I've been using Cync bulbs for a year, GE product... but they have been phenomenal and have had no issues with the app or the bulbs... unfortunately they weren't part of this comparison, so I don't know where they would rank

Thanks for doing this review and giving you end result opinion. For me, it would've helped a LOT if you put the price per bulb in parentheses after the name on your ranking lists. i.e. Wyze($8).
Because if a bulb ranked one spot higher in one of your tests...but costs 4x more!...I'll take the 2nd place. :)
    Great job and thank you.

I was actually considering Wyze for my next bulb, however, I went with Wiz, as I've also heard good things, and so far they have had very few problems. Looking on Amazon revealed that the Wyze bulbs have a growing amount of critical reviews to to firmware issues, and quality issues as far as the bulbs lasting long term. How have your Wyze bulbs fared long term ? The price is good for the Wyze, but I don't want to invest in them, if they aren't going to be stable long term. Good video, and would be curious to hear your thoughts.

@@BrandonDoyleMN Glad to hear it. I've decided to go with the Wiz lights for the time being. They have the A21 model which I prefer that bulb size in my bedroom lights. They really get bright, and they are brighter than the Wyze bulb at 1600 lumens. For the bulbs that do better with the A19 sized bulbs, I did the Wiz 800 lumen bulbs in those.
Will keep wyze in mind, if I encounter any show stopping problems with my current upgrade.

@@BrandonDoyleMN Thank you. I do find it very difficult choosing, like most people. Your video has helped. The thing for me is that I want a very high CRI and a programmable Sicanian Rythm, but I don't like to spend too much. Not an easy position to be in. I have loathed poor quality LED lighting for over a decade, and to be honest, I am a little disappointed that so little quality lighting is available.

    • @BrandonDoyleMN

Look for any bulb with high lumen count, it should be right on the box. We highlighted some of the brightest bulbs here, but if you're purchasing standard bulbs or even smart bulbs that dim but don't do color there may be even brighter options. Philips Hue's newest smart bulb is 1100 lumens

Honestly, 60w equivalent is dingy and too dark. Why are so many manufacturers so reluctant to put out 100w equivalent? Even 2 of those aren't necessarily dark enough to lift up a whole room, which is often the ask in ceiling fans.

Wyze bulbs will let you down, I've had them for a year, the app crashes OFTEN, and the red and blue aren't as saturated as they used to be, it's very frustrating as red is my favorite color. Now, it looks like red food coloring washed out with water.
