    In Germany there's a thing called "3. Halbzeit" (3rd half). That means opposing fan groups literally make an appointment to meet and fight each other when the game is over.

    “NYC has 2 teams…” it has nothing to do with that. Manchester has 2, Liverpool has 2, London has 7 in the top league which has 20 teams. It’s nothing to do with what you say, what it really is that ‘we built different’. You couldn’t ever move a team to another city in football. Nobody would support it.

    The biggest and most violent matches are between two teams from the same city. Cities can have many teams in many divisions but usually at least two big teams. Honestly you can’t compare sport in the USA to football in Europe it’s absolutely ingrained into the culture of each country in Europe

    7:13 they're anti-police for several reasons, but it really depends on the region, often it's a protest against police brutality. In alot of repressed countries with oppressive governments for example the football stadium is the only place where people can speak their minds without getting in trouble and it's the only place where they can fight back against police brutality because of their sheer numbers. Alot of governments also try to get rid of ultras by introducing stricter stadium laws and the ultras often riot in response to these new laws. If you wanna know more about this subject react to "why ultras are so important to football" that video answers most of your questions.

      @@onejayp A police/army force is a very sensitive topic in Europe, South America and certain parts of Asia. History has shown that corrupt governements will use a police/army force to subdue the people. America was build by people who wanted to get away from tha tkinda stuff.
      Another thing you have to think about, is that a police/army force is geared towards violence. They have all kinda gear, weapons and permissions that the people over here don't have. This creates a disproportion in the ability to use violence. America closed this gap this by allowing its citizens to carry weapons. In Europe, it is not allowed for citizens to arm themselves. Ultras are our way to close that gap.

I cant speak for the rest of the world but europes relationship with their police is just fine. Last I checked europeans arent destroying their own cities in protest of police killing people unlike in the US. "In Europe, it is not allowed for citizens to arm themselves. What are you talking about? Football firms/ultras have strong roots in the history of European corrupt governments. Ever since the 19th century, more then 200 civil wars have been fought in Europe and many firms/ultras have been founded during these civil wars. For more then 20 years now, I've been traveling across Europe and visited many, many football clubs. Poland, France, Germany, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Sweden, Romania, Turkey, Russia,...There is not a single country in Europe where I haven't visited multiple football clubs. 99% of firms/ultras worldwide are related with politics.

London has about 15 teams, the sheer amount of teams and identities and the threat of the pyramid, relegation, promotion, it’s a religion, a way of life. I support a team in the 3rd tier, and we travelled 5 hours on a Tuesday night last night, 5000 of us. 3 leagues below the premier league. It’s a passion that can’t be matched

    In many European countries you have two or more political parties, and you have people who do not want to submit to either side, they see themselves as free and do not need anyone to teach them how to live, they simply try to live their own life and the only thing they can rely on is their sports clubs, whether they win or lose they will always be there.
    On top of all this, the powerful have introduced politics into all of this, that's why there is so much negativity towards the police.

    Example neighboring towns here in Germany, Brunswick, and Hanover, this is a high-risk match. Other combinations are St. Pauli/Rostock, Gladbach/Cologne, Dortmund/Schalke. On matchday, the police is doing their best to keep the blocks as separated as much as possible!

At the time Colombia was a favorite at winning the cup while US has theoretically no chances of exiting the group stage. The Ultras (fanatic suporters of a team) usualy do not try to harm the players of the oposing team but their ultras.

    The story you mentioned about a player that got killed after scoring an own goal, is the story Andres Escobar (Columbia, no relation to the drug lord).
    He scored an own goal for his country in the World Cup against the USA. That goal ended up knocking Columbia out of the tournament. In Columbia a lot of things are controlled by the cartels. And it’s said that a cartel boss had bet a lot of money of Columbia winning (as most people thought they would).. but because of the own goal, he lost a lot of money and hired a hitman to kill Andres Escobar. He was shot dead outside a bar in Columbia. And according to rumors every time the hitman shot Escobar, he shouted “goal”.

    It has nothing to do with the amount of teams that come from a city. The club you support goes down generations from grandpa to dad from dad to son and so forth. You don't just pick one, you go with the one that runs through your family.

Football is an important valve.. we let the animal out 😆😈

    Important thing you are watching Clubs not teams. Clubs in theory doesnt belong to a city, the fans belong tot the club because the club is there. The clubs are not created to serve a city. And World Cup is for countries not Clubs so the best players plays for both a Club and for their country.

    • @onejayp
      @onejayp  Рік тому

      So they take the best players from each club to represent the country when is time to play in the world cup?

    • @jldch26
      @jldch26 Рік тому

      @@onejayp National Teams choose the best players, regardless of where the player may play or his team. Just look at the U.S. National Team at the World Cup, of the 26 players on the roster, only 9 play in the U.S. The rest play in a European country. The winners Argentina, only 1 of their 26 players play in Argentina. 24 play in Europe, 1 plays in the U.S. your club don't matter at the national level, only your skill. Though there will be favorites who will probably always be called up to represent their country, regardless of who or how they play.

    This is European ultras hooligans not UK. The UK is much more like the MLS nowadays. Even the most fierce rivalry in the UK between Millwall West Ham Celtic Rangers do not even compare to a non rival in Germany or Poland. Europeans are built differently, we are spartan warriors 👊🏻
