I'm 100% sure the atmosphere in a college basketball game is a million times better than a NBA game. College basketball teams, like european basketball teams, have history and have always been tied to the one university they are from. This cultivates a much more loyal fanbase. NBA teams can up and leave if they feel like it, can't create any deep bonds or history with your club.

Great reaction and yes, its a lot about culture. I was two weeks back and the signing and banter between fan groups was insane, but its mostly one group that tries to pump up the rest. For example.. if we do some choreo, it starts on one tribune where almost everyone is on it and signs it like 3 to 4 times as a "whole stadium..." and what we want them to do.. if its to sign, put your arms up, jump, hold shoulder to shoulder etc. Its great fun and 2 hours game feels like 20 minutes. And yes.. this goes on for the whole game..they may be few minutes where its calm, but its mostly the pauses between songs, chants, choreos, and stuff. Also.. when it comes to football, at least our club is on it with huge banners that cover whole tribune for example.. its crazy that we cant se shit for several minutes and still jump and sign undeneath a huge banner. Great experience.. if you ever will be in europe, I would recommend you to visit several games. Just be safe. Im going with ultras cause I wanna hear them, do the dances and so on..but if you wanna to just enjoy the show, most of the stadiums do have a family section where they mostly respect it if you dont join in or sit down for the whole game.. but they may still chant something towards you if its a lot of people siting down. Btw.. when I bought my last tickets for my gf, the note from the seller was "Its not right in the club zone, so.. its close but you may be allowed to sit down" Something like it. Beautiful.

I am from Greece. I remember first time I watched NBA games on TV. Imagine how astonished I was, when I heard the fans "defense - defense - "!! I thought, wow this is some elite basketball fandom! (The songs of our fans about the opponent are mostly riddled with adult (dirty) language) 🙂
Europe fans really support the team they are with .. They not only go to matches but are often involved in several ways. And in the US, people are afraid of being sued .. That does not happen in Europe. 😀 Greetings from Europe.
A fan in Greece died today before the match Aek vs Dinamo Zagreb from stab wounds and game was never played. Many injured with life threatning injuries and many hiding still from police in a country 1000km from home. My son wants me to take him to this game when Dinamo plays home game against AEK. Somehow Im not too sure about Greek fans not retaliating.
Alot of the stuff that is seen as mundane in europe would get you ejected from the stands in the us no cap. Reminds me of when Jokic was asked aboit the playoffs crowd in the NBA and if he was nervous, and all he could say was "I played in Serbia brother" Fyi the red team fans jumping like crazy that is the belgrade partizans a serbian team. Serbian/balkan fans on general are known to be extra wild by european standards, by american standards it must seem like the forshadowing of the apocolypse.
Red Star Belgrade, not Partizan. Red Star colours are red and white vertical stripes, and the team is known as 'red-whites'. Partizan's colours are black and white vertical stripes, and their teams are known as 'black-whites'. Making this kind of error can get you in a life threatening situation here in Serbia.
In Europe if you're at a sport event (basket, volley, football, ice hockey,..) it's automatic, it's almost genetical that you take part in chants,.. to support your club. It's all about FAITH. Yes, we're odd 😀
Americans only have Civil War where they fighting each other. Europeans were fighting among themselves for 2 millennia. So there's the difference why they're so crazy. Same thing about sport. For Americans, it's sporting event. For Europeans (maybe the rest of the world as well), it's a war. You know what I mean?
"We winning already, Europe ain't got nothing on us... Gimme my money." Awww, that's cute. But just you wait. I think you would be surprised how many people get arrested because of the violence that breaks out after some matches.
The difference between usa and europe is passion for the sport and the team , you can make vids about usa vs africa or usa vs south american countries and still usa atmosphere would be way worse than the opponents
I think the difference is that in Europe....If you support Barcelona, you support basketball, football. You support the city and the club. For a large part of the population this is not entertainment.
See bro , in the US sport is family - entertainment . In EU , its war. It has a lot of to do with the fact , that clubs cant move (there r some rarely exceptions ) and they r not a franchise . Clubs started most times in late 19th century or early 20th , like 1905 or something. And if u a fan of a club , ull be almost ur whole life. In some citys u have 2 clubs , lets say in Greece/Athens , u have "Athinaikos Athen" and "AEK Athen" . Ur dad takes u to AEK , and u most likley stay with that club ur whole life. There is no way u become a Athinaikos- fan , and if they play against eachother , its fking war. Has a lot of to with the history of EU , when we all has been tribes . Instead of killing , they started competition in all different ways of fighting . And sport is the modern way of this ish , over here. Thats why u found so many fanatics in sports in Europe , and fking hell , i love it :)
This madness is history. Clubs in Europe represent the history of a city or the history of a neighborhood. A fan may not be from that place, but they identify with that history and that club. When two clubs face each other, these are the stories that are there, it's our cultures, it's our people. It doesn't matter the sport, it only matters the club. At the end of the game, if the police are not present, a confrontation between supporters is inevitable.
Good observations. Football is passion (another great British invention along with the internet t.v. parliamentary democracy... etc) Love all these fans

I did this for over 25 years ... now I'm getting to old for this shit? LOVE to see it! *_*
As a South American i going full with the Europeans,we have the same idea with how to suport, put a American team in São Paulo,Montevideo or Buenos Aires in front a 40 or 50K rival fans with a 10K of ultras, they can probably run crying wish the mom
American fans = little kids
EUROPEAN FANS = LEVEL GOD
This is Not Sparta, this is Europe
This is what we Europeans call home court advantage.
For us, going to support our team means being part of the game, singing to try and motivate the team to win. It is not only a day out to watch sport
Now you understand why european players playing in NBA are so calm...
that's called home advantage.
😀 Greetings from Europe.
imagine american talent with european crowds
A fan in Greece died today before the match Aek vs Dinamo Zagreb from stab wounds and game was never played. Many injured with life threatning injuries and many hiding still from police in a country 1000km from home. My son wants me to take him to this game when Dinamo plays home game against AEK. Somehow Im not too sure about Greek fans not retaliating.
americans fans have passion to their club, we have passion to our country and history
Alot of the stuff that is seen as mundane in europe would get you ejected from the stands in the us no cap. Reminds me of when Jokic was asked aboit the playoffs crowd in the NBA and if he was nervous, and all he could say was "I played in Serbia brother"
Fyi the red team fans jumping like crazy that is the belgrade partizans a serbian team.
Respect American Brother! An huge from Europe!
changed your mind real fast after the first minute haha
Aris Thessaloniki fans will always have my respect how devoted they are
5:50 that's EXCATLY what a sports event looks like here in europe. 👍🏻
Ever been to a table tennis tournament?
@@dan_kay no 😂
Europe have passion for the club
500 years of culture vs 5000 years of culture
Bro in Europe basketball is like soccer.
First 20 Seconds every European: "Why tf is this guy hyped?" 😂
every american sport fan gangsta until europeans join the chat
U.S.A fans is supporting the Game. European fans are supporting there Team's
In Europe if you're at a sport event (basket, volley, football, ice hockey,..) it's automatic, it's almost genetical that you take part in chants,.. to support your club. It's all about FAITH. Yes, we're odd 😀
6:41 it is the red star Belgrade Serbia
❤️🤍
"They acting like they fight outside the arena if something bad happens"" yes bro... that's literally exactly what they do 😂😂
When it comes to their sports, Americans are Customers first, fans second.
POV:
- US: "Sport is a about business"
- EU: "Sport is about passion"
That's Greek basket 🏀 😂😂😂
The same happened at foodball stadium 😅😅😅
You killed me with the jumps bro.... 5 jumps max only? 😳🤣🤣🤣 Bro, If Europe needs the help of the states again, We fucked this time 😂
8:46 They do fight outside the arena, somethimes they even kill each other. look up boca x river / partizan x red star
in 1990 a game between red star and dinamo zagreb ended up in a riot a player even assaulted a cop
Poland and greece are nuts for basket
Americans only have Civil War where they fighting each other. Europeans were fighting among themselves for 2 millennia. So there's the difference why they're so crazy.
Same thing about sport. For Americans, it's sporting event. For Europeans (maybe the rest of the world as well), it's a war. You know what I mean?
In Europe we replaced war with sports, LMFAO.
"We winning already, Europe ain't got nothing on us... Gimme my money."
Awww, that's cute. But just you wait. I think you would be surprised how many people get arrested because of the violence that breaks out after some matches.
The difference between usa and europe is passion for the sport and the team , you can make vids about usa vs africa or usa vs south american countries and still usa atmosphere would be way worse than the opponents
yes us greeks love our clubs haha
Without us sports wouldn’t be the same
Man this is a sport event. In America you going to watch a show in Europe we want to support our team, region, country.. we call it passion 👌🏻😁
In America, sport is business. There is passion in Europe. That's the difference.
I think the difference is that in Europe....If you support Barcelona, you support basketball, football. You support the city and the club. For a large part of the population this is not entertainment.
Honest reaction man and good points you made there. Some rules are necessary, too many rules destroy the real fun
its amazing what you can let people do in sports events when its a given that people arent carrying weapons
We Europeans are not fat so we need a gun because of our insecurities, our weapons are our bodys ,our fist !!!
@@morde2758 I think you meant "we dont need a gun" right?
LOL they do in fact fight often outside the arena and on the streets being a ultra is no joke.
American sports: Profit.
European sports: Passion.
4:10 that doesn't look like a damn ritual, that IS a damn ritual
Thats what jokic meant when he said he played in serbia. When they asked him about the negativ Crowed at a nba game
First time I have seen one of your videos and man you had me in stitches saying you Americans only have five jumps in you 🤣
Best intro ever top reactions 🤣🤣🤣
We live free here bro, anericans are caged...with all respect nice vid 💪
5:51 no, this is exactly how a sporting even looks like everywhere outside the US
See bro , in the US sport is family - entertainment .
Germany Football Fans are Crazy
Most of the fans in those europe videos are younger dudes, American sports are def more family friendly
The whole arena is filled up with fans.
Football is passion (another great British invention along with the internet t.v. parliamentary democracy... etc) Love all these fans
if you are in the middle of the crowd, pray to god that they don't think you are a rival fan.
