I like the video and subscribed but have some criticism. Your narration is very well done and well researched, but you show multiple highlights that have nothing to do with your current narration in the video. Match the two up and it’ll be great.

NBA Zone Jordan retired after his 6 championship and retired for 3 YEARS. Not 2 years like you said several times
He missed the 99, 00 and 01 season.

That's cute if only he had consistently faced the athletes of today on the perimeter and faced zone concepts where he could consistently get double and triple teamed. He was definitely fortunate to have played for a franchise that surrounded him with great defenders who were selfless offensively and he was also fortunate that all the teams that kept pushing his shit in that actually had championship experience got old and retired. Those teams he faced in the finals were some of the worst teams to ever win the western conference.

@@timerban3646 You think he wasn't consistently double teamed or triple teamed? My dude gets double teamed more than MyPlayer on 2k 😂. 5:33 In that sort of situation I guarantee LeBron would pick the easy way out and pass the ball but MJ has so many creative moves that he can do that all day.
Yeah I agree he was fortunate to be surrounded by 2 great defenders at a time, Pippen and Grant/Rodman. They were never "selfless" offensively though it's just how they play 😂. Read what that guy said “I take what the defense gives me, Mike takes whatever he wants" - Pippen. Basically meant he's an opportunity scorer unlike MJ who CREATES opportunities and scores. "Selfless offensively" means something like an extra passer. Grant was basically a defensive rebounder who was not as good as Rodman. Also keep in mind when Rodman joined Bulls he was like 34 y.o and not as great defensively as during his Detroit years, his rebounds were still insane though.
All things said MJ never relied on them on them to avg 25+ pts or close a game unless he was insanely triple teamed, only then he'd pass the ball. Unlike LeBron who had to have Ray Allen save his ass after he bricked, which he later then got PTSD flashbacks of that moment in Cleveland and handed the ball to Kyrie to close out the game.
When the Bulls had a rematch against the Pistons, they were around the same age as Jordan with Bill Laimbeer being the oldest at 32 or 33 so I have no idea what you're talking about "those guys who had championship experience and beat him before got old and retired". That's just an example of modern media brainwashing right there.
The worst team Bulls faced in the finals were the Lakers with Magic Johnson and it was actually the Bulls' first finals appearance where their team wasn't as complete as the next few years. Other than that they faced great teams in the finals even though they obviously weren't as great as superteam GSW with KD, because in 90's as the Bulls got more experience they BECAME the 90's greatest superteam even though most of their players consisted of defensive players. ua-cam.com/video/zkINY4uBl_A/v-deo.html

The eye test tells you Michael Jordan is the GOAT. But it wasn't because of his above the rim game. It was for so much more. MJ should stand for Medium-Range Jumper. That bread and butter served him so well even when he lost a step. There was no where on the court where he wasn't ruthlessly efficient. His post game was too good to guard. He was arguably the best 2 defender of all time. His vertical leaping ability was unmatched. He used both hands with close to equal proficiency. Real men feared him like no other. They knew they could not beat him. That's part of the eye test that is often overlooked. How the other team looks in the face of MJ.
As stated by David Stern when he gave MJ only his 3rd MVP award, "You are simply the standard to which basketball excellence is measured." That was in 92 before he had even won his 2nd title. That statement in relation to MJ, may never change.

2nd 3-peat MJ wasn't nearly as explosive as 80's/early 90s MJ. And that was CLEARLY evident.
What he was during those seasons, however, was more mentally sharp/methodical.
He learned how to pick spots and carve up defenses with geometrical precision. There was no wasted movement whatsoever.
He only tried to exert his physical prowess in spurts, instead of going all out, all game.

@@natedablack7857 yea pretty obvious decline in athleticism for those who observed his entire career. but his fundamental had never left him all the way til he finally retired. during 96 he was quite a bit slower than 89-93 self, but still probably the top 3 in speed and quickness in the sg position during 96-98. his finesse in layups had declined quite a bit since he started lifting weight. he used to do really crazy shit ( like double/triple clutch jump shot or insane hang-time layups with multiple adjustments in the air) in regular basis up until maybe 91 when he started to bulk up. still from 91-98 he probably had more quality acrobatic layup highlights than lebron will have in his entire career when lebron retires.
but with that said, he was still being able to super explosive in 98 season. one of the examples i still remember is how he blew pass a young allen houston in his last game as a bulls against ny, when there were about 8ft distance between the two of them while jordan was standing still facing a defensive ready houston. he took off to his left and completely drove pass houston like he wasn't even there. i havent seen lebron or kobe being that quick when they were 33. the difference is that jordan was not only able to put his head down following his first step dribbles with his big hand, but he was also moving his feet far better at old age compared to the so-called super stars of today. he was able to go around someone with quickness instead of bulldozing his way into the defender's body.

Nope. I'm talking about how Jordan never played on a winning team without Pippen. If Jordan was so good. How come every season without Pippen, his teams finished under .500. I'm not talking about winning championships without Pippen, I'm talking about finishing .500 or better without Pippen. The bulls won 57 games & th ship n 93' n then Jordan retired. They won 55 games in 94' without him. To me Jordan made good teams great but he couldn't make a decent team good. Take a look at what Lebron did in his first stint in Cleveland. 7 yrs, 6 playoffs, one finals, a 66 win season, a 61 win season, 6 seasons above .500. All while Anderson Verajoa was the second best player on the team. Definitely no Scottie Pippen or even a Phil Jackson. No player before or since has dominated the game of basketball like Wilt Chamberlain. It's not even close. Jordan could never do the things that Wilt Chamberlain did. I always felt like MJ shrugging in that game against Portland was more him mocking people who doubted his ability to shoot the three. Like "I thought I couldn't shoot three's". It fits his personality better than acting like he couldn't believe what he was doing. Just my opinion

Bulls chemistry is just solid at the time 1994 - 1995 is just too smart to fast jordans I. Q that time just advance , houston will give bulls a good fight for the ring in 1995 but its just jordan was too much of a killer, chemistry wise bulls is better 1995 bulls might be better than 1996 bulls if rodman arrived early that year facts just facts

Would say studying the greatest is how you achieve greatness. Remember being inspired to improve and focus on improving my game. Then high school happened and used that focus chasing skirts. Probably where my life took a detour. You can see his influence on nba players today. Took it to the next level.
