Everything about the terror is just class the story the actors the script the costumes and the sound effects everything 😎 frightened the bejesus out of me too
I agree with you, It was good acting and strived for authenticity. I felt like a sailor 200 years ago stranded on the ice for years, what a terrifying prospect.
My great great grandfather was on that expedition. Lt. Frederick John HORNBY who gets a name check in episode 1 but unfortunately meets his demise in episode 5. "A good sailor" according to the script writers!!
Windham Hornby. An awesome piece of information about your relative there, a source of pride for you too. I read about this ill fated expedition way back in the eighties, when some of the graves were discovered in the arctic. It is a fascinating, but also a very tragic and moving story.
@@kevinharrison5009 Yep. My Canadian cousin has kept me up to date with all the latest research. As you say they found some bones and I was asked to provide some DNA so they could try to identify them. No match however. But the more recent discovery of the ships has yielded a treasure trove of almost pristine artifacts including some items belonging to my great great grandfather. Although he served on Terror his materials were found on Erebus which adds to the intrigue!
Can I ask for your opinion, is that series disturbing? I cant handle horror tho😣, but I want to watch it because Tobias Menzies in it. So how is it? Is it feel like a horror movies feels?
I read the Dan Simmons book first . Excellent. The film has made changes. The supernatural creature perhaps is more terrible when left to the imagination. For another slant to the story it’s worth reading the dedication in the book. There’s a vital clue to what inspired it beyond the historical Franklin Expedition. Oddly I’ve seen no reference to this anywhere!
Was really looking forward to this after reading the book.but couldn't hear what was being said the dialogue was too quiet and too garbled.i recorded the whole series but watched two episodes then scrubbed the lot.too frustrated to carry on.
@@reinadegrillos 🤣 only joking. I'm at the end of the series again today. The creature dissolved a lot of the dread built up in the early episodes I found. He does love eating heads and souls!
By arrogance I believe you mean that he is well spoken (public school maybe ?) , very articulate and confident in his opinions about the characters and the plot. Arrogant, I don’t think so.
@@laytonjames9741 Not at all. For the record, I’m a public school product. Look at the way he views Ciaran when he answers. There’s a look of disdain. If you can’t see it, so be it.
Well MrDavey2010 , I didn’t expect that reply. Perhaps you should ease up on the alcohol at this late hour and maybe listen more carefully to what’s being said by Tobias
Nah, i've seen lots of Tobias' interviews and he's not arrogant at all, on the contrary, very respectful and interesting. I also recall him saying only good words about Ciarán and you can see their comfortable around each other!

If that is true - that is amazing - great series - I shall go back and look for him!
Respect to your relative
Wow! It must have been very emotional for you, watching the series......

Tobias Menzies is amazing and everything he's in is fantastic
I can't believe I am only just watching terror. It's incredible, such a hidden gem

Caesar and Brutus are friends again?
Cool
Apparently,Yes
They merely quarreled a little now they are friends again, eh?
They were also both in Game of Thrones, though they never shared scenes
@@prosimianneither did Niobe/Elaria. It was a pity...
Ciaran is an actor born to play the roles of leader, captain, owner, etc.🏆👑
Consul, General, Dictator...almost Emperor he´s a Legend
I've watched the first four episodes but tbh I'm struggling now that ciaran has gone. 😢
Incredible series, incredible performances. Best show I’ve watched in years.
A superb series. Powerful, emotional & beautifully presented. Jared Harris is compelling to watch- a very strong presence on screen.
The best serie of 2018 for the moment

Ciaran Hinds is going to become the new Sean Bean
Really enjoying this series...I particularly like the Welsh Wigs - A new knitting project on its way 🐑
They could pass as father and son
I watched it really good based on a true story with some fiction added 👌

HE REFUSES TO MEET ME!
The series was great and all the actors. But the creature... really?
Agree 100%
What creature? I'm only on episode one hashtag spoiler hashtag ruined
@@crashbangwhallopwhatavideo There are also two ships. (Another spoiler) lol.

It based on a book as well as the real story... the beast was in the book that was written.
Tobias looks better with long hair.
Such a fantastic historical series ruined by the creature bullshit..
Half historical , the book had the beast in it
Tobias has an air of arrogance about him.
