up would be appreciated ^_^ and Thank you Sirin!! Will be trying this again soon!!
It came our too large for me.
Measure the ribbed band around your head before starting the pattern. I usually make mine 20 inches to allow for the stretch in the ribbing, of the band. Most adults measure between 20 -22 inches. Hope this helps.
