- Hey @everyone! Apologies for how late this video is coming out, BUT, I have been getting a ton of questions from many players about how to approach faction rep in STFC. Should they dual faction grind after the 10 Million rep lock? Single faction? Are the miners worth building at level 40? The game presents you with limitless options, and limitless is generally not efficient. So lets talk strategies in STFC!

To validate Rev's tact of getting to Commended in Rom, then going for Klingon. You WILL need the muscle of a G4 Faction ship to kill some of the mission bosses. I just tiered my Valdore to L10 and finished the grind on KLN to commended. Finished today and will build the Katinga at my leisure as I have enough faction credits.
PSA - if you are going for these G4 faction ships, SAVE your faction credits, you will need a boat load to buy them! 1320 per BP x 150 = 198K faction credits! Also remember to use your away teams credits to buy BP as well either 3650 or 3850 (already bought my Katinga this morning) each. So try for those big away team credit missions and save them up!
I instantly got a vorta and took it to t3. I 100% dont regret it. It made my life so much easier. Yes I didnt get the Valdore as soon as I got to 42 but thats ok. The miner helps my day to day play way more than a bigger warship im going to want to avoid using due to expensive upkeep.
Thank you! This was the video I was looking for when you released your previous video on faction rep. It still feels like a big choice looms ahead. Right now, I am ops 39, tri-locked, so it is just biding time and slowly working through the ops 39 camping checklist. At some point, I have to pick the factions for the 40s, and start pushing ahead. I look at the highest f2p and wonder how much more is left to keep playing for the future, versus just having fun now, even if it is not efficient.
Anyway, I will be watching this video several times and thinking about that next step.
There are so many advantages to being at 40 over 39…. The 96 days alone in disco speed ups is worth it or the ability to stockpile G4 Matts for the jump to 42/43 yes the events are slightly harder and SLB brackets are painful 😣 but the ress I get at 40 make it absolutely better than 39
i got abit of a shock when i moved from 39-40 yes your right about the good things you can stockpile early. but the lack of the 3* resources from events is a big prob;em as the refinery doesn't pay out very well. so if you still got research, ships or buildings that require 3* they can fall behind if you go into 40's to soon
I agree, not sure how you save up the 40k uncommon 4* ore needed for OP42 if you camp at 39, so I went to op41 pretty much as fast as possible to gather the materials needed for 42, which is my next goal to get a lvl 42 ship. Being 41 also allows me to start using AT credits for BPs, but I think the BPs will be far faster than getting the shipyard.

@@nsanerydah I haven’t noticed a large drop in G3 some of the events sure but if u have a T6 epic and especially if u can kill a few capital traders ur fine also having a jelly that can reach Deep Space from regular space also helps
I started the game dual faction grinding and am continuing that as I push to 1 bil. I think it is a more solid strategy if a player is not jumping levels quickly
What Rev did not cover is the important of the research for faction rep (in fact some research requires some of these rep researches in order to progress). I kinda did my own thing. I locked each rep 1 at a time to 10 million as I found the dual strategy slow and complicated because of re management. I locked my first a little early for my level but I recovered. Another complication in rep is that timing your growth. I didn’t manage mine the first time for each tier. I’m now at 1.14B Rom rep which is too high for my level again. No worries… just going to use the same strategy to lock the other 2 factions at a billion because I didn’t use the research until my first triple lock. Now I’m going to increase the researches for whatever faction I’m going for next. I went Rom for the first billion because of the Valdore and Pilum. Heck I kinda like all the Rom upper ships. I’m likely to go Fed for the next at it’s harder because if all the credits you have to burn on officers promotions and because I can source a Ktinga through hostile grinding Klingon space which will up my Fed significantly and my Rom minorly especially if I use non Rom ships to grind. For you newer players out there just have fun and don’t stress about it. I also think older players should remember it’s just a game. Live long and prosper 🖖
I enjoyed the video. I did what you did and focused on Romulan rep only. Your logic about getting the Valdore makes sense to me. I'm staying single faction till I get to a billion. I want the Pilum next. The one thing I don't understand is, why you're going after 2 uncommon and 2 rare 4 star, ships. The time and cost for one of each is unbelievable, let alone, 2 of each.
To me, the first 4* miner is a good value if you don't tier it up. It's fairly cheap to build and, even at tier 1, it has enough warp range to do sufficient deep space mining to achieve dailies. You can get that range with a Meridian or 3* faction miner, but have to tier them way up to do it. Since I'm mostly ftp, I've left my faction miners at tier 1 or 2.
I agree with this, Rev was saying that it was bad to tier it up to tier 5 in the low 40's. Well yeah, no kidding. So don't do that. A T1 or even T2 or T3 4* miner is pretty cheap and its very nice to be able to just send that out for the mining daily without having to use a disco or moving your station.
On my server I needed that 4* miner. I got it tier up a bit so I can get to the next level of systems, cause the low level ones are full all the time. I also got the skin for the B'Chor and it's great for mining gas also. Which will be helpful once I lock Klingon at 1B. You get more use from miners then you do fraction ships. I will go through three different 4* fraction ships, but will have the same miner.
I think Ops 43 could be a better camping spot than 42. At 43 you can do the next research for extra warp range for all ships and extra 25 range for disco plus a lot of other good researches. Definitely need a max Disco in the early 40s for G4 mining to summon and warp range plus the speed ups in the refinery. I'm currently 42 almost 43 and duel grinding Fed/Rom, Ty Gokor makes this pair the easiest option.

can you ask the developeres to show us warp range even when the ship can get there? that would be awesome quality of life improvement
I am ops 41, hoping to go ops 42 very soon. I Rom and Fed dual to Commended. I have the BP's for the Valdor ready, I went against Rev's advice and got the USS Hydra. The reason for that is at Tier 3, which is not very expensive, it can reach further in to DS than a G3 miner, mine just as fast and get 100k protected cargo which is all that is needed. This allows me to invest G3 mats in to maxing researches for events and also Uncommon G3 ships for scrapping.
@@adambrady8236 As Rev says, everyone needs to find a way that works best for them, there have only been two occasions where I did the opposite of what he said where I felt for me it would more beneficial and I definetly noticed an immediate benefit on those two occasions :)
@@adambrady8236 Oh right, well, I can't pass judgement on progression advice as I never tried to implement any of it. Ops progression is one of the areas of the game where I just try to push through as fast as possible, regardless of whether or not it's a good idea and then come back later to do catch-up researches and buildings lol

Rev, I did go back a watch your camping at lvl 39. I appreciated the comparisons between you and UltimateDJ. I have reached many of those recommendations. Still need more efficiency and pure researches. Again, shout out for your help. Also, I am tri-faction locked. Leaning toward Fed first....
i am ops 41 now and hopefully can go to 42 next month and will shoot for the valdore whenever i can. granted, i have a level 25 iss jellyfish as my tygokor grinder and i can get around 1.2M rom rep (thanks to research) without an exocomp.
i agree, the sourcing for the 42 ships aint no bueno - but keep in mind - and maybe @revdeuce didnt know either - the level 42 ships show up in the away team store, if you hit 100M rep with that faction. so you can start to grab shards early for free (if you have kirk and nero leveled up in traits high enough for the crit success) long before you hit the 140M rep and safe yourself a good amount of faction credits (or real money) when it comes to gettin the 42 shards.
It’s a rough grind to the 42 ships…..I’ll definitely be able to afford a ship b4 my rep lets me buy it
I absolutely followed your camping at 39 advise. I just hit the ops 40 builds button and am waiting a couple more weeks until I finish ... I would love the camping at 42 video advice
Currently dual fac heading for the second lock and it’s definitely been interesting. Was able to unlock commended just as I hit enough creds for the valdore so its been solid for me so far. I think if you’re a spender it may be quicker to blast through one but im happy with how things have gone. My original plan was to build a bchor then a pilum
Current plan is valdore then korinar. Looking to leverage the jellyfish brawl event and have kept my iss at t3 to focus on higher ops and the valdore (which is actually significantly cheaper to make stronger than the iss though much costlier to repair). Only issue will be the uncommon explorer parts crunch but by the time im op46 ill have had time to max scrap more mayflowers. The extra credits from dual fac has been great though im already well over a third of the way to the korinar.
Definitely would like to see a video on next camping spot after 39. I just got to Lvl 43 and am dual faction grinding Fed and Rom towards 1B (very slow process, currently at about 430M each) so Im wondering if I should stop here for a while.

Delta quadrant mines let you do 4* pre-38 now. I was mining 4* from ops 35, you just need the warp range and the faction miners can do it, especially with Ghrush.

Really helpful video!! Right now I am grinding to unlock Klingon faction, having locked in Romulan and Federation, however I have archived so many klingon missions because the strength of my ships 🤣
Great video as always, Rev. I am camping at 39, but do have a maxed Disco and the summoning research, plus Ghrush at level15, so I can easily reach warp 75, anyway. I plan on pushing my Romulan rep to unlock the Valdore, as I want to move into that next tier of gameplay, and then will catch up with my second faction. Still a ways out, as I have a few more goals to hit before I make the jump to 40, namely, upgrading my epic ships.
@@adambrady8236 My Augur and D4 are both T6. I'm trying to bump them up a bit more before I hit 40.
My strategy was to dual grind fed and rom to 1B, now at 0.926 and 0.935. my logic was that it was gonna take me forever from 42 to get to 46 and then even to 49 so I just took it easy and dual function all the way. I did get the faction miners and I did get both of the uncommon, which later on I realised it was a mistake because exactly at that point when I was level 4344 the 4G economy got boosted, we started to see a lot more resources and materials. So i left the uncoomns both at tier 5. What I had calculated to be a very slow slog to 49 became a much faster walk to 46. I would learn my lesson I did not build a Newton. Yes perhaps I could build it in the future could I simply save the credits to be able to get the enterprise because why not. My next target is to reach 49 to keep pumping my Pillum to keep saving Romulan credits for the Corvus and try my luck at sourcing the 4g epic without spending credits. Also since I’m about to hit dual lock, I probably have to think if I want to go triple lock and how to best go about it.
I’m 44 and I’ll have Fed locked at 1b in a day or two. Just 17m points to go. I did start out trying to dual grind there but it is too painful. Now I’ll finally be able to work on Klingon researches as I dual grind Rom and Klingon. I do recommend getting one 4* faction miner. I have the Hydra with the ore skin and it does all my 4* mining way faster that 3* ships. At 42 tier 5 your warp range should be 125 with enhanced warp cores which does make a difference on crowded older servers. I also have a Kelvin and Valdore but i do collect ships so the cost isn’t as important to me as having all the toys.
I've been thinking about this a good bit while I'm at ops 38. I will be camping at 39 till have research caught up and Jelly built. I won't move past 10 mil lock till I have a Jelly to do the dailies, and have the ability to mine the 4 stars in DS, and max disco with max warp range research. I have 10 mil + of 4* Raw Gas and 4* Raw Crystal because of the territories that my alliance held over the past 2 years to build a bank where I can start pulling at 39 to build up the commons. We are planning on swapping territories to one that will have ore so we don't have to vacation in other alliances. I will go Rom/Fed beyond 30 mil. Then I will go to 40+ whenever everything else is done. Will go to 41 when I have the resources to make it there. Start pulling bps for Valdore for ATA then grind to 42 and build the ship.
GravityChallenged56 here, sense I started the game over a year ago I have gone one reputation which is fed. I did not do any research or watch videos on the game before I started. In most games the ability to duel faction has a weakness in that your power can be spread out and in some games you have a advantage to being loyal to one faction. In over a year of playing I know most have grinded out a lock in all three factions. My advantage in over the year I have played is that I don’t grind as hard as other players. Yes I do my daily’s, yes I go to tygokor to get some speed ups and xp. But I never would have been able to get my kelvin if I had tri locked. I don’t have the attention span to grind that many ships per day. As soon as new warp range is reached I smash out the new faction quests and keep a steady pace on daily’s. 30 million rep from newton blue prints!
Currently I'm Ops 41 followed Rev's camping at 39 strategy which worked really well for me. Going to Ops 42 for the next arc, I have Valdore BP's and materials ready to take shipyard to 42. My Rom rep is 400M and I might as well go for the 1B lock then I will focus on Klingons. All my research is completed for my ops level. My outlaw is maxed my disco is maxed so can summon my mining ships to deep space. My Jelly is T6 so looking forward to the Ops 42/43 camping video Rev.
Soft camp at 39 to get efficiency research done and good power in at least 1 epic ship. Camp camp at 41 to get everything set up to build the uncommon 4* ship. Just for the discovery refinery speed ups alone it's worth hitting 40 and if u hit 40 might as well sit at the 42 pay wall and build up
With the meridian and the ugly you can skip the ops 40+ faction miners. And save the faction credits for your 42 ops warships.
Thks 4 the heads up Rev Im a lvl24 dual faction lock with 27mil rep w Klingons there is no way I can kill 40 41s due to warp range limitations with the ships I currently have and no way to mine 4* I would be SOL.
My plan is to tri faction lock and work on my 4star ships, it's going to be quite a grind but worth it. Didn't plan to go to ops41 but did it anyway due to a domination event and being completely stoned 😂

4. I’m a slow grower. I seem to have an advantage over Rev either because I’m using Ty Go’Kor or because I am not managing 75 accounts. 😂😂😂 Therefore, I recommend you dual faction, keep them level, and get to the rep you need to build the ship you want by the time you’re in a position to build the ship (shipyard, 4* research etc.).
I'm a level 50 with rom and fed locked at 1 bil and klingon at 200 mil did each separately for same reason as you I'm camping at 50 till I can get all my 4 star done and build a stockpile of 5 star parts and mats.the pilum is an awesome ship allowing me to take on the hostiles in the new faction space and they give amazing rep

Was double faction since start of the game. But before my lvl 40 it was fed and klingon) After lvl 40 (i'm 41 now) i've switched to rom and klingon. Got a "commended" (first stage 140 M) for both factions a few week ago. Right now working on my rep and ops 42 (and buying ktinga bps in ATA store). Agreed with words about G4 miners. I think if in G3 we first got a G3 warships (on lvl 28) and only after that we got the miners on lvl 30, so in G4 we can do the same. Really my antares and kvort have a decent protected cargo and mining speed, disco helping with summoning) No need in G4 miner especially if no efficiency researches for G4 ships.
p.s. your video about camping on lvl 39 helped me a lot, so i will wait a video about camping on 42/43)
So I'm curious if this leads into the similar conversation with getting a ship and which ones to skip. At lvl 39 the idea of whether to skip the lvl 42 ships and ride your Jellyfish to your lvl 46 ships or rush to get the 42's. If you got the 42 ship of your choice and got it strong enough to get to the lvl 50 hostiles do you skip the rare and possibly even the epic and go for the 1st 5G ship in your faction? I myself have a tier 6 Kelvin and can easily do all the things I need to do for my dailies and other shooting of all the pixels, not quite sure what adding the Newton or the Enterprise-A does to improve that.
I am following the L39 camping strategies. I am dual faction grinding Feds and Roma as I will be L39 for a long time.
@@adambrady8236 my primary warships (Enty, Auger, D4) are T4 and don’t have the warp range yet for the deep space hostiles. So I was planning to wait to get those ships increased and efficiency researches are caught up
I did not follow your and DJ advice on everything (did the things that made sense to me, research and strong epic), but went to ops 40 at the start of the year and I am now ops 42. I have not had much trouble with dailies as I had a tier 8 augur and the proper TC 4* material.
T5 faction miner + max warp research you get at 42~44 = Warp 140.
With Grush and Scotty you can make this warp 160.
So you have quite a good reach into the high-end nodes.
So, until I hit Ops38, you can't get past Celebrated (unless you're a super-grinder), because you can't get to Lv41 faction hostiles or 4* mats (without territories)?

Lv 43. Hit 1b rom lock by lv 41. Been grinding for the pilum since. Dual grinding klingon and fed now. Once I get the last 100 pilum bp, I'll jump for 46. Until then slowly upgrading.
I did get 1b romulan first, now working on klingon, I can do about 2-3 million rep a day, so I will be commended in the middle of june. So will be able to build a k't'inga. I use the rep exocomp when I get one and concentrate on killing rom ships
The only thing I did differently and worked out good for me, was I did get a g4 faction miner because I found even at T2 it was useful and at that point didn't require any g4 unc. I didn't have enough maxed g3 faction miners so a T2 Vorta helped cover a gap and made swapping miners, etc. easier and cut down on needing to use Franklin or relocate to DS. One key factor was I had enough Rom credits to do it without cutting into my getting a Valdore and being on target for a Pilum. I don't think I would have done it if it would have delayed my faction warships.

Nice video like always,. Sadly before you released your ship ranking video and this one i made decision and start Fed reputation and im at 210M in it. Sadly bc i tought that Kelvin will be worth. Now its bad time for me to change a faction grind so i will continue with single faction grind and will try to get to lock FEDs asap then i will add Klings.
Level 19 and faction locking all 3 before I level up. Fed and Rom are both above 3M right now.
I got to ops 38 recently and been grinding klingon rep only, had the triple lock at 10mil a long time ago. Now at 250mil with klingon and getting about 10mil a week, so not serious grinding but then not rushing to the 40s. All depends on your gameplay
Been dual faction grinding for a long while fed and rom almost commended in fed. Was ops 35 in Jan 2022. Now 41 dilithium vault from 42. I skipped a lot of efficiency research to tier 7 my enterprise hurting a lot now on resources.
Rev: I've watched that, I'm camping at 39. But I really want a better idea of how much 4* mats to prep with... Would like it per level (e.g. mats to go 40-41, 41-42...) I'm assuming I'll have done all relevant station work prior to pulling the trigger.
My strat since getting the tri fac lock at around lvl 30 is really simple and easy. I don't worry about rep at all, but I ensure all dailes are done in Fed and Klingon space so as to push my Rom rep up. Because of this my Rom rep is now 20m and I'm currently camping at 36 for a long time before the push to 39. I expect to hit 30m before I get to ops 39 in which case I will start pushing Klingon rep and try to keep Rom at around the 30m mark.
I'm ftp so I'm sticking to dual, but only really planning on 4* ships from one. Allows me to take advantage of dual faction dailies (kill one hostile get double credit), dual faction daily rep events, but means I only really need to focus on saving faction creds for one faction. The other two factions are mostly pattern farms, with a mild stockpile for promotions. No idea if this is really the best strategy, but it's my path as a ftp lvl 39 :)
I followed your lvl 39 jump video but when I pulled the trigger on upgrading to lvl 40 I had already had fed at 1b. Since then I'm now lvl 41 with Klingon at just under 500 mill which should be at 1 bill shortly after hitting lvl 42. Then I'll finish up with rom. I find it easier and faster with one faction at a time.

HAHA! one more warp engines upgrade and valdore will be able to reach lv50 hostiles 🥳, I'm glorified with romulans 544k to champion. I would love to build tribune, but idk if this is a good idea. My valdore is tier 5, no parts installed yet.
Also, if they don't fix 4* materials rewards, I'm going jelly -> Pilum since I can't afford the gas a Valdore takes.
Did single faction to get 1 bil lock on Romulans so I could start to get Pilum bp in the away teams store etc and now duel grinding the others as I try to level up to 46 to build the Pilum
I got all 3 4* miners at 42 and I got them using faction credits only. I planned that early in my 30s when I pushed factions to 30 mil, got the blueprints and pushed the rep back down again. That was one of the best decisions in the game for me so far. I am 44 now (jumped with the mat spending event in the last days), and I have all three at T3 with warp now (110 range). Most mines are within that range so I don't need them pushed much further and with a mining rate at about 50k/h I can do my dalies in about 2.5 hours.
I would totally recommend getting the 4* miners and just ditch the 3* ones since the 3* mats are needed anyway for scrapping ships. Btw. I buy the 20€ Battlepass only so quite close to a f2p player.
Buying the BP every month is no where near f2p.
I'm 39 camping right now, I've decided I want a K'Tinga the minute I hit 42, so I've been solo grinding Klingon rep for now, but when I hit 140 mil I will probably start dual grinding Roms to work toward the Pilum.

At the end of the last Arc went to ops 40, now I'm at 41, and in the middle of next arc will be 42. Got jelly at tier 3, and Augur at tier 4. Grinding fed reputation in Kronos. Why Kronos? Because I'm getting k'tinga BP there, so not gonna spend any faction credit on ships. I use my credits on officers. From time to time i do grind in Ty'Gokor, depending on the events.
Also getting fast as i can to ops 42-42 because of the efficiency resarch for the materials and ship parts and better iso refinery.

I was triple 10m locked at ops33, maintained all 3 at respected until I was lvl36 or so, then I started pushing fed and rom rep, basically ignoring the mining dailies but doing the combat dailies. Took my rep to low commended by lvl38, at which time I could start doing mining dailies, then started pushing again. Combat dailies were difficult until I hit lvl39, and my jelly could hit capitol traders in Kronos. Am now at high glorified (710m Fed, 730m Rom) at lvl42 and plan to lock both by the end of summer. I still collect Klingon dailies, spend, combat and mining, since the rep hit is insignificant compared to glorified dailies. I should have all 3 locked at 1b by the time I hit lvl46, and I am already at over 200k credits for each faction. Got a Vorta Vor already and plan on getting a Hydra to save on shrooms since my other miners can't reach without summoning.
Following your camp at 39, and have no strategy other than do what I can afford, lol.
Still hoping we get a space to grind Feds without losing rep. Maybe a Section 31 incursion ship. That would help too.

so I just pushed to 30 mil on romulan. my valkis can just get to the independent space with grush and scotty. so its not terrible. the lvl 41s are a bit of work. I can get to deep space lvl 40 systems with my auger. so its doable as well.
can you cann them, allegiance tokens and loyalty badge isntead of photon token as new players won't have a idea of what your talking about. (or are they called that on older servers?)

Hey All, approaching dual faction (fed and klingon) 10 million lock - currently at level 31 - thinking about keeping the dual faction run and getting it to 1 billion instead of locking in the third faction (rom) - mostly because I want to keep on auto griding in rom space....I am hopeful I'll get the k'vort and antares to reach warp range 65+ before I hit 30 million for the 4* requirements. Besides missing out on Auger and Rom officers any other major disadvantages?
How affordable is it to get 2 lv 42 ships? I was dual rom/fed but I switched to just rom since I didn't see myself being able to afford a valdore and a kelvin. I am a dolphin spending wise. I was thinking by the time i could get the credits/stomach paying for kelvin bps I would have my rom lock
I'm duel faction locked at lvl 31 and I did it by single faction grinding. Once you get your 1st faction lock it is much easier to grind out my 2nd. Now I can fly through the 3rd as long as I stay at my current level with my bortas (lower deck crew has amplified this)
100% this ☝ Duel faction grinding is terrible advice, I had all 3 locked by 32.

I followed you and watched many of your vids rev. now that I'm lvl 39 and unlocked deep space. Can you make a video on how to find a hub for my base to use to grind hostiles 42+? My only problem is my epics are stuck at t4 warp 56.
Sadly winding down on stfc grabbing all faction credits can joining all three daily faction spend events have only one faction that is not hovering just over the 10 mi
With my ops at 37 ..today having hsving not even started mining lat approaching dailies reset time. Wish could get alliance members to farm and hunt stuff for me.. heading back to office next week phone will be in locker most of time .push
Hope to remember to shield had para and dil on generators.. para only at 500m and 150 m tri.. dil still on generators won.t loose much ..so much to do not enough time to do it anymore

I am l lvl 45 now but got my rom to 1b by the time I was 42. And got myvaldore. I am dual grinding fed and Klingon trying to get my pilum. I am about to be esteemed. It’s a lot hard to grid with all the new content

It's a really difficult to decide for me when to grind rep up and which faction. G4 mining is atrocious, and it's been getting even much more worse when we merged recently...
i been duel grinding above 10mil ever since i hit level 36-37. now i just hit level 42 and got both fed & Rom at 320mil rep.
As OPS 35, have completed one of the steps recommended, my Discovery is level 45 and research done maxed to level, though refinery yet to give those speed ups ( Are they blocked below certain OPS?)
today it's not gonna be a huge problem to hit celebrated when you're at level 35 (I'll be camping here for the next of few months) since you can mine g4 in Sadell. currently I'm 1.5mil away from celebrated .. hunting lv41 hostiles isn't a problem since my maxed bortas and t4 enterprise can get the job done
