For those people that did not counted how many times the fish jumped, I have to say it did jumped NINE TIMES again it jumped NINE TIMES. That is the most incredible video so far in terms of a hooked fish jumping out of the water. I also pays to remember that the jumps were spectacular.I have never seen so many jumps like that. Even for those fish that normally jump when hooked such as the tarpoon, sail fish, etc. Nice job guys. Thanks for placing the video on youtube. This video deserves a prize
Amazing shortfin mako Shark, but i have a noob question: I really appreciate you guys releasing the fish, but did they fully recover from the wounds of the hook? Did they have real chances to survive after release? Thanks
Was this your target species? If it was you guys are absolutely insane trying to catch something like that with that tackle in that boat. I’m hoping for everyone involved (shark included) that you managed to get him unhooked and on his way without anything going wrong.

Assuming they revived it properly, definitely, sharks are more resilient than could imagine so I'm sure they revived it and it swam off strong

It was a mako on the fly tournament. Everyone lived. We still go and visit the shark every year to reminisce on the good ol' days 🦈
