Tri Five Nationals 2022 - Old School EVERYTHING!

- When I go to an event like the Tri Five Nationals, I wear many hats. I photograph the event for a magazine...in this case, Modern Rodding. In addition to the print magazine coverage, I provided social media content for Modern Rodding, All Chevy Performance and Classic Truck Performance magazines. I also post social media content on Coker Tire's Instagram and Facebook page. I did a total of six photo shoots for various publications. Yet somehow, I still find time to enjoy myself, so in this video, I wanted to show some of the stuff I liked during a day of walking the property at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

I was born in 1955 but my favorite is the 1957 2 door hardtop ! I've always wanted one but so far I've settled for a 1957 Willy's station wagon 4x4 with all of the original equipment !

Really enjoying the Tri5 Nationals videos. We were busy racing and didn't get to see to much of the show cars and swap meet.

Thx for the fantastic video. I was there.. next time go back in the campgrounds to see even more unique stuff...like vintage campers. I've seen enough 2lane blacktop/radiused wheel opening cars.

Man, I seen you at the Nationals and was going to talk to you some but didn't want to bother you videoing the races. The 56 (blew by you) is a awesome running car. The green 55 (night stalker) wasn't there this year and I love watching that car run. Love the videos and next time I holler at you and say hello!!

That lime green 55' gasser sure gets around he races up here in Wisconsin at Great lakes dragway in Union Grove Wis. He just pounds that car to the ground.

I had a 55 flip front end with a full blown 396 c.i. 4 speed back in 76. 2 Door hardtop Red black truck & roll. Ran it a couple of years, sold it then I got a 57 2 door post it was a screamer. Later I got a 67 GT fast back mustang gold color and it hardly ever got out ran. Man what I would give up if I could have them back.

A white 55 Chevy gasser blew past me at 75 mph and still scratched shifting gears...(1976 ) I 40 west bound from Nashville... most impressive

The 567 club started out in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. It was started because the guy wanted a club to save money on parts
The bell housing is for a big block Mopar max wedge probably from back in the day when Mopar dealer ships sold speed parts for drag racing

I always get leary seeing the rear-end of a dragster try to go around the front-end on take off ! A friend mine had a friend that flipped his car shortly after take off ! He was lucky to survive the crash but his car was beyond repair !

Later we took it off the street and rebuilt it for the strip. That is how I got into cars.I am 74 and I own a 33 willys. Looking for a 55 nomad so I can tow my race car

Ever seen a fake 2 4 barrel tunnel ram ? My dad had a 55 nomad tilt front end and a small block with the fake tunnel ram. Only one I have ever seen
Man just picked up a couple 450 carbs for $200 ,like like new now I just need a tunnel ram can't make my mind up go big tunnel ram or a under the hood lol what u think
When I was in High School you could buy a decent '55-6 for about $150. '57s were not that cheap even then. More like $300-500.
Does anybody know what happened to the car the Richard Ruth based the TLB car on.
It’s suppose to be a carbon copy of his own, just in primer. That did good on the track.

Project X was not at the Tri5 Nationals this year.
I hear ya on that but I also like the idea of seeing what can be accomplished going EV. Even Big Daddy went after the record for an EV dragster. I’m always gonna prefer the noice and violence of a built, gas engine though. Especially in freakin PROJECT X!!! I hope they aren’t serious about keeping it EV.
