WE all know that this is John Denver.
Did you know that he auditioned for more than one year with Six Flags over Tx?
They never hired him, and yet he went on to be one of the most iconic singers in the 70's and 80"s?
Boo, Six Flags.
And 60+ years after he was rejected by Six Flags, he's an icon.
I’m a 57 yr old Black female and I know every word!!! Hee Haw was one of my favorite shows as a kid and I love the Country from the 70’s!!!
You are a very unique person! I like all kinds of music, but these guys take the cake! They make you want to listen to them all the time! And they sure can put you in a better mood! I'm 66 and white, if that matters. 🌞
That's awesome. I'm 28 but I love classic country because of my dad who grew up watching Hee Haw and listening to it on the radio. Lots of wonderful family memories for me with that music. It sounds like home to me - sounds like it does to you too :)
God bless you 🙏 with love.
Lady after my own heart!
There ain't color to country, like them city folk! You're a brother/sister to us, don't matter who you are, where you're from, what color you are or how rich/poor you are.
Tim sometimes looks so serious and you won't know how silly he is 😂
Who is still listening in 2024? ...from Fort Worth, Texas
I believe John would approve.
He would
thank God that I am a home fry and thank God for home free. 😍😍😍
annnnnddddd presses play again.. 😂😂😂
Best comment
I love this comment so much!
YES!
YASS
yup thank god we are fan of home free
This was sooooo much fun! Adam's face at the end gets me every time! Love it!
So the guy with the glasses, he found his voice!! And what a great voice it is! He's been singing kind of like a cartoon character and I wanted to smack him on his back to make his real voice appear, lol! I knew there was something else that he had to have, and this lush, deep voice sporting some great vibrato was really great! Thanks for unleashing the real you!
Tim chucking gasoline on the barbeque and then spitting out his beer made me cackle like the chicken he's holding at the end. Lmao
Shresh Ramsout same I love them so much
I came to say that 😂😂😂🖤
Same 😂
I only recently found this guys and there gd
First person I've ever seen hold a chicken like that.
0:27 Tim gets me.
0:49 and again.
0:54 and again
1:03 yet again
1:07 he still gets me
2:00 especially here
2:07 literally me
love it
Tim is my spirit animal
+Katie Johnston o my God YES
Really!!!!
I have to agree with you! Tim makes my heart go pitter pat....and yes...my husband knows:)
Would've love to be born a country boy.
Stumbled on to these guys few weeks ago and I regret it took so long to find them!!!!
People are so enchanted by Austin's voice that they overlook what a very fine comic actor he is. He perfectly tells the story here. Sometimes if I'm a bit low I remember the scene in the coffee shop with a recalcitrant drinking straw that doesn't want to be caught, and it cheers me up immediately.
I like how Tim just pours some fire starter on the fire xD
:-)
I laughed out loud 😂😂
My ex husband and his cousin start fires like this....I'm just glad they never started a whole dang forest fire!!! 🤷♀️
I bet it was intentional
Just like a country boy!
RIP John Denver 1943 - 1997 ✝️🙏🏻🇺🇸😊🎸
This song holds a special place in my heart. Great man you were and forever will be, John. 😎🥃
Not only are these guys ridiculously talented you can tell they have a lot of fun doing this.
"Thank God I'm a Country Boy."
Thank God I'm a Home Free FAN
YES
We're called Home Fries
Yes yes yes
True😊
Yep
I have extreme anxiety issues. When I have a bad panic attack, the only cure is to put on headphones and listen to any of your songs. Your voices are very soothing to the mind. Keep pumping out the awesome arrangements! Please!!!
Good one! Also try listening to Elvis Presley ☺️
@@omych97 l love you song
I just found Home Free. At the time this is being written I am in the hospital for day9. So far I've loved every video I've seen great covers great music great vocals why you guys aren't mainstream I will never know but welson you deserve a lot of praise. Thank you for making the world a better place.
I loved this video!!! Everything fell apart without Austin, poor Tim crying and everyone having a meltdown!! I love the horses at the end, the brown horse sniffing the chicken....oh my heart!! I miss my horse and chickens!!
Hello Amber how are you doing
Thank God I'm a country fan!
nice
Yas
I see what you did there Noel Tan! :) Love it! :)
Noel Tan Mate to be honest, for me country music is always the best
Amen!!!
i just LOVE the part where tim put oil in the fire and they all run away XD
I also loved when he was crying and Rob consoled him!
+Megan Mabry yea XD
It was lighter fluid. But yup that was the funniest part!
tim crying..... 😅 his face....
+Cory Mabry Me too! 😂😂
Heck yeah thank God im a country Latino man😊🎉🎉🎉🎉❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Five star performance!
3:30 Tim kissing the horse 😍
lucky horse ):
It kept moving its head up for more.
Realmente, ele é um neném 😔👍
Austin is so talented. Yodeling is hard
Yodeling is really fun to do
Yeah you've gotta purposefully break your voice and control it.. difficult af
its really really cool! but it's not Really Yodelling. its a very similar technique, but this is more of short voice breaks and saying yodellihoo. Cool nonetheless!
Usually I used to do this on purpose to be funny until I suddenly got used to it. It gets easier with practice and progress.
technically this is more what the irish would call diddling. Youdeling is rapid transitions between head and chest voice or more specifically above and below f#4 G4. The rapid transitioning of th larynx is what makes the kindof gulping sound endemic to yodeling
Thank God I am a country girl!
Special appearance by the Minneapolis Light Rail. Glad it's getting some use. We paid enough for it.
Tim is such a goofball im LAUGHING SO HARD AHAHAHAH
:-)
Tim and Austin both. Tim at quite a few moments in here (quite a few comments point out where those are) and a couple parts of Austin's that were especially funny in here was him at 1:49-1:51 and at 1:58-2:00.
@@HomeFreeGuys haha you are all goofballs I loved how rob was comforting tim after the fire incident and the tractor ride. also the coffee part had me dead you guys rock!
AH HA HA HE HE HE HO HO HO HE HE HE ...
Hope to hear more country songs. Admire your songs guys!
Did anyone else go back and read what the coffee shop signs said? “Iced Venti vegan quad shot espresso kappa kappa-cino you can't read all this cool whip and nay nay...” LOL Someone had too much fun with that! :P
I wonder who GF is.....
Gluten free
I had too much fun with that 😂
And the map and the sign at the station say:
Big City
Home Freemont
Sweet
I love the fact that the fire blowing up wasn’t even in the script probably
I guess you boys didn’t know the rule about leaving gates how you find em…. If it’s open, leave it open, and if it’s closed, leave it closed..Good song 🦋
This was fun, guys. Well done! I agree with those asking for "Ghost Riders in the Sky."
Great suggestion!
Another great song would be either Karen Carpenter's "Solitaire" or "They Call the Wind Mariah" from Paint Your Wagon
+Chris M I'm not familiar with a couple of those. I will have to look them up and listen.
Why are these guys not on the top of every billboard!!!!?
Hope you have as much fun making these videos as I do watching them!
I lost it at the part when the grill flames up and Tim spits his drink all over! Lolol!
OMGosh, I am VERY happily married, but that Bass Guy With The Chicken is KILLIN ME! LOL OMGosh
In other words, I'm in love. And I appreciate the total openness of the crying in anguish at the loss of his mentor. It TRULY displays that REAL MEN cry after eating their wife's quiche' and watching "The Notebook" alone in the Man Cave. *huGgleS*
Thank God I'm a Home Free Fan 😍😍😍
Wow I can listen to Home Free all the time, when I went for my kidney operation I was singing there song How Great thou art , I love the way they sing it, I love all there music,I am one of there biggest fan God Bless you guys,😁
Hello cindy leslie. How are you doing

Hello Wanda how are you doing
It seriously sounds like you sing "Lady-on-the-loo" in the yodling part. Cracks me up everytime.

And what an exception! :)
i only listen hardstyle but i got a few exeptions too (3)
Same.
I'm all about metal but also love these guys.
この歌を聴いて、このグループが好きになりました。
So, I've watched this many times and just now realized that the horse at the end seems to be telling Tim that he is holding HIS chicken. LOL Hope you gave the horse his chicken back! 😉♥️
Hello Lori VonFeldt. How are you doing
Hello Lori how are you doing
I come back here every so often to see Austin with that gorgeous curly hair spread on that pillow, LOL Of course I am an Austinfry through and through. And now in December of 2020 he has really become a fabulous songwriter to add to his vocal and performance skills !!!
+Home Free John Denver is looking down you guys and smiling from ear to ear!! Fantastic tribute!!
"Life ain't nothin' but a funny funny riddle." John Denver was in a class above as he was a HOF songwriter, HOF musician on the 12-string guitar, and an other-worldly HOF
That was amazing, the horses would come back but thank God you caught that chicken!!!
Hello Tracy how are you doing
y'all, PLEASE put this on spotify, i'm begging you
Why...so they can get involved with more politics ?
@@brega6286 ???? No because I like the song and I want to listen to it on spotify
3:29
Horse: *exists*
Tim Foust: *HoRsE SmOoCh*
Stop being cute lol
😂😂 Haha!!!
John Denver was in a class above as he was a Hall of Fame songwriter, who rarely if ever covered another artist's song; he was a HOF musician on the acoustic 12-string guitar, not an easy instrument to master and often it was just JD and his guitar on the performance stage. John was an other-worldly HOF singer/vocalist, who admitted that the greatest snub of his life was that the concert promoters DID NOT WANT HIM TO PERFORM AT WOODSTOCK in the late summer of 1969, claiming he was too country. He wrote: “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” as he response to the hurtful Woodstock omission.
That's a Rhode Island Red.. Beautifulest chicken ever :)
Hello Barbara how are you doing
This song never fails to put a smile on my face, and you guys killed it! Well done!
What a great tribute to John Denver. Love the yodel! That makes it so country! You guys always have the best videos and we have such fun watching you have fun! I've always loved music and all of your music makes me happy! Please come to Oregon when you start touring again so I can gather up my friends and have a great night out with Home Free! Thank you for all of this great music!
I agree with you mostly, except one thing, yodel comes from the swiss alpes not the Country in the USA xD
Tim: chucks fire starter on fire....
Everybody and Tim:..... SHIT..😂
thank god I country girl down to earth living life to the fullest joy an happiness an peaceful
You all are SO REFRESHING to listen to. I know the songs you sing by original artists but you all really add to them. That's complimentary to the artist that performed them originally and to you all for sharing the talents of your voices, your humor and not 'barbarizing' the songs we all love! That shows respect. And....I've shared your music with my daughters and grandchildren. They LOVE your music!
I love this group of artists. I really love the part at the end when they are talking about letting the horses out! Watch for when Tim kisses the horse. It seems so spontaneous and genuine. Maybe only true horse lovers can understand but the outside of the horse is a healing balm to the inside of a persons soul!
I’m 11 years old and I love this song so much and I can’t stop listening to it
Yeah that's the number 1 no no on a farm..never leave the gate open if it's shut when you enter😉 really enjoyed this video..Thank God I'm a country girl! ❤️
Hello Belle how are you doing
You all should be more famous if you sing like that 🎤🎙you are awesome 😎
Please help us share these videos on social media! :-)
Wow! This is my new favorite Home Free cover! Zamber, Zamber, and Bates make a hell of a music video, and Home Free knocks it out of the park with this one. Clever, funny, and an auditory jewel. The yodeling was primo! Love these guys!
Thank God I live somewhere that's safe from most conflict. But may God help anyone that needs it and also does not need it.
John Denver must be smiling... These guys have honored him in a way that can't be topped... John - he left us too soon
Tim at 2:00 is my entire life
I didn't think anything could top John Denver's original. I was xz a huge fan of his. But they did it. I really love their videos as much as their singing!
Hello Alison how are you doing
Ok I got a kick out of this but come on, John Denver is still the man.. You just can't beat him.
They cover songs they personally like and I'm pretty sure they don't cover them to 'beat' the original version (or the better known version), or to have a competition whose version is better.
And a handsome bunch of country boys.
I love this version!! Great vocals and yodeling!! John Denver has always been one of my favorites!! ❤👍☺
There was something really striking, unique, and oddly satisfying about the yodeling in harmony. I've never heard anything like it, and frankly, I'm rather amazed by it! I haven't been so struck with a sound in music since discovering progressive Bluegrass, and that was all due to Chris Thile! If you think that is somehow a bland compliment, I assure you, there's no one who I feel is more talented than he in contemporary music, he is simply a virtuoso I loved Austin's yodel in the cover of "All about the Base" but this..is just impressive beyond impressive!.
* ...there's no one who I feel is more talented...
You wouldn't say, "I feel him is more talented," so you also wouldn't say, "whom I feel is more talented." The word order is a little different, but the dependent clause still governs.
I bet Jewel would melted for the yodeling on "The Sing Off."
Its also a pretty ingenious way of integrating the typical "country fiddle" feel in acapella. super awesome!
Chris Thile makes me feel bad about myself lol
Calm down. Your european. Its from Europe
John made this song some time before my stint in the Folsom with Johnny. Dang it was fun being a country boi.
Awww the horse at the end! 😄
Just heard this one in our local radio station today and I couldn't be happier. Greetings from Czech Republic ❤️🇨🇿
John Denver would of really liked how you all did a remake on his song.
Nancy Long just a shame how he passed too.
I wonder if the yodeling was a conscious or even semi-conscious hat tip, to John Denver's Calypso. Been a huge fan of John Denver's, all my life, and not just because I grew up in Colorado. He was a phenomenal talent, under appreciated, although popular and widely recognized. He was never afraid to take risks & have fun- just watch some of his old special with the Muppets.
Great Job guys, a joy to watch.
I just noticed that Tim kissed that horse. That's totally sweet. I love your cover of this song, you all are so talented and charming and funny.
So happy this cover exists! I loved John Denver and wish he were still around. This was a great song of his and now it is a great song of Home Free' s. Love this version! Thanks Home Free!
G'Day from Australia. I don't normally like country music but you guys did a great job
So funny! And adorable young Austin! 😊🥰
I recommend you get your wood up off the ground and corded... Because wood laying on the ground absorbs moisture... And wet wood doesn't burn very well and to make heat. Get the wood corded in a wood shed, or under roof, or covered with a tarp to dry. Winter will be sooner than you think.
For the base on the ground: start with 2 2 x4 boards, laid parallel with each other, about 8 to 10" apart and cord your wood on top of the 2 2x4.boards. supports the air circulation around the wood.
I grew up with John Denver singing this happy song and I loved, loved, LOVED your rendition guys, thanks!
Boys you just nail it 👍😉🤣 OUTSTANDING FUN PERFORMANCE 😉👍 Cheers 🍻
If no one else is going to say it: When that good lookin' man falls back in the pillows and sings "Thank God I'm a country boy," I thought it was a country girl. And a beautiful one at that.
(A little beardy, but nobody's perfect!) Thanks for a wonderful song and video!
BY THE POWER AND AUTHORITY GIVEN TO ME BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, EVERYONE THAT COMES ON THIS SITE IS COMPLETELY HEALED. AMEN. THE CHILD OF GOD.
You have become my favorite band ♥
Oh yay!!
Home Free haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hello Lolly Mintpop. How are you doing?
Musically, it's fantastic, but I wanna also praise the video itself. You're all just getting better and better. Well done!
I love you guys. I'm Originally from Brisbane (Brisy to the locals as well as others) but when I was 13 My Mum and I moved to The Atherton Tablelands, Far North Queensland. Back to Her Home town Grandpa moved up from The Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney in the 1920's. My Great Grandma and about 9 of Her Kids moved. My 4 times Great Grandparents on His side were amongst the first White People to Go There. They'd lived there ever since then. My 4 times Great Grandpa and Famous British Explorer John Oxley lead that Exploration Party. Unfortunately they didn't make it all the way across. He also Discovered Brisy although neither Him nor the man Brisbane was named for liked it back then. It was a Swamp originally. Everyone calls it The Brisy River, but officially it's The Oxley River. Being a Modern Non-racist Aussie I have Mixed Feelings about it. My Grandma immigrated from Finland along with Her Parents and Brothers during WWI. The Atherton Tablelands is Up a Mountain Range behind Cairns. We have Rainforests, Waterfalls and Swimming Holes as well, but with Cooler Temperatures than the coast. You'll also find Rolling Green Hills. Due to long extinct Volcanoes our soil is also good for growing a wide variety of crops. As well as being Dairy Cattle Country. We dance to "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" at Parties but usually we do Our Version Of A Reel to the Hampton The Hampster version. I'll have introduce You're Version to A Married Couple who are friends of mine. They like to play DJ at Our Parties, although they might have already heard it. We prefer a Techno Beat, The Rednex version of "Cotton Eyed Joe" is also popular. That song Will Never Die, put it on and Everybody Dances. Although you'll never see a sign of a Gingham Dress. My Fellow Ladies usually wear Jeans, a Good Top and Heels. I've only seen one Gingham Dress in Real Life once. It wasn't at a party and Everyone was too polite to say anything bad about it or how Out Of Place It Was to Her. Personally I'd feel like a Hypocrite in a Cowboy Hat, I'm somewhere between A City And Country Girl. Although most of the locals treat Me like one of there own. Well I have a lot of Relatives, Old Family Friends and People Who Remember From High School. I wouldn't have called Myself one of The A Crowd. But Pretty Much Everyone knew Me. Even without trying to I was Always being Chased and Propositioned by My Hormone Crazed Male Classmates. My first year of High School I had to deal with some Mean Girls as a result. I really didn't need it when My Mum and I left Brisy We also Left My Abusive Father. I wasn't the least bit Vain, instead I have Self-esteem and Self-image Issues. Those Guys helped. I decided either Dad was wrong or it was Mass Blindness, so Dad had to have been wrong. Fortunately The Ringleader of those Mean Girls left after that year. I just continued to Be The Lady the way I was raised to be. Basically Good to Everyone, with Simple Elegance. Along with Most Of My Teachers, I Charmed Nearly Everyone. I can't help that I've got long legs and skin that easily tans. A Girl I went to School with Who was a Model told Me I had A Face For Modelling. But My Potential Boyfriend is an Unashamed Computer Geek. While He's Attractive, it's His being a Sweet, Kind Gentleman that Attracts Me. He lives about an hours drive away. After Covid settles down We'll See.
We saw these Guys in Columbus, Ga.!!!GREAT Show!!!!2024!!
I love Tim so much!! You guys are hilarious and you always have such a fun time making these videos and they always turn out amazing!
Hello Junebug.How are you doing?
Let me explain somethin'... I'm Deaf. I collect information through physical receptors so when I see your physical expressions (fuckin' Austin, man🤣), I get to "hear" and enjoy the music like hearing people. That's really thoughtful. THANK YOU!🙏🤟💯
Put the subwoofer on and feel Tim sing his baselines! It could tremble the base of a fairly large mountain!
@@miazetterberg2263 I do that every tune. Outstanding!
Me too! We watched it every week.
If you were born in the woods it is hard to deal with city. So I am clad I am back were the blue hills meet the endless sky.😁
I think I woke my mom up laughing when they poured the gasoline or whatever it was on the fire
lighter fluid. just so ya know.
+Jocelyn Rodriguez- Tellez oh okay! thank you!
When they used Gasoline like they did on the Ring of Fire set, They almost burned everything down and almost caught the cameraman on fire.
There is a video of that is on there facebook page, around the same time they posted the Ring of Fire video to it
Ok, as usual, Home Free did a great job on this song (love the yodeling) and the video is hilarious. All the guys are great...but I think the horse at that end steals the show. I can't tell if he was trying to kiss the chicken, scare it away, or make-out with Tim. The horse obviously loved Tim. Too funny! Keep up the good work guys.
If they had done this song on the Sing Off, I'm sure Jewel would have melted as her dad is yodeler.
You guys are A W E S O M E !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!+
The YeeeeHaw gets me every time!!! Super great cover and one to listen to over and over.
The harmonies are awesome! This video is hilarious and made me laugh continuously. Just when I think you cannot top yourself along comes a video that proves me wrong. Great video!
thanks lanell!
Jesteście nie samowici! Greetings from Poland
Best version I've ever heard! Better than John Denver!! I'm 150% country. Not easy to impress me! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
