For warships I save the cargo bay for last, miners I do the mining laser and cargo bay first. Generally speaking I go with defense first before I upgrade the weapons.
Good to see an expert reinforce what I already do. It's nice to learn new things, too, but it's also reassuring to find that I've been doing things in a good way already.
I usually do the thing the type of ship emphasizes. IE, armor for battleships, impulse engines on interceptors and shield gens on explorers, then the big guns. Miners are special for me. If i need warp range then warp engines, if not, then cargo holds followed by mining lasers. Guns are always last for me on miners.
I like to upgrade the most "expensive " component first. Usually thats the big gun. Then the armor. Then either the impulse engines for interceptors, shields for explorers and weapons for battleships. Miners get the drill next. Warp core and cargo hold are always last. I will be changing that up now that i know miners have higher warp range. Thanks!
I always do weapons and shield/armor/impulse engines first for warships. Mining ships, I always do Mining laser and cargo hold. Specialty ships really depend on which one.
For me it depends on the ship, like you said no point in upgrading weapons on a miner. I usually go for warp first on a miner just so I can get to those systems I want to mine at that most people cant get to yet. As for war ships I usually leave the cargo last. War ships have small cargo to begin with and we are not using to mine or even take in large amount of stuff.
I normally start with upgrading Shields/Armor (hull health, etc) first. First defense, then attack. But that's just my style. For miners: first cargo then mininglaser + the rest of the components.
Rev. L40-41 have real challenges getting 4* without a meridian. Assuming your L46 you should be well beyond the initial 4* nodes. Let the little meridians live! :).
Great video Rev! I am ops 39 and I use 2 meridian's (warp 80) and amalg (warp 100) for mining in deep space. My feesha is teir locked until 41, current warp is only 53. My t3 defiant is warp 100, is my work horse if I am not relocating to deep space.
Rev. I have maxed my ships but I find that others have better strength than mine. For example my Bortas is maxed. Others have their Bortas at 5 million or more.
What’s wrong with using meridians? It saves me Tons in mats that I’m saving for Epic ships, and why would i care about “getting smacked off a node?” Overnight set it and forget it, as you have said about horizons in 4* hubs. Merdians get you there Way faster in the 30’s and can start building up 4* as you begin a transition to the 40’s
I would disagree regarding 3 specialty ships the vidar, talios, and mantis. The weapons are the bread and butter of these ships and they have a massive weapons boost. I find that if I upgrade anything else first it doesn't improve what level ships I am able to kill but a single weapons upgrade could move me up from say a 40 to a 41 red for daily grinding. The weapons on those ships have just such high multipliers that the weapons almost always make sense to do first.
Warp range is the first upgrade you should do. As you go deeper into deep space you will be warp range blocked. Which is bs. Higher tier hostiles yield higher tier rewards.
i rather have the difficulty of what ship to upgrade first (and not which components) valdore and cerritos are battling for explorer parts... pilum, defiant and talios battling for interceptor parts.
Amalgam and meridian are the only miners that can get that far in a sustainable way. 3 mats to get. You can’t disco 3 miners every day with a protected cargo of only about 140k - 150k. You need t7 faction miner with warp upgrade just to get to the first 2 systems with grush. Scotty won’t do it.
Hey thanks for the Video, I`m a lvl 27 low spender and I only worked on the Romulan associate so My fed is at -1.6M Klingon at -644k how can I fix that so I can dual Rom/Klingon ?
I would disagree, at lower levels. Early on, warp range is much more important, as you're pushing to get to mission sites, mining nodes, and faction hostiles. Once you have ships that can get to ~Warp 50, you'll be effectively stuck there for a while, so THEN switch focus to hull and weapons first.
Also keep in mind that the crit chance can be different between weapons. Btw I always use Amal/feesha/meri to DS mine at night, always plenty of mines free those times and stays UPC till morning (edit: and getting shot is the risk I take ;) )
A video on the ways scopley rips you off and makes upgrading the ships suck. Optimal level for Talios mantis etc...to get least screwed by scopley upgrade penalty.

Glad to help
I tested long ago that upgrading weapons first gets you more kills.
Miners: Cargo, Drill, Warp
Warships: Weapons, Hull, Shield
Love it! I always do wonder. Glad I was basically on the right track already, especially as I prep to blitz my new Enterprise in the SLB this weekend!

At the time north star was my miner and battle ship
Before watching this video.. I normally upgrade warp 1st then whatever part increases the power the most.

I do the shields and hull first the the biggest gun , then the either warp range or other cannons
Always great advice!
Thanks Rev! This was really helpful!

And that's something I always wonder. Thanks Rev!
You bet!
i upgraded everything lol >.< ty for the video Rev Deuce and LLAP!
Half the time when I'm upgrading a ship its for competing in a leaderboard, so I'll find what parts I can upgrade that cost the most
Raise your hand if you had no idea you could swipe up and down on components..........just me?
My hands are up
As always, excellent video sir

Great video Rev! Must have been a great suggestion from an amazing person! 100% Charisma Efficiency!!
Can never have too much Charisma Efficiency!
Great info! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

LMAO 🤣 Battle Barge up!! 🦾🚢⛴️🛳️
FACTS
Rev. I have maxed my ships but I find that others have better strength than mine. For example my Bortas is maxed. Others have their Bortas at 5 million or more.
Agreed. Hull first. Gotta stay alive in order to shoot lol.
I tend to go defence first, offence after 🤷
for PVP, i upgrade shields and armor first. then weapons
Awesome video as always RD! I'd love a video outlining strategies for ship parts. G4 rare and G5 seem to be mostly pay walled.
„We‘re not going to much about the Sally“, proceeds to talk about the Sally for two minutes. lol 😂

Your vids are amazing! Thank you so much. I learn so fucking much of them❤

I said exactly that in the video lol
I upgrade the cargo bay first on mantis.
@@RevDeuce must have missed it then sorry about that. All I heard was the warp first for specialty ships.
Server 32 says HI Rev.
Hey I play on that server!
We miss you on 32.
Warp range is the first upgrade you should do. As you go deeper into deep space you will be warp range blocked. Which is bs. Higher tier hostiles yield higher tier rewards.
Thank you…Meridians and Amalgams need to be blown up while mining in DS 😂
I will always mine in DS with my Amalgam and Meridian don't care what you say! 😛
Well fine then! *stomps angrily out of the chat*

Short question: can I stack the Cerri and the Defiant Buffs on a single ship?
Yes, you can1
@@RevDeuce Thanks, the blue Sphere still ruined me at 39 despite all buffs on everyone so it can stack, just not enough xD

Why can’t we get reputation points for kills with other factions like we do with FKR?
Holy sh*t that repair bill (bar at the top, not your Pilum, but that too) 😭
yay home ownership!

Armor>impulse>Weapons>Warp>Cargo
I am wondering how to speed up the number of ships at my command without paying huge sums of money.
Speed up in what way?
Get more ships, faster.
1st
Bearded Rev is OP and must be balanced!!
🤔
in the 30's warp range is useless over 80 (except for maybe 39 )
