  • During some of our conversations with customers looking for technical support for their Husqvarna Automower we will often suggest doing a resistance test on the low voltage cable while it is plugged into the charging station. This means removing the front cover of the charging station and unplugging the charging station wiring harness from the charging station circuit board so that you can measure resistance all the way through the low voltage cable, the plug on the back of the charging station, and through the red and the black wire inside the charging station. We suggest this because
    1) It makes testing the low voltage cable easier since you don't need anything to insert into the charging station end of the low voltage cable in order for your meter probes to make contact with the wire ends.
    2) It allows you to test these components in their natural state of use. This is a good way to find damage with your charging station plug, or corrosion you might not have noticed in the low voltage cable plug.
If there is an issue with high resistance or no continuity in one or both of the wires you can then easily do a resistance test on the red wire and black wire in the charging station harness. If they both pass then you know the issue is in the low voltage cable and it should be replaced.
    This process can be used for Husqvarna Automower models 310, 315, 315X, 415X, 430X, 430XH, 435X, 450XH, 450XH, 450X EPOS, 450XH EPOS, 520, 520H, 535AWD, 550, 550H, 550 EPOS, 550H EPOS, and others.

Thanks again, your simple to follow advice has helped me test and diagnose a low signal problem experienced on a Honda Miimo and was able to find a loose fitting on the board and now back to Max strength. Not sure I would have attempted this had you not posted this how to. Great job 😊

How much power should the motherboard be allowing to go through to the back of the charging station?
