Shouldn't the transformer voltage be measured under load? In the example of the wrong transformer I would assume that it's output voltage will drop when it's under load (when the mower is in the docking station and charging.) Another thing puzzling me is how they deal with the power consumption of the electronics in the mower. I have a 405X that has a 1300mA power adapter. The reading of the current says it's only charging with 1016mA. I put an amp meter between the wire to one of the charging contacts and it gave me a reading of 1279mA. So the adapter got replaced, the charger pcb got replaced and now the battery got replaced. The problem is still there. (The charging contacts on both mower and charging station are cleaned) I assume the problem is in the mower as that's giving a reading of -230mA battery current at standstill. So, 1016mA + 230mA = 1246mA which is close to what I was reading with my meter. There is just no one who can tell me what current I should expect on a 405X when idling. I noticed in one of your video's that the smaller models (likely without communication and gps module draw around 90 - 130mA). Maybe the current draw of the electronics is already compensated for by the software? The charging wires go directly to the battery, so the current is measured by a pcb that is part of the battery and is transferred digitally to the main board over canbus.

I don’t have any error messages. Charging station board was replaced last month. Mower seems to be struggling to find the station and I’ve observed it climbing all over the thing without docking. All wire voltages seem ok but I do have about 3.5ohms in both loop and guide wires. I know for sure I have some joins in both wires were they have been damaged in the last. Installation is 6+ years old. What should I’d do please?

Can you put something between your base and the ground to keep mud from sticking to it so when you bring it in for the winter you won’t have to scrap the mud off or have dirt in your storage place.

315x Charging station 28V. Put mower in charger I hear 2 chirping sounds. Pull mower out a little to test mower contacts. I still get 28v on mower. Screen says "Mower Blocked 5 min count down. Gets to 3 mins says" mower shutting down" screen goes dead. Bought mower as second owner. However, it has never been used. Appreciate any help!

I bought a Luba 2 and Orion X7 Plus and tested them side by side this summer 2024. The Luba 2 software is more refined by early September 2024, opposite what I thought I would see. The Luba has a much more robust satellite RTK system. The Orion X7 lost signal more often and easily. I have a plush / thick lawn of Kentucky Bluegrass mowed at 3" in height. The Orion X7 would not mow well leaving uncut blades all over the lawn. I tried all mower speed settings and mow width settings with poor results. The Luba 2 cut much better. I contacted customer support before purchasing the Orion X7 with several questions on the mower's abilities. They basically lied about how close the mower will mow against edging and walls. After collisions with walls, falling off the street curb, customer service told me not to program closer than 6" to any boundary. Where is their advertised centimeter level accuracy? The Orion leaves strips of un-cut grass between zones. Customer service said that was a known issue. The Orion does turn sharper than the Luba 2. I do not think the Orion X7 is ready for purchase yet. The claim to have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, but they will not honor that.

This video helped me, and i replaced the Charging Plate Cable Assembly and Charging Link Wiring Assembly (new blue and brown version), but it only lasted 13 months. Now the Charging Link Wiring Assembly is blistered again 🫤. This time it looks like the other end of the connector fused to the board as well. 2017 450x.

Thanks for great info. I changed my pcb card on my 435x base. Now it goes out to mow and goes away out past boundary wire hits the fence and stops and just sits there. No loop signal. I have a green light. I have 33v on loop and 14 on guide. 4.5 ohms on complete circuit and 3.9 on guide. I have relearned the loop with no problems. Don’t know what its problem is.

Automower 420 series here. It says my F signal "NO" and my N sensor "YES" when I check Tools>Test>Charging Station on my robot lawnmower. My lawnmower basically finds the charge station with the guide wire but then fails to dock nearly always and that must be because of the lack of F signal? I have pulled the connector for the F and N antenna wires out of the motherboard and then it flashes RED. There is no visible damage at least to any of the cables or the connector itself. When I plug it back in, the flashing red stops so that suggests to me the motherboard must be working and there must be an issue with the F and N wiring loom? Can't think of anything else I can try other than having to buy a new base plate which has a new loom attached to it because I can't find anywhere online that sells just the antenna wiring loom. Any help would be great. Oh and forgot to say that when I use my robot lawnmower outside of the charging sensor and test the sensors the further I take the robot away from the charging station the F and N numbers start to get towards 0 which again makes me think it must be the charging station itself that has an issue? Great video. I wonder does this apply to an error I keep getting on my 405x; "Charging System Error"? The mower parks, starts charging and then this error pops up. Turning on and off the mower will get it going again, but you have to do that at the mower for every charging cycle and then manually start the next cutting cycle. Pretty heart breaking! Terrible service from my local authorised dealer where I got the mower along with a 450x. This error only started to happen after they replaced the charger's board as it just stop one day and I got the dreaded Full Red LED on the charger. But since they replaced the board , this has been happening and no help from them!

Anyone know where to buy this in Sweden. Or the Husqvarna part numbers for all pieces? Thanks

my ooooold 305 is saying no boundry wire, i made a test wire witg 6 feet, and still no signal, and values in test menu is saying 0-2% signal strength, and the rest at 0... mainboard or sensor??

Hi, great touturial…i got one of the older 305, with the 21v power supply.. the station gets 21,6 volts steady, and with boundrywire disconected, the board hummes, make sounds… i measure a fluktuatin voltage to the boundrywires(disconected) going from 18 to 22volts, on guide output 3 to 4,5 volts.. Mover charges and the light on station works well, green, blinking and blue…. Do you think it is the board.?

Hi just got mine today so very new to robotic mowers for winter storage is it easy to unhook the charging unit to store as in the video.

I just found this video; it's the same deal. I sent in my 430x for repairs, and it came back with a firmware update. It's been in the 60s at night, but the "temperature restriction" does not go away, and unfortunately, there is no dealer nearby. Do you have any recommendations on what to try? I'm not sure if I should repair or replace it altogether.

Hi Question, The circuitboard on my Automower 310 has recentely been replaced (about 4 weeks ago) now the mower just keeps docking but can't seem to charge, then goes out of the station and tries to reenter. Any clue on what might be wrong? Any help at all would be much appreciated!

Will you test it in narrow passages between houses and simililar situations ? My Mower has problem in places like that

while checking the terminals/wire connections on older models you should also remove the black Fiber washers that are there. as this were also causing issues and Husqvarna stop putting them as they caused resistance between terminals and screws.

Thanks! Do these work with Meyer wire or Extreme Dog Fence? Is there a version of this connect that's in-line? Like wires in from both sides, rather than only in from one side. So the wire can lay flat. Thanks!

Give me a break. Are you seriously saying the robot won’t get into the charge station with even a slight bow in the base? Terrible design if this is true. I think it’s actually an engineering failure. Poor power control and bad software.

Whilst part of the Husqvarna family, I have a McCulloch Rob1000 mower. It was going out and running out of battery. I replaced the battery at the weekend and it has cut once and gone back to the charging station and no longer charges. If I run a test on the charging station it says Current: Not Ok. I have 28V at the charging station and the output to the L&R boundary wires is about 34V. The green light is lit continuously on the charging station. Could this be the loop sensor?

Kinda confused about the animal situation. You say you use the black HD wire virtually all the time. But then you say the pro wire is built to keep animals from eating the wire...implying that they would eat the HD wire? I have a ton of deer and squirrels. That is extremely common in the US. Are they going to eat my wire if I use the HD? If so I would think you'd use the pro wire a lot more...so is that just a non issue? Some clarity around the animal hazards would be most welcome. You have to disassemble the Motor and the gear! The Ball-bearings from the wheel were totale worn and wil destroy the planetary gear, that is a common Problem!

Thank you for the information. I have an old 230 ACX with a glued together base plate. Pulled it apart today and gonna have a go at fixing a corroded section of the antenna. The old ones use different antennas so I'm guessing if I'm going to replace the plate I will also need the board to go with it.
