I just bought this set one week ago.
Although I used to have a 5.1 system with seperate speakers. This JBL is amazing. We all enjoy the sound so much more. The sub is on preset 2 out of 5 which is high enough.
How is it compared to the 5.1 with detachable speakers? That had a 13 kg subwoofer, JBL 500 subwoofer is 10 kg. Any difference at the bass? I had the old one with detachable speakers but it worked for 2 months, after that it wouldnt pair with the bar.

Does this still have low, med, high settings on the subwoofer? I have the jbl 3.1 and can set subwoofer volume 1-25 I think I hate the low , med , high setting as it probably to little or to much settings on sub.

Me pueden ayudar porque calienta mucho la barra de sonido en la parte de enmedio aún estando apagada ya la cambie y presenta el mismo problema
Maybe your unit has manufacturing defect you can return it just to be safe because ww have the same model its not become hot even always on.
This model dont have upfiring speakers right? Its Atmos Virtual ?
Yes no upfiring only side firing..atmos and multibeam..😊

Hello, which one is better between JBL 500 and Sony s700rf?
S700rf is the previous setup of 5.1 surround sound which has 2 tower rear speaker with the connection of wiring you will feel more the separation which is 5.1ch but not dolby atmos,with 1000watts total power output..bar 500 is the latest design of sound bar which dolby atmos effects virtual surround using multibeam with 590 watts total no more wire connection..both are good when it comes to cinematic experience..😊😊
