I've used Roku for years and I'm fine with it, but one of the most frustrating things about it's remote is the lack of a MUTE button. How on God's green earth, in this century, do you forget a simple mute button. I'm convinced it is no accident. A feature to add later to make sure you'll be able to sell some more devices. The remote also eats batteries like candy - probably from having to hold volume up and down constantly - unless people just love listening to loud commercials. Maybe Roku is getting some money on the side from big advertising firms to make sure no easy way to mute and force us all to listen.

"installing the faucet was a breeze I simply called up a contractor and had them do it for me" hahaha that's gold Jerry, gold, I don't need to but I want to install a motionless faucet in my kitchen but I hear a few not so good things about them not working properly and cause more headaches than the traditional faucet. have you had any issues with your faucet, I am a Moen brand type of guy, what you have is the 7594-arbor smart which is a bit out of my budget. have you had any experience with the lower end such as Moen Birchfield touchless or Essie Touchless, thank you in advance

Doesn’t work on mine the home settings is hidden under another step and there’s nothing in there about advertisements. I already have the shopping and advertisement stuff off, and I still get advertisements for everything under the sun. Amazon should refund every dime I spent on these echo shows because they’re pure garbage and the microphones are terrible.

I really like the echo spot for the bedroom more so than getting the show for the bedroom because i feel like its more like having a table or something and the screen would be distracting when trying to go to sleep but the spot being able to have the night mode is great and can still see the clock if I need to add being able to play music or get the Alexa to give me the weather or news and set an alarm clock i don't really care about having a camera on the spot because i don't feel like that is what the purpose is to having it i had an older version Alexa dot not the one with the clock and wanted to upgrade so the spot was perfect for what I was wanting in my bedroom the show would be good in the living room or somewhere other than the bedroom since its more like a tablet or something that has things popping up all the time like a small TV or tablet

A nice quick view but surely some copyright-free music could have been tested - decibels provide not sense of tone etc.

If your echo device doesn't show the time, just ask Alexa for the time.

Doing the zig zags in the wall to have access for a future light is sloppy workmanship. You have an attic on top of you. Even if that attic is going to be totally enclosed there are much cleaner ways to do this.

Recommend Liftmaster MyQ garage door. Amazon can deliver your packages inside too. That's the only upgrade I see missing. I put Lutron caseta switch in my garage with two motion sensors so if I am in the garage the garage lights turn on in addition to the Liftmaster lights.

What’s your opinion on the mop feature in regards to light spills and stains? I currently have a Roborock S4 and mop once a month. I take care of hard spills right away, but stuff like water drops and foot prints, I leave till the end of the month to mop. Would the mop feature of the S8 MaxV Ultra eliminate these small water or footprint stains on the floor? Would like to upgrade if it can eliminate the manual mop all together since my entire house is vinyl flooring!

HELP! We are just starting on a custom home, like lot bought, architect going to give us prelim plans hopefully in the next week. Builder picked and he has walked the lot and he met the architect. We’re in Colorado. I don’t want a “dumb” home but I don’t want a total smart home either? What is good to include and what is fluff. Smurf tubes to upgrade later this smart. But do you have a “must have” and a “nice to have” list for smart upgrades. We’re on a tight-ish budget so smarter smart upgrades are good. Overkill is too expensive.

Looks like you had the same issue I had when it did the door handing for the first time. The deadbolt didn’t go back all the way in (unlock). Did you get a red light error like I did? How did you fix it?
