This is a sad, beautiful cover song. Since discovering these incredibly talented, eye candy men, I don't listen to anyone else. I wasn't able to get tickets online for the December 3rd Poway show but I drove all the way there hoping and the sweet young lady at the ticket office said, "I'm so sorry but nobody has cancelled". Since she was so incredibly nice to me, I asked, "Well...can I have your autograph?" She giggled and smiled and asked for my phone number in case of a last minute cancellation which I readily gave her. By doing that, I still had some hope. I drove back to El Cajon and was waiting for a table at the Black Angus and my phone rang and it was that sweet young woman calling me to let me know there were two seats left and she would stay there until I could drive all the way back to Poway. I know I broke a lot of speed limit laws but I was absolutely thrilled that I was able to see them live. It was an awesome show. It was the highlight of my year. I bought all their CD's from Jennika who also autographed my pictures. Heather was outside getting stuff out of the basement of the deisel pusher tour bus (I hugged the bus and gave it a kiss while the security guard was cracking up) and she autographed my photos as well. I have listened to all of their songs at least 100 times each. Home Free is gaining popularity so fast that they are SUPERSTARS to me. I love them all. I thank the Universe for this over the top, talented group of gorgeous men. I can't wait til they come to the San Diego area again.
So if anyone from Home Free looks at this I just want you guys to know something. My daughter was born at 20 weeks on October 4th, 2016... and lived for 2 hours. She was my first child. At 20 weeks her lungs weren't developed enough to live. My wife was diagnosed with Incompetent cervix, a condition where the cervical band isn't developed at birth so my wife couldn't hold our little girl, or any future children till she gets a trans-abdominal cerclage, which we are still trying to save up for. Anyways this little girl was my world guys. And at her funeral I requested that they play your cover of this song. I know the song has a different meaning behind it. But the lyrics matched up so close with what me and my family were going through. And your voices are like that of the angels, and I wanted nothing but the most heavenly voices singing to my daughter. Any ways, I just wanted you guys at Home Free to know on the behalf of my wife, my family, and others, you have helped our family tremendously throughout these dark times. I don't have the best voice but I come to this song and sing along with you guys to my daughter every now and then. My mother always texts me when she starts thinking of her granddaughter and tells me I couldn't have picked a better song. So once again, thank you guys. I love your music, I love your voices. God Bless y'all.
What everyone is watching now with a true leader is exactly what these guys are going through. No one wants the truth anymore. Theses guys are getting shot down and they deserve a lot better than that. Has anyone heard then live? Go to a concert and just listen. You'll understand! They can actually sing!!
@@HomeFreeGuys @@HomeFreeGuys I think you guys would get some good amount of views if you covered a Harry Styles song, and I’ve been trying to decide which one of 3 would be best, but after listening to this song over & over the last day of May 2020, I definitely think it should be “Falling”, but my other choices were “Adore You” (unexpected video if you’ve never seen) or “Sign of the Times” tho it seems numerous people have already covered it, but it would be interesting to see how Adam would create the “noises”!! “Falling” has only a small amount of accompaniment which is why I think it would be perfect for you beautiful men & mebbe Adam could even get a few words sung too (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) where camera ACTUALLY pans in to him when it’s happening!! I’ve listened to you guys so often now that I listen to all music differently, thinking about how Adam could do the required instruments & sounds! You guys look so good in this video, tho I admit that Adam gets more gorgeous when his hair is shorter, like in “Love Me Like That”
The difference between a singer & an artist is that a singer can bring a smile to the listener but an artist can evoke an emotional response... Individually your voices are all beautiful, but together, it's like listening to heaven..You guys are artists who can paint a beautifully colored picture with your voices. Not many can do that. Wish you would play in Florida someday
This is so true, listening to real artists like the Home Free feels like you are willing to put YOUR heart in THEIR hands... because you want to be open to the beautiful thing they are creating...that truly is the essence of an artist.
I appreciate your point ..... but, I do not like the term ARTIST .... for anyone who has a talent to perform and effect, affect indeed move another in beauty of voice and feelings brought about ! And here comes the tears! Good tears though, after losing our 16 year old son 17 months ago, this song is bringing back so many memories! I just wish he was still here to hear you guys! Awesome! Just Awesome!!!
Austin voice in this made me wanna cry, so much emotion in his voice and he would make a good actor too he looked so vulnerable and adorable i just wanted to give him a big hug the whole song.
Loved how the room was becoming bare, the jewellery disappeared along with jackets as you were baring your souls. Beautiful, emotional rendition and made me cry the first time I heard it. Well done guys. Loved it.
I love coming back to this video from time to time and appreciating anew how subtle they were in removing some of the set pieces as the song progresses. Though I always feel bad for Rob losing his glasses at the end (but not too bad--he has gorgeous eyes!)
i lost both parents this year...with the holiday coming up i wish there was one more dinner with laughter and all that stuff and lots of love ... this song makes me think of them.... and wish i could have them again...but life goes on and i will be a great grandma come next march ...thank you for doing songs like this.
Home Free I have never been a huge country fan, never hated it just wasn't my cup of tea. After listening to you guys I can say that you have changed it for me. Your talent level is ridiculous!!! Keep it up and God Bless. Hope to see you in Michigan sometime.
Everytime I here this sing it gives me the chills. Just simply an amazing cover by these guys. You guys are one of the few "country" groups I listen to. I mostly listen to screamo bands. But its nice to listen to you guys and unwind for a hard day of work.
"Home Free's" music is addictive, even when you aren't listening to it, it's in your head. All you want to do is get back to listening some more. It's getting hard to get anything done. Adore these guys.
When I listen to this I can't help but cry. My dad died recently and he loved this song. He said it was the perfect summary of life. I miss him so much....
Kat Goodall i'm so sorry to hear that your dad passed away and even though i didn't know him, i'm sure t hat he was a good manfrom now on, i will dedicate this song to your father
Kat Goodall My father died in a car accident 6 years ago. It was a shock no one was prepared for. I still hear things and see things that bring back memories of him very strongly. The first time I heard this song was just after I lost my sweetheart in a motorcycle accident. He was a proud Marine. I had to pull over and let it all rush over me. You guys really took me there. Great cover.
So sad but beautiful! I'm loving this arrangement. Tim's voice always gives me chills, Chris should go without the hat more often, Austin looks so vulnerable but great hair, Rob without glasses, and Adam sings in this one! You all made us feel the loss in this song. Thank you.
Rebecca Callaghan We think this song resonates so much with people because everybody knows how it feels to want something that you don't have or once had. Thanks for listening.
I had to wait until I stopped crying to type. This was amazing. Haunting and vulnerable. Way to raise the bar. This really spoke to me this morning. Thank you.
This song was perfect for this group. Wow. Keep this up. Goodness gracious, its stuff like this that makes me wish I had a group at my college to sing this arrangement with.
Holy cow. I was so overcome with the emotion of the song I didn't even realize Adam wasn't beatboxing, and then when Chris took off his hat I was blown away. Amazing.
I just love this group. They have such talented voices and lovely personalities to match. I listen constantly whenever I get a chance to do so. Keep it up Home Free.
Speechless! Nothing against Jake but this song belongs to Home Free. Their harmonies are amazing and the emotion that they bring to this song....Wow! I have enjoyed them since seeing them on Sing off and they are all my favorites...but this should be #1 on the radio.
I can't stop listening to this song over and over as I cry. "I wanted the world until my whole world stopped." I know that feeling so well. Mine stopped on August 17th when I was told my husband of 2 years had passed away. 26 and already lost the love of my life. I would trade it all just to have him back.
Beautiful, just beautiful! Home Free, you guys brought new life and fans to the world of a Capella music and this video is a fantastic representation. Any band or group thinking about this genre of music should view this video. Thank you so much for sharing your precious gift. I am a forever fan. AB...you make me wish I was younger!
Any chance we could hear something like this with Adam Rupp singing? Don't get to hear his vocals often enough. Love the beatboxing but he's got a great voice, too!
My favorite part of this video is how the room loses its furnishings and each of you loses something. It's so deep. The simple harmonies really keep you focused on what the song is really talking about. This is your best song and video yet, in my opinion. Keep doing what ya'll do.
Laura B Krizo We agree, Laura. When you're making it you don't really get what the whole picture is. We were blown away by the finished product. Thanks for your support.
I haven't ever found any group of artists that make me just want to stop and listen to the whole song. You completely captivate me. This is beautiful. This is what "real" music is to me and I love it.
it's really at 0:42 that you realize Tim is a natural bass. Can't even say "a" without causing an earthquake. I love you guys, everytime I listen to your covers there's a new element i fall in love with that i didn't appreciate as much before.

I remember listening to the original for the longest time, then this version popped up some time after I discovered this group. And I am glad I clicked on it. You guys are simply the best. I've been around musicians for 54 years, played, sung, and heard every style of music. You guys top them all. The love of the music, love of each other, and love of fans make you the best. See you in Denver (again).
That was just...amazing. The choice of background was also really nice for this sing and combined with your voices, it sent a feeling of loneliness and for me, almost guilt. The plain tees with jeans. Rob without his glasses and Adam singing. I don't know. There just isn't a way to describe that. Amazing guys, just amazing.
Ok, now that I have composed myself again......sort of. Remember when Nick said to sing from the heart? Well, you have done that, no problem. I truly have never had a song make my heart beat so that I was immediately in tears and felt like I couldn't breathe. I am truly stunned.
Their exquisite harmony as a whole, the absolute purity of Tim's and Austin's voices, the raw, unadulterated emotion that they envoke, makes this song a stunning, undeniable masterpiece. True to form, Home Free has once again, touched the very soul of me.
This is one video where both Home Free's video and the original just tear me apart. We were just talking about grief on Sunday, and this song speaks so strongly to those emotions for me. I anticipate if I hear this at the concert Saturday that I'll start crying then too. Better not wear mascara.
I know it’s a few years old, but I still want to tell you all just how much I love your rendition of this poignant song. Thanks for being the special humans you are. I don’t know why it took me so long to find you and your gorgeous music, but I’m really trying to make up for lost time now! ❤
Thank you gentleman for showing the world what true talent is. I am definitely NOT a fan of country, but I can't help but listen to your amazing vocals. God Bless y'all.

TigerDragonGrrl Thanks much.
Agree whole heartedly.
Elizabeth Tang Thanks, Liz. We all appreciate your words.
This cover gives me all the feels.
They deserve more hits.
Almost 2 millions view for this jewel. Thanks guys for touching my soul...
I just... I'm so glad I found you guys. This is so beautiful. YOU are so beautiful, all of you.
KaregoAt We're glad you found us. Thanks.
Tim foust you're my idol.....iam your fance 😍
Ok, now that I have composed myself again......sort of. Remember when Nick said to sing from the heart? Well, you have done that, no problem. I truly have never had a song make my heart beat so that I was immediately in tears and felt like I couldn't breathe. I am truly stunned.
CAROL HERTZLER We are so glad to have touched your heart, Carol. Your kind words touch ours. Thank you.
Tanna Farley Thank you, Tanna. It's a powerful song.
I know it’s a few years old, but I still want to tell you all just how much I love your rendition of this poignant song. Thanks for being the special humans you are. I don’t know why it took me so long to find you and your gorgeous music, but I’m really trying to make up for lost time now! ❤
2:19 that tight harmony is flawless. You guys are flawless.
Aw shucks, thanks!
Beautifully Done!!
I just adore listening to Home Free.
Should Be Americas Band , For our Country.
My opinion ☺❤
You know a cover is good when it sends more chills down your spine than the original!
You all are so great as one yet greater together ❤️
Home Free has taken a Capella to a whole new level.
Thank you gentleman for showing the world what true talent is. I am definitely NOT a fan of country, but I can't help but listen to your amazing vocals. God Bless y'all.
