@@izziboye hopefully we do , but our naira rate will really bump up the price. Anyways let it come first 😂. I started following Ben since his "vivo campaign" here on UA-cam, I think the x60 series.
I guess this thing would be even more amazing with the newest gen mobile CPUs like Ryzen AI 300 series or Intel Core Ultra 200 series, since they are not only quicker, but far more efficient.
60hz screen is not enough for gaming too. This chip can do 200+ fps in some online fps game. Even at aaa game with upsale and frame gen u can get almost 100 fps i belive !
I mean 60hz isnt that bad but 120 still would be better but I dont think wanting a screen that is 120 hz is not right because to make it into this device you have to make the device ultra expencive
I find this channel is consistently ahead of the curve, to the point people annoyingly refuse to believe me when I tell them what's possible today thanks to what I learned here. Keep it up!
Thanks Ben. I appreciate your review. I am bit of a gamer ( i mean started playing playstation one when i was just 8 years old). This is a great device and im pretty surprised at the processing power this has. All in one controller... i think this product is pretty amazing. Im with you on the cable scenario.. if its broken... there goes the idea of a handheld device... very very annoying... the company should reconsider... good feedback. I definitely this is a better idea still than the current gen switch has absolutely no AR/VR support. Sony's Portal is simply just a remote player... so not really console when you think about it. I, however, thought the PS5 prices were high but this seems right up there as well. I do respect the tech it has though. Thanks again.
@@HakuYuki001 Yes, I was 8 when I got a Playstation (one). It was back in 1998. First games I had played on the console was; GranTurismo and Soulblade.
This is awesome, but if the battery drains while it’s plugged in that might be deal breaker for me. I’ll wait for the V2 and see if they improve upon that.
Does it have it's own game launcher like armory crate, Legion Space, and Steam OS? Also, how do you navigate windows without a touchpad or touch screen? Personally, I hate having to use the Ally's thumbsticks to navigate the mouse inputs.
Do you know if you can upgrade the Ram and the HD. I would like to buy the lesser expensive one and if I find I am using it I would just upgrade the ram and HD later but if you cannot I would opt for the higher spec model.
the question is how much is it going to be and the AR glasses way of playing your games doesn't seem a goood way to me. i know a lot of people are going to like the idea i would personally just use a monitor
Hi all, Tecno as of 10/18 has updated their Kickstarter campaign to include a option without the AR Glasses, so you can now select the Controller Compute Unit which is awesome! That makes the entry price at around $539 USD + shipping which is a great price for a portable gaming unit that provides full OS and option to run other OSes, and allows you to select the AR glasses, portable USB-C monitor or external monitor of your choosing which is awesome!!! Great entity point to portable PC gaming!! Okay just spreading the word, since this is great news!!
Is this going to release in 2024 or 2025? I've researched "Tecno" and they are the 9th largest smartphone brand, owning 4% of the market, but they are new to us in the Western World. However, they have VERY affordable foldable phones.
I Love This, I just want the compute unit, and not the glasses since I already have the glasses! Hey Ben, can I please buy this from you please, even though this maybe a pre-release version? I can dm you if it is possible. Thanks bud!
Isn't it better to just use a mini PC box, rather than one with a joystick, With a mini PC box we can use an alternative joystick if it's damaged, just add a touch sensor for navigation on the mini PC box if you want to make it easier to control.
they should cap the tdp to 15 or less as standard.. 20-30 is overkill for a portable.. steam deck is just 15 and you can lower it so easily with 2 clicks.
A modern version of the virtua boy concept? Hahahaha... thats cool. I really liked the idea, I hope it keeps improving. I think the USB connection for the vr glasses should be put on the botton of the controller. And the part that connect with the glasses should be in a Y shape (connecting to both legs of the glasses), so the cable can come from there from a centralized position. In doing that, I think the cable would not come in contact with your arms, which can be a bit of a bother, and also make it possible for your arm to get entangled with the cable. If it comes from the center, that would not happen.
This looks so dope bruh!!! Can't wait to try it! Do you know if they are gonna sell just the controller unit without the glasses? I have Viture Pro XR glasses
The problem with this otherwise great idea and design IS the thumbsticks are not modular and easy to replace. If you get stick drift or it breaks. The whole thing is basically bricked.
can't wait for the vivo x200 pro video... i hope I'm going to be impressed. can't wait to see what vivo has in store for us. After how great x100pro was in ways even beating the ultra version... i really hope 200pro will continue the trend of stepping the camera level in a smartphone to yet unachieved heights
Cool idea but the weak GPU and poor controller will let it down i imagine, in the future when mobile graphics look like todays high end graphics these things will be popular i imagine
This tech puts me to sleep & there is just no way I’m the only one. I’m not saying b/c it’s boring or something. Literally there is something about AR screen technology that triggers actual sleepiness & I can’t use it… unless I take a nap first. It’s not that dissimilar from vr causing motion sickness. Just a warning in advance b/c while I’m not everyone there is no way it’s just me.
This is such a cool idea! Finally, the real Virtual Boy :)
I freakin love the concept
I will get my hands on this!

you didnt mention the price includes glasses or without? because if without its overpriced and not worth it.
Hey i have question about glasses they are the best atm for entertaiment? Did you maybe set steering a crosshair or camera with head movement;)?

Can you also pass through hdmi on the glasses like if you wanted to use your work laptop on it?

hot stick in the true sense.

That permanently attached usb cable was a bad move. I wonder how much they save with it 🤔
It’s probably for battery saving purposes, as battery life is already not great and Bluetooth would drain it faster
@@Camreezyy They could have added a usb c female port so one can replace the cable if needed just like Ben said.
