I can see it struggles with those lower frequencies that are dominant in most modern hip-hop/trap beats. It says port is tuned to 35hz, which is nice. But I don't expect it to play lower than 30hz
What's the volume maxed out at ? Is it the same issue as old 5.1 which was maxed at 32?
Comparison of the JBL bar 500 and JBL 5.1 surround pls
I read a review that said with these JBL sound bars use the same wifi freq as your router hub and thus there can be bad interference. Apparently the hub should be at least 20 feet from the sound bar which seems impossible to achieve in most home set ups. Was this mentioned in the instructions that came with the product?
If your router has 2.4 ghz frequency, of course this bar is going to use the same frequency to connect, right?
About the subwoofer, i’m pretty sure it uses bluetooth for conection with the soundbar
How is the bass setup on this system, does the sub have low, medium and high settings? Or can you adjust it like my jbl 3.1 system with 0-30 settings on subwoofer, I like that better then low medium high as you can tune it better for bass. Thanks
You can adjust the bass from 1 the lowest to 5 the highest.
Is 5.1 sound best via the HDMI cable or the Optical connection if you are streaming Netflix for example through a Smart TV?
Both are high resolution audio connectivity, however the HDMI supports formats like Dolby Atmos or advance DTS HD or EX found in streaming services.

I don't like how simple the EQ controls are on the App. I like the ability to adjust individual bands in Hz. It would've been cool if you could choose from basic or advanced EQ settings. Not sure why they didn't make that an option.
Hard to say, since im using jbl quantum 610 headshet :D These have allready super bass sound. Is it worth buying, it cost 400euros ?

Sorry for my bad english, I'm brazilian and recently i bought this BAR 500. Sometimes I turn on after a few days but the bar crashes and is slow to change functions and does not connect correctly to Bluetooth. So I need to unplug and plug again the BAR into the power.
Have you ever seen this problem?

Yes jbl 2.1 has deep bass only but jbl bar 500 has punchy bass only
My advice is to try samsung q800c you won't regret it I am using it now

@@puddin995 JBL lo escogí por la durabilidad, resistencia de su construcción y su sistema. Por el tema del presupuesto Sony tiene mejores tecnologías pero con poca calidad del material y los sistemas.
Los dos tienen muy buenos y mejores sonidos.

Which 5.1? The one with detachable surround or the one without? I will try to make a comparison later to the one with detachable surround speakers soon, the one without surround is hard to find.

Great video and yes, I agree the bass sounds non-directional just stays in one place does not go thru the room stays in one place and pounds which is great but limits Dolby atmospheric sound.

Jbl..5.1 4k..and Jbl 500 3D... 5.1 Dolby Digital dts.. and 500 Dolby Atmos .... I recommend Jbl 5.1...good ..sonud and good bass .. Jbl 5.1 can adjust bass..1 to 25 or 30 .... But Jbl500 ... 3 level.. low ..mid high... I prefer.. jbl 5.1 ... bass adjust 20 enough for ...high ..bass... Jbl 500 .. atleast need high... max level.. for good bass... I agree only jbl 5.1 👌

If you have a budget and ready to spend a little more.. go for the 9.1. It can provide you better surround & cinematic experience.The real Dolby atmos is the most notable difference that the 9.1 can give compared to 500
