- Everyone has mastered the Liquid Metal Slime class to obtain the Magic Burst skill. They then use this to kill Nokturnus in 2 rounds. A humiliating defeat for such a strong boss.
Holy crap I just bought this game off eBay and it had a save file for mike and all other characters at level 99.. Then I watch this video. Small world lol
Talk about making the final boss look bad. Noktrunus vs Mortamor, it's like pitting Ovelord Baal vs a Prinny. XD
And even the super boss is utterly crashed by this player. 2 rounds, and Nokturnus, the deity of destruction goes down. I wonder what that makes Terry then, as strong as the god of reality himself? Either Nokturnus was really that weak, or Nokturnus wasn't even giving his all when he fought Terry and his party.
BassGSnewtype Full Spec DOOD!
@@richardliu5339I'd say the latter.
*Nokturnus laughs.*
I *love* the transition into the third part of the fight.
And always liked the "reward" for beating Dark Dream/Nokturnus. Who needs an uber powerful weapon that you no longer need like some other games? Still not sure if any other game has done something quite like this for their optional super-bosses.
Talk about a badass character.
Nokturnus took care of that like a G.
"Izzat all you needed me to do? Aight, I'm out.
Terry and his slimes lol
coughdragonquestmonstercough
Mortamor:I'm tired of this shit! >:|
Nokturnus:U mad?
"GOOD DAY TO YOU."
To think that Nokturnus could make Mortamor look like a wuss.
You can get one Liquid Metal Mind scroll without fighting Nokturnus. It is in the Dream World version of the Cave near Amor after beating the game (starred save file). You will see the location in the ending sequence after defeating Mortamor (Terry is in the scene where the location is revealed).
You can also recruit a Liquid Metal Slime who comes with this class.
Even though I like the original version better, Dark Dream killing Deathmoore like that in the remake is badass
Holy shishkabob! Arte Piazza really pulled out all the stops when it came to animating the enemies...
@MJE64 I trained in the Dreadlair (Mortamor's castle) on floor above the one that has the healing circle. The reasons for this were that proximity to the healing circle allowed for long grind sessions without returning for an Inn and because Metal King Slimes appear there (albeit somewhat infrequently).
@AQWSadowofUndead No, it's in the Liquid Metal Slime vocation. You need the Liquid Metal Mind book to assume that vocation. Also, Ashlynn can learn Magic Burst by advancing the story without needing the Liquid Metal Mind vocation.
@LordRoto Touché, but it still seems wrong for Nokturnus to go down that fast.
My favorite part about this is just how polite Nokturnus is before he leaves.
Agrotera Thanatos
I got the feeling he was just a little pissed off that he was asked to do something so easy but chose to take his anger out in another game. XD
and all of Dragon Ball was never seen again
Well, Beerus and Champa would say otherwise.
I guess you could say he was...
*puts on shades*
Bursted Down.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Wish they did a nokturnus vs estark battle of the super bosses
i like a huge fan in this game i just love it :D !
Yes, you can repeat the fight against Nokturnus as many times as you like.
But not as humiliating a defeat as Mortamor's. At least Nokturnus got to land few hits.
The only thing scarier than Nokturnus' powers are... his customer service skills. :D AAAAAAA++++++, would ask to kill final bosses again.
This level of gameplay is unmatchable
well, you do befriend monsters in this game, so nothing much is out of the ordinary.
I thought Ashlynn was the only one who could pull off magic burst. I thought that was a sorcerian only type of thing. How'd you do it?
The Magic Burst skill is also granted in the Liquid Metal Slime vocation. Anyone who obtains a Liquid Metal Mind scroll can assume that vocation and get the associated skills. In this case, I farmed Liquid Metal Mind scrolls off of Nokturnus (who drops them with a 1/16 frequency) until everyone had that skill. The drop frequency can be improved to nearly 1/2 if you beat Nokturnus with a party full of master thieves.
Blurgh. The ONE class I haven't gotten yet I gotta beat Nokturnus to get it.
Brandon McGlothurn
Well, you can get one Liquid Metal Mind scroll without beating Nokturnus. In the ending sequence of the game, watch Terry. He will be checking out a spot in a cave you have visited on your quest. If you return to that spot in that cave, you can search it to find a Liquid Metal Mind scroll.
awesome!!!!
@KingZenithDen True dat, he should really wear more armor then a funky body suit and speedo haha
@LORDSAMBRAT Nokturnus drops them occasionally when you beat him.
"These people defeated me... Easily..."
Hey, great video! I was beginning to wonder what happened to Nokturnus. By the way, how'd you get Kingsley? And how do you unlock the Liquid Metal Class? And what about the other classes? xD Sorry I'm just full of questions, things I should know, considering I finished the game T_T
Kingsley will join you after win the 7th round of the Best Dressed Contest at Chateau de Sass. Liquid Metal Slime class is unlocked by obtaining the Liquid Metal Mind scroll. One of these can be found on the ground in a dungeon after beating the game (there is a hint of its location during the ending sequence). The other scrolls are dropped by Nokturnus with base odds of 1/16. You can improve those odds to nearly 50% by having four thieves in your party.
KingZenithDen
Thanks for the quick reply! Hm, I didn't realize they were things to do even after the game!
UltimatumC I guess he went to Beerus and said he did something as awesome as him
When you defeat mortamor for the first time, before this battle, head to the dream shack and there you will meet the liquid metal slime, kingsley is obtained by talking to him after finishing the final round in the fashion contest
Did you try working the shaft?
I was so lazy to fight nokturnus so I just watch this
i started playing this on the 3ds the first time
Nokturnus the strongest living thing in the history of dragon quest.
Is this the only way to get the metal slime class? some one please help
i don't know any of these gameplays, i usually just play dragon warrior monsters/dragon quest monsters joker. things like classes?? skills?? dang, i've missed a lot
aisea havea damn you have. You gotta try the main series games they're awesome.
Lmao that part was top tier
magic bursts damage is calculated like this. 2 damage per 1 mp so if you have say 900 mp youll deal 1800 no more no less
Correct but it the other games it may be possible to 1 turn kill such bosses since it does MP damage x3 instead of only 2x and in DQ11 IT CAN be boosted even higher then 2998 up to 9999 damage or more.
However I really only had Milly/Ashlynn lv 85 to lv 90 actually hit 999 MP not so much with the others.
@MagatsutheCalamity
If you mean Numen (the god of the DQ world), Nokturnus is still stronger (or so says Enix, but I'd have to agree with them). Apparently, Nokturnus is supposed to be the strongest thing in the DQ Universe aside from the heroes.
I have a few questions that I don't expect to be answered. 1 How did you get to level 99, on all characters and two, where do you fight nokturnas?
Even if it's 4 months I'll still answer, u have to beat mortamor once then u have to master some think like 8 classes on 1 hero then go to the vocation church in the dream world and the door in the room in the back will be open, there is a little dungeon and then u can access to Nokturnus.
For the lvl99 he might have only grind, like he je said it took him 109 hours to reach this lvl, not really surprising when u think about it.
its like a different ending
@gilmore7888 Yep, that's right.
also is this boss repeatable?
Should have named the heal slime Hoolie :D
Is it possible to defeat Nokturnus before Mortamor (in 20 rounds) so you can use him to beat Mortamor and you dont have to fight the main villian at all?
No because you can only fight Nokturnus after beating the game
and MOST players will NEVER have Mercury the Liquid Metal Slime party member join until AFTER you kill the final boss and on the DS version EVERY job all the human ones + Dragon and Liiquid Metal Slime must be all at lv 5 or higher to even ENTER the said bonus dungeon.
On the SNES version every job class needs to be FULLY mastered instead of only lv 5 to enter it.
That skill Nokturnus used before Magic Burst... what was it?
He uses C-c-cold Breath which is a skill you can get by mastering the Dragon Class, and he also uses Wind Sickles, which I believe is a Martial Artist Skill.
Also, how long did it take to get everyone to learn Magic Burst? Must've been hundreds of hours...
(Cries in MKS) HOW DOES HE GOO THAT!?! I'm SUFFERING on Mortamor all a sudden: Nokturnus: (Snaps) And KABOOMLE! He's D E A D. Why.... 😂
MorMartor 😁
What's funny is that the heroes could technically be considered stronger than Nokturnus since they defeated him.
I thought only one Book of Babbles existed in the entire game.
What's better Big Banga or Magic Burst?
Big Banga. It deals less damage but at least it doesn't rob all your MP.
I know this is an old video so I probably won't get a response, but couldn't you have beaten him in one round with duplic hats?
One magic burst cost all your MP you can't dulpicate it lol
i don't get this..
The storyline sais you finished off Mortamor, even tho afterwards nokturnus still kills him? :l
How can all characters learn magic burst?
I believe you master LMS vocation
Is it just me or does Nokturnus seem a LOT stronger during the fight against Mortamor then when your party fights him?
From what I understand, you just fight a sort of spirit version of him in the dream world, but in the fight against Mortamor, he uses his real self, represented by initially appearing as a sort of shade when you encounter him.
It took 109 hours, but I am sure you could shave some time off of that. I took a pretty leisurely pace through the game.
All in a days work.
Nokturnus has a chance of dropping the book when you defeat him. If you defeat him with four thieves in your party, your chances are just about 50/50 of getting the drop.
What book
@@alito1352 the book
@@MayHugger Q_Q
Where you level up to 99??
MKS just outside Mortamor's castle.
海外版あったのね
そりゃもうドラクエは世界中で人気っすよ
se eu fosse hackear este jogo deixaria ele ainda mais dificil e com 78000 de hp ai quero ver vencer em so dois miseros turnos hehehehe! >:)
lol using the strongest attack in the game with everybody is not a humiliating defeat
다크드레암이네 ㅋㅋ
Lol 2 rounds? More like 20
