I wasnt planning on getting this sound bar, but someone local to me sold it brand new in box for $160. There was no way I could pass it up... So far it seems very nice compared to just my TV speaker
yes soundbars work with optical on a pc, I actually have a magnifi mini connected to my home pc and have not had any issues, just make sure the dimensions work. And thanks for the feedback! If you do end up picking one up make sure to email me youtube@walts.com and ill send you a coupon code!
How would you compare this to the klipsch cinema 600 with a 10 inch subwoofer, my dad has it and it sounds amazing and rattles the windows with that booming subwoofer, just haven’t had a chance to hear this one in person
@ashish_2311@@WaltsTV i went into the store looking at both, clarity wise and real Dolby go for the Samsung (JBL has no upfiring speakers), Bass i like the JBL more. i did get the JBL500 because i had a really good deal for 310 euro and the q800c is still 550+ in the Netherlands, so for me it was a no brainer.
I found listening to music really good BUT tv audio via eArc sucks. My old Marshall Stanmore II is better when watching TV. Any recommended set up or EQ settings that will make it better?
"10 inches is more than generous" Bro I was drinking hot coffee as soon as you said that and it took everything in me to not spit it out all over my sh*tty sounding TV lol
I belive you can but you really have alot of control in the app so I would make sure you have that setup. And as far s the 2.1 no this soundbar is better than that for sure.
Hey man, I just bought one but I'm not sure how I will connect it to my PC, I don't have optical but I have a HDMI available on my GPU and Motherboard, do you k|now itf it will work or how would you connect it to take advantage of dolby?
So HDMI I know wont work with your graphics card, the motherboard might work but I am not sure about dolby. I would search reddit see what other people have done... Have you looked at any adapters?
@@WaltsTV Saw this, Soundbar is connected via hdmi to my pc and it works but with one small annoying issue. The soundbar is seen as another screen and sometimes content gets sent to display on that screen which is not there. You can't disable the screen in settings as you lose sound capability. Other than that it plays dolby atmos/dts x fine. I would only connect the soundbar to PC via hdmi if it has dolby atmos/7.1 capability otherwise connect it via optical/toslink. less hassle.

You can't go wrong with that deal!
Seems very nice? This should be 1 trillion times better than your tv speakers
damn! that's a steal considering the black friday week deals on amazon are $350 lol
Will this work with a PC via Optical out? I'm looking to free up desk space with a soundbar vs bookshelf speakers? Great video BTW!

Simplistic doesn’t mean what you think it means 👍

honestly they both sound pretty good, this is pretty much the same in terms of power
Jbl 500 or Samsung q800c ?? which one to go for? Looking for great music and cinematic experience
Thats tough, if you have a samsung tv I would go with the Q800C, but if you dont probably the bar 500!

Nice video, nice quality and nice colors
Nice comment! Thanks for the feedback!
Can we add on rear surround speakers to jbl bar 500 for better virtual sound ?
I dont belive so, the best bet would be the bar 1000

depends on what your watching
Like video, keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
Awesome review thanks. I suggest you to use Brazilian phonk music to test future sound bars. I just bought mine, I’ll come later with my opinion
I will give that a wirll next time. Thanks for the feedback!

well I am glad you didn't! And yes 10 inches for this is very generous!
Can it be set only for stereo mode, to be 2.1 for music?
And is it better than 2.1 deep bas for music listening?

i want buy this month soundbar which better jbl 500 or sonos gen 2?
max place i set front tv between 5 and 6 meter?
Both are good, this comes with a subwoofer.
@@WaltsTVwhich good for movies?
I was recommended
Lg s9c
Is it worth it ?
SC9 will sound better than this, but this will have more bass so it depends on how your going to use it.
And spq8-s back speakers
Can I add to have more effective sound ?
hii, what would you prefer, the samsung hw q930c or this soundbar, jbl bar500?
930 is going to sound better but if you in a small room this is going to do just fine!
I have an LG TV recommend this or samsung hw-800c
I would go for the 800C because it has the height channels!
thank you
Would thinking about bose 600 with boss 500 bass. But found this cheaper?
Not huge on bose so I would go with this! Make sure you check the link in the description.
i have the Sony HT 3000, do you think this out performs it for the money?
yes, simply because it comes with the subwoofer.
JBL is much much better than sony ...Sony can't even compete with JBL

JBL BAR 500 or Sonos Beam Gen 2 for a small bedroom?
Depends, do you already have sonos? If not I would just go with this.
@@WaltsTV Ok.
JBL bar 500 or sony Ht-G700 ?
bar 500
