If you love them, check out Voctave. Home Free is my favorite acapella if I want to hear lower registers. If I want an amazing blend with more in the treble, Voctave is my go-to. Don't like their musical choices quite as well, but wow. Especially their two sopranos just make you want to cry with joy.
WOW 🥺😲 This hit me right in the middle!!! I can feel the love I want and need but it won't come if I'm like I am. Ugh, truth be told!!! Another tear jerker!
Love this song starting with Tim Foust (Bass) followed by Adam Chance (Baritone) There are just not enough bands that have this range of voices - especially in the lower registers - which expands the dynamic range to hit the emotional resonance points really hard! Keep it up. I found Home Free after Avi's announcement of his retirement from Pentatonix. I was mesmerized by Tim Foust's rich bass voice. So rare! Then Country as the basis of their song choices just makes so much sense! A gift to humanity! Keep it up! You touch, move and inspire millions!
Checkout their performances on the Sing Off. Their Harmonies are incredible. If you are a person that likes Christmas songs or Hymns, their versions are amazing. O'Holy Night really shows off Austins amazing voice. It's almost Operatic. It is what got me hooked on them.
Gerhard Kutt They started out pop/soul, moved more into country (3 southerners: Tim/bass/TX, Austin/high tenor/GA, Chance/bass-baritone/AL, Rob/tenor/beard & co-founder Adam Rupp/beatboxer/low tenor are from MN (like co-founder Chris Rupp/baritone-left to go solo, w/band's blessing, in earlier vids/cowboy hat)!..They're all multi-instrumentalists, who love a cappella!!..Incredible, live & hilarious! Check out (& watch their faces): "AMAZINGLY FUNNY MOMENT" & "WHIP/NAE NAE"!!!.....ENJOY!! :)
Annemay Seyfried the Rupps themselves have amazing talent, Adam and Chris have a sister that is amazingly talented. She did a song with Chris and it was great. Always wished they would have recorded something with her. Who knows Chris might come back with her to do a one off song and I truly hope they do it.
Stick0413 I agree..They're all multi-instrumentalists, espec. Chris & Adam play like 5 instruments..Chris's Chl has amazing songs/vids, same as his 7th Ave Band Chl w/his sister Tristin..Creativity cant be held back!..We just sit back& enjoy it all! :)
It still brings tears to my eyes from tkme to time as well, espeically since not only are their songs beautiful and their voices amazing, but it hits hard and i can relate to an extent. It feels hard when people say "youre going to be the same, its in the blood" or when i hear people telling my friends that. Lol this was long sorry but yeah i too cried love their music!
@@reemaayache953 People have said that to me, too. I'm still haunted by the abuse I experienced for many years from my mother, but I do know that I am not like her. But people have told me that children are more like their parents than they think, and I hope that's not the case with me.
Great bass by Adam Chance, he can do it! Nice to hear Tim Foust going to the higher notes again and taking the lead in this song together with Rob "the beard" Lundquist. And again guys great harmonies, it gave me goosebumps. Adam Rupp great drumming as always and Austin Brown taking the backing vocals this time. You guys can mix it up and that's what I love about this group.
Guys, I have not heard anything that moved me like this. Ever. When you come from a home with so much mental illness and sexual abuse, you will always beat yourself up, hoping against hope that the water will wash it away. I am now 68, and the damage done to a 5-year-old doesn't wash away. You pray you could take love in, but the hole is too immense and beyond repair. Thank you for giving me some validation that I am not alone.
The greatest musical group in history! These guys are amazingly talented and this song is one of their best! Our sins can't be washed out with water, but through Jesus, they can be cleansed by His blood!
Love this song. Have not heard this by any other artist. It really resonates with me….cause I have many doubts about myself and am very disjointed with my family. Thanks for signing what I cannot put into words. 😮
If you listen to Chance's first tone without looking at the video you think its still Tim. Then he transitions into the higher register a bit and becomes the typical Chance voice. Real smooth!
IN THE BLOOD has such powerful lyrics add to that your heartfelt delivery, your amazing voices individually and in harmony and you have a song that is mesmerizing. I've been listening to it since it's release on Spotify. Then add this simple but so moving video and you have a future classic on your hands. Love you guys! I can't wait for the album release
I have not seen any of my family in 50 years.I am 73 but yes, it is still in the blood thank you guys. I say this with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. God bless you.
Walter Hill Dam has become a symbol of time washing away the hard experiences of our personal traumas. I'll never look at it again without thinking of Home Free.
Ah, where we came from causes pain and grief for some of us. But, what Satan meant for evil, God shapes and makes it new for our good and to His glory!! Talk to Him…
I thank John Mayor for this magnificent song and spine-chilling lyrics and I thank Home Free for performing it the way they do. I get goosebumps every time I hear it and it makes tears fill my eyes...... I am grateful for the music.
This video is plain beautiful! It reminds me of WWAG, no fuss, no actors, just beautiful settings, the guys, their voices and the emotions of the song. I love it since I first saw it on Monday
I'm glad an thank God for the parents we had growing up an instilling great morals & good values in us ! Mom is still with us but dad went home to be with our Lord last Sept we miss you dad !
You guys really knocked it out of the park this time! The vocals, the harmonies, the raw emotion. What a powerful cover! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
This is my hands down favorite song. It was the first I ever heard. The song was wafting through my daughter's house being played on the Alexa. From the point, I had to find out the name of the song and just WHO this group was. I went down that rabbit hole 2 years ago and I've never resurfaced or even wanted to. I put you guys up there with the greats. I love Sinatra and home Free.
Just celebrated my Dad's 90th (Mom is 85). All 4 children were there, (relatively) healthy and well....and still, one big happy family. Seeing how much the 4 of us favor our parents in one way or another, I'd have to say it's about 90% blood and 10% choice. LOVE the song, guys. "Stellar" is the word that comes to mind. Could harmonies get any better?
good song! my mom grandmother grandfather encouraged me to be my best! i will be recording my first CDs next year! GOD bless u all! GOD knows my heart! i am good! alleluia! sing it john!
I want to say I never heard this song until I heard you home free sing it . As silly as it sounds. Hearing this two years ago gave me the strength to leave a bad situation ,. Thank you for singing
I love your songs, i sing along with you EVERY TIME I HEAR YOUR MUSIC . I am a new Fan I came across your songs by divine intervention. I prayed for good music to sing along with and Home Free appeared. it all started with Angels Among Us which touched my heart, as my whole family has passed on and I'm sure I feel them at low times in my life. My room mate hears it a few times a day. Now I can give him a rest by playing your other songs, I Will pray that I am able to see your concert in Red Deer , Alberta, Canada in May. God Bless you young men and hopefully I'll see you in May, God Willing

My first listen to this song, and 😮wow! Tim sang my soul's anguish and Chance, too. Home Free has become my brothers-in-the-Lord. I may never get to hear them sing in person, or see them up close and personal, but they hug me "goodnite" each night and I am grateful God lets me listen to His sons.
this song brought me to tears. . . not in a bad way. I had incredible parents and an amazing southern rearing. I just miss the ones passed, daddy included. I am my father's son and so proud to be so. thank you for this, you boys are amazing.
This song reminds of my upbringing and how my parents treated us. Not the best of starts in life. The song doesn't make me feel negative it just reminds me that I have risen above adversity and I'm my own person. A very beautiful song which I love so much. Home Free helped to set me free 💜
I am a miniscule person in the millions of views, but I find this one of home free"s most well done video/covers. You guys excelled in your vocal interpretation of this ballad by John Mayer. It brings me to tears. All of our families can identify with this, wanting more for each generation. Thanks so much for your beautiful collaboration,

Joel Harrison They loved it so much, had to sing it & it's beautiful...For example, people think Johnny Cash's 'Ring Of Fire' was his, but it was an awesome, definitive cover of his sis-in-law's original. :)
Joel Harrison i gave it a thumbs down because a channel with over 600k subs with less then 100k views should not be on trending. It should show active members of community. This video id not "trending"
AnythingReally well that's a bit of a lame excuse for giving a thumbs down... honestly they can't help if they are on trending or not... and don't base it on subscribers and views....
That first verse is a killer for me... I don't remember ever being hugged by my mom. Oh, we said "I love you" to each other when I was leaving their home or on the phone...but "What about this feeling that I'm never good enough?" was always there. She has been gone now for 9 years and I will always wonder why didn't like me.
@@joycarlson2492 Very true. My sister and our husbands and my dad found out (when she was having an emotional breakdown) that one of her uncles sexually abused her when she around 4 - 5 years old. This confession lead to other confessions that shocked us so much that many things became so clear about so many years of confusion of my part. Only my husband and best friend in Arkansas know the truth of what happened between her and I. Breaks my heart.
I liked this song the first time I heard John Mayer singing it - but this version is something else entirely. It's so beautiful and soothing. I honestly could listen to it all day!
Started listening to Home Free by way of Seven Bridges Road and could not stop... By the way, the "waterfall" is Walter Hill Dam near Murfreesboro, TN. You're Welcome.
This song is so beautiful and painful at the same time. Tears in my eyes while writing this. People that can rise above the misery or toxic patterns that accompanied them in their early days are so courageous in my eyes. Not sure yet if i will be one of them.. love the bass and the harmonies
When we get out of this Covid hell these boys are going to take the world by storm, battering down herds of autotuned nymphettes. I think Chance has added something huge to the band, both filling Tim's verse parts and adding an upper bass depth to the harmonies. Maybe also in song choice, we will never know.
I'am in Houston and a great fan of you guys. I'am a grown man and cried. After watching how families have come together along with our 1st responders and the people pouring in all across the nation to help, I've shed a few tears this week. This song just really hit home. My brother and his wife flooded this week. I called him today to make sure I could get there to help out with all the tear out before the mold sets in. He said no need. Boy Scouts showed up this morning ready to do anything asked. Other people showed up and said "how can I help? Where do you want me?" A pizza delivery showed up paid for anonymously. I will freely admit I'd given up on the human race as being anything but human. My faith has been restored.
I believe that most people are still good. It's just that the not-so-good people tend to get more vocal and louder lately and it makes us think they're all around us. Sending love to Houston because I'm too far to help otherwise.
No shame in crying. You have been through so much this week. Many of us will never know or understand what you have endured. There are many wonderful people out there as we all are seeing now. I'm very relieved you and your family are safe. Sending hugs. Home Free will help to keep your spirits up :)
Phenomenal, kept it simple, nothing wild, and I believe this is the best performance Chance has given IMO. I feel like we never say anything about Rob. His voice is amazing and it's always relaxing. Tim we all know how amazing you are and goes the same for Austin. I'd like to hear Adam sing a solo once. But by far my favorite group. Much love from SC!

I grew up with a parent with severe mental illness (psychosis) and I struggle with depression and anxiety myself. This song hit me so hard. I feel like you pulled the lyrics out of my soul.
Just found this song and I saw the month and year it came out, this is the same year I lost My Beautiful Daughter Jessica. PRAISE GOD I'M WASHED IN THE MIGHTY BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST as well as My Dear Sweet Daughter Jessica.
I came across homefree last week by accident. They are now my favorite group, this song is amazing and so powerful, and makes me think what my mother left in me when she passed.
My aunt shared this with me a few weeks ago, my father passed in August and this really hit my heart and our lack of relationship and family dynamics. I was there at his bedside praying for him, having forgiven the past a long time ago. We were making our way back to one another as much as my father was able, he's always been a closed man. Love this song so much and it helps me release my grief and look at and continue to heal the dysfunction and brokenness in my own life and heart with the Lord's help. Thank you for making this in your own way, never heard it before and will continue to listen this and others you all do. ❤

I love this video, it’s such a simple video but I love it 🤷🏻♀️
Best acapella group in history!!!!
These guys make me so thankful for hearing!! Fantastic fellas. Keep on
No its..PENTATONIX!
then why are you here aswin ?
Even when they cover some song...they never over turn the true melody of the song...that's why they're the best too in my opinion
If you love them, check out Voctave. Home Free is my favorite acapella if I want to hear lower registers. If I want an amazing blend with more in the treble, Voctave is my go-to. Don't like their musical choices quite as well, but wow. Especially their two sopranos just make you want to cry with joy.
Just happened to come across this by accident... Never heard of you guys until now. Now I can't get enough. Such a beautiful sound!
That's what happened to all the Home Fries (Home Free fans). ;) Enjoy the ride.
Same here!
Welcome, Michael Green and Jorge Zetina to the Home Free Fry Family!
I'm late to the party ... but totally love their sounds!! ❤️
I am another total fan from the first time I heard them!
Sooooo true
I don't know about any of you guys but that brought tears to my eyes. by far the most beautiful song they have ever done.
Beautiful
Makes me think of my wonderful girlfriend, brings tears to my eyes
@@reemaayache953 People have said that to me, too. I'm still haunted by the abuse I experienced for many years from my mother, but I do know that I am not like her. But people have told me that children are more like their parents than they think, and I hope that's not the case with me.
@@revacohen you do not have to be like your parents! By God's grace you are changed, by Jesus blood! 🙏📖🙏 show ❤️ like Jesus
Wow, what a song
"Is it that I'm never good enough" Words I ask myself every single day. Home Free you did another tremendous job with this song. Keep them coming.
Rob the *Velvet* Beard!
100%!
Awesome, guys. I love your voices. 😊😊😊❤
Where are you?
Marg Fried Wow! Very well sayed, my friend!
Thanks Marg!! We're excited for y'all to hear the rest of the album!
Home Free it is a beautiful albam you are doing and I can't wait to it come out either Home Free
I downloaded the playlist and listen to it every day!
beautiful song, you guys done an amazing job and i love the video
I have not seen any of my family in 50 years.I am 73 but yes, it is still in the blood thank you guys. I say this with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. God bless you.
sending you love from South Africa ❤
this song speaks to the healing needing to survivors from traumatic situations, imho. I have listened to this 40+ times.
Harmony like this reminds me of how humanity should be....all so different but amazingly complimentary to each other!! So beautiful! (Sniffle)
So, true in these sad times. It is what we need.
Hat mir den Morgen ,der grau und trüb ist verschönt
Always in the blood of Christ will that come... Our eternal hope
I've never in my life ever heard a song that applies to my life so much that I can feel my heart ache so badly just from purely being able to relate.
I stand next to you in this emotional experience Cass. It's a deep space to be for me
I think anyone who's been abused could probably relate. They wonder if they will be the same way and will they ever get over it.
I feel the same
Walter Hill Dam has become a symbol of time washing away the hard experiences of our personal traumas. I'll never look at it again without thinking of Home Free.
Middle Tennessee native. MTSU Alumni. I’ve been many hours in the exact same spot. Some 20 years since I’ve been there. I need to head “HOME” soon.
this is great! i am glad i found yall!
Water isn't strong enough, only the precious blood of Jesus Christ.... Thank you Jesus!
Ah, where we came from causes pain and grief for some of us. But, what Satan meant for evil, God shapes and makes it new for our good and to His glory!! Talk to Him…
YOU GUYS ARE SO WONDERFUL - you really got the BROTHER thing right!
Totally agree!!
????
WWAG = What We Ain't Got another Home Free cover
I'm glad an thank God for the parents we had growing up an instilling great morals & good values in us ! Mom is still with us but dad went home to be with our Lord last Sept we miss you dad !
The best Vocal Band in the entire universe. Couldn't agree more.
You guys really knocked it out of the park this time! The vocals, the harmonies, the raw emotion. What a powerful cover! Can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
We can't wait, either! We're excited for y'all to hear it
I love this song.
John Mayer fan here from India. You did it justice, very powerful. Big fan.👍
Wow, thanks so much!
Home Free replied!!!! 😊 Welcome
Aussie here and I feel the same! ❤
Hello Cheryl how are you doing today merry Christmas
@@alexdiaz4181 doing great and Merry Christmas and happy new years to you 😊

Wish my Great Grandmother could listen with me. We loved the Christian songs and I think of who we came from and who we still have around us.
Anything sung by Home Free is always wonderful! Love them so much!
That would flow nicely into - "Oh, the blood of Jesus, oh the blood of Jesus, oh the blood of Jesus, the washes white as snow."
So touching and involving. Your voices go straight to the heart. Goosebumps.
Agreed! ♥
Glad ya like it
Home Free This song and video are really wonderful! Thank you!

Wow!
Love John Mayer's version but this is great to
My first listen to this song, and 😮wow! Tim sang my soul's anguish and Chance, too. Home Free has become my brothers-in-the-Lord. I may never get to hear them sing in person, or see them up close and personal, but they hug me "goodnite" each night and I am grateful God lets me listen to His sons.
Hello Judith..
I am always amazed at how great each one of their voices are. Any one of them could be a solo artist
I get to see you guys September 1st in Iowa!!!! I'm so excited I get to meet you guys!!! I'm gonna probably cry like crazy!!
One word: Masterpiece
this song brought me to tears. . . not in a bad way.
Ya,ll are fantastic sure makes this old woman's day thank you 💕 keep going
Brilliant xxx
You know its going to be a favorite when the 1st few notes from Tim gives you the chills.
I am a miniscule person in the millions of views, but I find this one of home free"s most well done video/covers. You guys excelled in your vocal interpretation of this ballad by John Mayer. It brings me to tears. All of our families can identify with this, wanting more for each generation. Thanks so much for your beautiful collaboration,
I too, have to Agree Completely With The Song..... Sorta Was How My Life Went On..... From Young Childhood..... Always So Many Questions and Doubts......I have made it to 80..... Year's Old. Not A Lot of Trouble.... God's Word's Are Written For Us To Learn And Obey. AMEN ❤️🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿
one of my fave song from homefree..
What idiot could ever give these guys a thumbs down. They are so amazing with every cover they do.
Master The NEC I can think of one reason why the thumbs down: not "John Mayer"
Joel Harrison They loved it so much, had to sing it & it's beautiful...For example, people think Johnny Cash's 'Ring Of Fire' was his, but it was an awesome, definitive cover of his sis-in-law's original. :)
Love your music just wish you would come sing near me close enough I could go
Joel Harrison i gave it a thumbs down because a channel with over 600k subs with less then 100k views should not be on trending.
When a person is unable to love another, it is because of their lack, not yours.
She loved you. She was too damaged herself and didn't know how to show it.
@itsmetoot Mine too. May you and your family be blessed and find healing.
It is always in the blood. Runs deep in the blood and it is not something that can be washed out.
I'm OBSESSED with this song and their version of it. Beautiful job, boys!
I love this song
Me Too!! It speaks to my life.
I like it much better than the original.
@@daleaaron6575 definitely...... 💯👌
@@janesaavedra1323 It's a great version no doubt, but for me, it's John Mayer! Amazing song!😃
Darion, you c an overcome. Rely on God and friends Praying for you
I read some of the other comments before writing this one...It's obvious that your voices touch the world! I'm so proud of you guys.
Aw shucks
thiam tawp
JOHN MAYER must be so happy with this.
You nailed this one good, guys
Why has it taken me so long to find this absolutely beautiful song?!!!!
When we get out of this Covid hell these boys are going to take the world by storm, battering down herds of autotuned nymphettes. I think Chance has added something huge to the band, both filling Tim's verse parts and adding an upper bass depth to the harmonies. Maybe also in song choice, we will never know.
in the blood of the lamb such a cool gospel song
Aw shucks, thanks so much!

Not only is the song itself touching, the voices are unbelievably beautiful. I love it!!
I grew up with a parent with severe mental illness (psychosis) and I struggle with depression and anxiety myself. This song hit me so hard. I feel like you pulled the lyrics out of my soul.
Hello. My apologies for infringing on your privacy. Beautiful song. How are you

I came across homefree last week by accident. They are now my favorite group, this song is amazing and so powerful, and makes me think what my mother left in me when she passed.
i hope you recovered from that, my best wishes to you :>
As Jewell said to Tim Foust on the Sing Off: " you've got some serious range there, Country Boy!" LOVE the range on Tim!
Me too!!! But I am an Austin girl!!!!
she said that to Austin
Well , I'm a 79 year old woman who is blessed by your music. Thank you so very much for sharing your gift.
