Boeshield T-9 is 100% awesome for so many things on your vehicles and beyond. Cost per can is "high" but the amount of things you can do with it is unreal. Switched from WD-40 to this decades ago and anyone I've introduced to it is like, "Where have you been all my life?" Comes in a spray and a bottle. Just be careful if you put one of those red tubes into the spray tip to reach into tight spots. It uses lots of pressure from the can and if you only spray through the tube with every use you can end up with a dead can that still has some liquid in it.
@@Tacomaholic It’s not like we don’t know what causes rust and something about metallurgy. Like most tacomas mine has small amounts of rust in a few spots. Do I just spray the boeshield over these areas as well? Should I do a thorough wash first? Thanks
@@at1970 You could use the Boeshield Rust Remover ( amzn.to/3yJVexV ) on the rust spots first, then wash, the spray down with the regular Boeshield spray.
I seen you in Fairfax county, maybe you seen me too? I was in a solar octane 22 TRD Pro Tundra. What’s funny is I remembered another orange toyota and the license plate, then I ran across your channel tonight!
Putting in the work. Crawled under this afternoon, greased the driveshaft and Fluid Filmed the undercarriage and suspension. But..now...your saying go with the Boeshield? Better than Fluid Film?? Have a 2015 sr5. Love your channel. Much appreciated.
Just bought a 2012 to replace my 2006 that had a fatal run-in with a deer. Unfortunately, previous owner did little to prevent rust. Doing some sanding/scaling etc. Does Boeshield need to be applied often? Will it survive winter undercarriage wash or does it need to be reapplied?
@@Tacomaholic have you tested this against serious roadwash? ... i drove the taco Gen1 in constant rain about 8 hrs across Iowa and Illinois and all the FF i had sprayed in the rear wheel well frame literally got beat right off, what a wasted effort! The WW HV brush-on product will NOT do that but unfortunately it collects a massive amount of dirt and sand, etc.
Hi. A few questions. I'd like to know what color orange your tacoma is? And what type of steering wheel did you put on it? And do you think that would fit a 2006 tacoma?
My tacoma is wrapped in matte orange vinyl. Here's a link to the steering wheel install video and it will fit on a 2006 but none of the control buttons would work: ua-cam.com/video/3vhCGI6moYY/v-deo.html
Been fluid filming for years, live in Jersey and the brine and salting is overdone. Going to check this product out because I hate everytime I get under the truck I get dirty AF!!
@@Jay_Hova420 like Tacomaholic said, use it for smaller areas. Fluid film leaves a dark greasy film on everything and want to keep my shocks (Bilstien) looking new.
Brian, have you seen the new (to me) body mount replacement? Instead of just chopping part of the body mount off you cut off the entire body mount and weld and bolt on an aftermarket one.
... so i tried some BT-9 on my relatives '11 spare wheel that i cleaned the rust and put some paint onit. An issue with the BT-9 is its thin when applied and WILL drip over wasted until I guess it is dried? BUT no nasty rotten smell like FF plus it has a super shine in the sun, but who is going to see that shine underneath on the wheel
Hey man, So I switched my front suspension out to king 2.5 ext. i am ready to buy the back shock but I was wondering if it would be better to buy the stage 3 king shocks instead of 2.5’s! What do you think? The price difference is astronomical almost 3 x as much as the 2.5s. Let me know I need to get those ordered asap. I also ordered t9 stuff from Amazon but when you click on your link it does not take me to the Amazon app. I just searched for it on the app and ordered 5 bottles. Do you still get credit for that? I haven’t paid yet! Just a side note I have total. Chaos upper and lower control arms with the weld on cam tab gussets, steer knuckle gussets and tower bucket gussets. I am also wonder should I get the triple bypass shock in the front?

Use it on all my mountain bikes. Survives in rugged northern BC. I will keep this in mind for when I lift my Taco!
The most amazing thing is that Toyota continues to make trucks that dissolve in a few years.
It is a bit shocking how they haven't absolutely solved that problem.

Thanks man! I should be uploading a short vid today explaining why it's been so long since the last vid.
Looking great on those King’s! I’ll have to get some.
Good to know… for my car too.
Never heard of it definitely going to make this my next project and take off my kings. Clean and spray them down.
You should be able to give the Kings a good cleaning without removing them.
@Chano Leyva I'll take the tire off to give the suspension a good cleaning and found that to be plenty of room.
Love the shirt Brian🤙🏼

Both are great options, I just prefer the Boeshield on stuff like the suspension since it goes on clear.
How often do you apply?
I'll spray down the suspension every few months after giving it a good wash after its dried.
Does it collect dust? I'm guessing it does, but....
It's not too bad actually.
Today I stopped living under a rock 😅
Is this a viable substitute for Fluid Film or Woolwax for treating the frame then? Or do you use them both?
Yes it is and I use both.
@@Tacomaholic does this product collect/attract massive amounts of dirt and sand like FF and WW seem to do?

Depends on how nasty the winters are I suppose.

What suspensions struts and shocks do u have ? I’ve been wanting to replace the stock ones on my 2001 Tacoma but want some good recommendations
King 2.5" extended travel in the front (with resi) on 700lb springs, and 12" King 2.0 shocks in back relocated. The Kings ride like a dream.

Unless you are doing high speed desert racing/jumping the 3.0s are going to be overkill.
