Thank you so much for doing the At Home vids! And especially for showing them in direct sunlight! This has been so helpful and I am very grateful and appreciative!👍
Lovin the videos Henry! Just built an arsenal for washing and polishing! Trying to bring out any shine in my 1956 chevy. Arizona car with basically no rust, but is very sun patina. Majority of clearcoat is missing. Sitting dry car looks black/greyish. Wet brings out green makes a lot of metallic flake pop, until she dries. The roofline has faded back to original turquoise with that green around edges. Thank you Henry, DetailGarage and Chemical Guys!
I currently plan on using the foam blaster 6, blacklight wash soap, blacklight glaze, random orbital polisher kit, extra black hex pad, hand applicators. Complete claybar kit for glass. I'm not sure if I should also try to very lightly claybar the car and/or try to very lightly polish.
Henry always looks like he is having fun!!!😂
When you love what you do everything is fun! -CG Henry

We are lovin your support!
Great job Henry Love the Claybar set from Chemical Guys also you pay for the high price waxes but you will get no better than Butter Wet Wax
Thanks for the amazing feedback!
Awesome 👌
Thanks for the amazing feedback!
I bought the Chemical Guys Clean Slate Clay Kit and Hydroslick ceramic coating Hyperwax
Wash with Clean Slate soap, dry, clay bar then do I wash again to get any residue from the clay bar lube off or not required before ceramic coating?
How often can I use the protection and clay bar ?
different type of sun ☀️. that was pretty funny.
😃
Looks good
Thanks for the amazing feedback!
@@ChemicalGuys you’re welcome
Thanks for filming the video at home! Henry, How long did it take to clay the whole car? Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback and it took about 15 minutes.
Killer combo 🔥 top it wirh spray wax 🔥. What’s the temp? Jet seal cures properly in direct sunlight? Interesting I never knew that
Top it off with your favorite spray wax! The temperature was in the 70's and as long as the surface is not too hot you will be fine applying Jetseal!
@@ChemicalGuys cool to know cuz I be doing it early in the morning tryna rush before the sun comes out lol but jet seal and butter wet wax is gold 🔥
Can you apply hydro blitz on top of all this? Would it make a difference?
Hey! Absolutely, add HydroBlitz to maintain your coatings while adding shine and more protection.
Ok i am sorry my English is not 100% perfect so sometime I am not sure I understand so to start I want to put a ceramic coating to my Subaru the hydro slick hyper wax my question is I just wax my car last week so do I need to do this processing with the clay lumber or clay bar? Before I used hydro slick ceramic coating? Also can I used ceramic coating on my window my bike rack who is I stall on the back of my car anything else I should know before I start?
Wash and clay bar your surface before u ceramic coat
My friend recommended to use the butter wet wax and then apply the jet seal, is it ok to do it in that order?
For best results, we recommend doing the sealant first, then follow it up with the wax.
Forgot to ask also can apply the sealant with a orbital at lower speeds. Only asking because I will be doing a full exterior detail and doing paint correction on my whole car and I wanna know how to approach this. May have to do wash and clay one day and next day prep and do paint correction and protectants next day
Yes, you may apply a wax and sealant with a orbital polisher. Just be sure to spread them using a finishing pad and the lowest speed setting.
Got all the strength from tag ripping 🤘
Hey Henrry! Question: after doing this process, can I apply a coat of "Hydro Slick ceramic coating hyperwax"? To do like a complete paint protection. Thanks 👍🏻
Hey! Apply HydroSlick to a bare surface and then it can be layered with your favorite sealant and/or wax for added shine and protection.
hello guys! does that clay bar scratch the paint job? thanks for your videos
Hey! Use Clay Luber generously to prevent scratches and marring.
So these products are meant to be used in the sun ☀️ ? The curing time isn’t as fast as most other waves or liquid sprays?
You may use them in the sun as long as the surface of the car is not too hot.
Do I need to strip the wax when I rewash? My bird dropping stains also didn’t come out with the clay bar and wax 😢 I might need to compound
Definitely need cutting compound for deep stuff like that or even heavy clay bar
It’s the jet seal ok to apply with an orbital and wax type pad
Yes, just be sure to use a finishing pad and spread it on speed setting 1.
@@ChemicalGuys got it. Thanks.
Could you use those products for windows as well?
Yes, you may!
Hey I would like a video of you guys doing compounding a polishing outdoors in sun because a lot of people don’t have a garage access or sometimes even shade. I’m getting ready to tackle a huge job and doing paint correction outdoors. I think I’ll be outside before sun is way to hot
Sounds like a great video idea, we will be sure to film this video soon!
What kind of microfiber towel are you using?
Hey! Check out the link down below.

So after you do this method how do you was between? Just do regular wash and wax?
I usually do a spray wax after every wash ( I wash mine 1x a month) after doing this method. And maybe butter wet wax every 2-3 months to keep shine and protection.
@@gperezx23Thanks i’ll
do that
Can I send y’all pictures of the stuff I have on my truck and rims to help me out with what I need to get
Yes, send it via IG or FB!
If my car is super contaminated- which it is- how do I know when to stop? does it need to be perfect?
We recommend claying the surface until it becomes smooth as glass then proceed with the next steps.
Is it recommended to clay bar a brand new vehicle before applying a protectant coating, or is it not really necessary?
Yes. Its necessary. "brand new" means it hasnt sold or been registered, it could have been built and sat on a delivery truck or lot for who knows how long
How often should you do this process with clay bar- seal-wax?
Every time you guys have a new video to pop up it makes me sick now.
I had like maybe $300 of stuff from you guys, bought over time not at once of course, and it was in a container in the back. Someone stole my whole container. I had the whole set up perfect and a good hose pipe. All gone because someone thought they just deserved what I had worked and paid for. 💔💔💔
This video is flawed from the start. You should not being any of this in direct sunlight.
The point of this series is to be at home in the sun. Go watch the 1st video
@@tigris4149a2 any product you apply in sun will be inferior in shine and protection and definitely durability. You have a garage right behind you and even most apartments have car ports. Buy decent products and do it correctly. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
Hey! We recommend checking out the first video. This series is intended for anyone that does not have a garage, shade, or a detailing bay. There are a lot of people that ask us this question that is why we did this video. Btw the sun will not inferior the protection and durability because we clayed the surface to allow the sealant and wax to go into the pores of the paint. If you don't clay and just apply a sealant or wax that is when the sun will make it wear off faster.
