Takes a special comedic mind to make refrigerator repair funny. Ive been riding the glassman train for about a week now and everything he does is entertaining. The world needs ur humor Rick. Thanks and keep up the good work
i hope someone with the same fridge problem will search on youtube how to replace the motherboard only to find this video in wich case first he will be disappointed but then everything will make sense and so not only he will fix his fridge but also he will find a new comedian ready to entertain him you just invented a new service FUN INSTRUCTIONS
I hope we get some close up shots of the bad power board. It would be cool to see if we could actually find the problem. Blown fuse, popped cap, burned up mosfet, cracked solder joints, or whatever.
there’s no concern with being shocked by an unused/new part. what can happen, and the purpose of grounding yourself, is that static electricity can be built up and send currents into your electronics making them faulty or fucked altogether. also in terms of hurting yourself with electrical boards is that used ones can keep large amount of electricity in the capacitors for incredibly long periods of time, touching one bare handed can be very harmful. of course these are all rare/somewhat uncommon scenarios but scenarios that should be monitored or made aware of for your sake and the sake of your parts. thanks for the entertainment, rick!!!!!!
FYI if your laptop (PC or Mac) breaks down assuming its a motherboard issue and not a screen issue the repair process is exactly the same as here. First look up its model number on Ebay to find parts, match them exactly, then when you get it open up your laptop and check all the wire connections to the board, undo them, unscrew the board and remove it, put in the new one and screw it in, then re-do all the wire connections. Its harder because the connections can be tiny and you'll need tiny screw drivers and to remember to swap over other stuff like memory or hard-drive (or SSD) if they aren't actually part of the board (some are some aren't) but yeah basically the exact same thing as here.
New fan since your tiger belly appearance this year . And I fucking love tyso . And I am a mechanic and love seeing u fix your own stuff ! See u 2021 near Philly hopefully?

Yea yea, I too would like to see if we popped a cap, or had any burned up mosfets, always seems like a blown fuse at the end of the day don't it tho
