I'm glad you talked about how they work with glasses. I'm nearsighted and I'm always afraid that I won't be able to enjoy them to the fullest. Great video and I look forward to the next one.
Thank you so much sir for the review. I am leaning toward buying these glasses because this company is not forcing you to buy all these extra dongles and bongos to get some kind of minimal extra effect. I have a Samsung foldable phone with Dex so I think I may pull the trigger on these!
I could see this being amazing for laptop gaming. The big problem I have with laptops is the ergonomics. You gotta look down at a small screen, and often end up hunched over or squinting trying to see it. This solves that completely. Plug it in anywhere and you got a comfortable PC gaming setup.
"... but these RAYNEOs are like a dumb TV, no built in stuff etc" - that's true, but I feel like that misrepresents the competition. The Viture glasses, for example, can be used exactly the same way; just plug it in, and it'll act like a display.
Would be awesome to have, but I think I'll wait for the next one. I can't stand blurry or cut off corners/top. Plus right now I'm investing in a RG Cube 😏
So I suppose you cannot couple those to use head tracking to look around in World of Warcraft or a flight simulator? I think if they could do that I would order them.
I never even considered XR glasses before this video but for some reason you've peaked my interest, I'll see if there's some way I can try them or at least import them to my country (Colombia) since amazon won't ship them directly. Thanks for the new fixation Dweeb!
so you can set the display to be stationary but only on the demo app? you can't do that for the steamdeck for example and the display would wobble with your head? if that is the case it's kind of bad... you have a feature, but you can't use it at all... but more importantly this wobbly display would be bad imo. i haven't tried any of those, but i feel like i would get dizzy by the wobbly display, then i would get used to not moving my head, and this would lead to neck pains if i use it for more than half an hour.
Hey I'm interested in trying an AR glasses. How many virtual monitors can the RayNeo display for productivity use? And is it necessary to get a Beam (or equivalent) to make the virtual screen stay in place? Why can't AR glasses make the virtual screen stay in place without additional hardware?
Have you tried plugging those in a PS3 with a compatible 3D game? I have one of those Avegant Glyph glasses and they just recognise the 3d signal over HDMI.
I wonder what the experience would be with these plugged into a x-real beam pro like with 120 hz forcing it to 120 through the hardware button but then have maybe the functionality of the screen being able to be locked
I am nearsighted, meaning that I see up-close things clearly without prescription lenses. If the projection doo-dads in a pair of XR glasses (or VR headsets for that matter) are right next to my eyeballs, why can't I focus on the image unaided? Shouldn't I be able to ... I don't know ... twist a knob or something? And no, I will not look that up for myself on the internet.
I'm not sure about these XR glasses, but for VR headsets, they use lenses which actually have a fixed focal point. So even though the lenses are really close to your eyes, it's like looking at something that is 1-2 meters away.
How are you supposed to get a picture from devices that don’t support video out over usb c? Like stuff that only has a “hdmi hole”. Also how much does using the glasses affect the steam deck oled’s battery life compared to using the built in display if at all?
I'm getting 4-6 hours on steam deck OLED playing Metaphor Refantazio according to the decks' internal tracker. I think it may be exaggerated, but I think I'm getting better battery since I'm not powering the decks normal big screen.
Ive been on the fence about xr glasses... for one SINGLE reason... i wear glasses and dont want to commit to a pair of these thingers and then have them be uncomfortable to wear over my glasses.. or maybe the included inserts will suck / not be comfortable / not work great... Which of the brands you've tested out works the best for us four eyed folk out there? Love the content dweeb! all the best =D
Your last video said you love the Virtue XR Pro the most, but this video is posted after that. Would you do a video to compare the Virtue XR Pro and this Xreal Air 2s, and which one do you prefer, why? Love your opinions 😃
Reality is: All these glasses are the EXACT SAME. They all use the same 1080p oled screen. They all use the same optic stack solution. They all use the same USBC display port connection. They all have the same amoumt of sensors (none, except for accelerometer). The companies have made different "Portable Android TV" dongles that you can carry around to connect these too. But I would avoid ALL of those. Just connect your phone or steam deck - THATS where these glasses shine. So Just buy any of these "video glasses" that is the cheapest. Rokid Max can be had for around 200 in offers for example. Thats a good deal. Or go for the looks. Or try 2-3 of them and go for the fit on your face. Its really a pretty big "scam" with these glasses. XReal has multiple of these glasses. But in terms of tech thats inside - all models are exactly the same. They just hike the prices up and up. Even though Xreal Pro or Xreal 2 - they all still have the same 1080p oled scrren, no SOC on board, no sensors and still the same optic stack. So be aware of that.
I bought a pair of XR glasses and they hurt my nose. A lot of XR glass enjoyers seem to be people who already IRL wear glasses, so I'm thinking having pre-existing nose bridge conditioning is going to effect a person's enjoyment of the product.
How do these work with retro game devices with 4:3 displays? Do you get black bars? Is it still a good experience? Would have loved to see some testing :/
I've also used these with the RG Cube and an interesting thing happens with the 1:1 screen output. While you can choose to output 16:9 with the cube using desktop mode, 4:3 games look great on the 1:1 output to the glasses (if you keep it that way) because the screen doesn't expand to the edges, so you don't get that screen blurriness near the edges of the glasses using the RGCube playing SNES for example.
@@cappnplanetcappnplanet3237 Thanks that kind of answers my question. The RG cube does have a 1:1 tho not quite the same as 4:3…I imagine it’s probably similar tho? Not the “full imax” experience but still a great OLED picture albeit “windowed”. Perhaps it’s worth it to order via Amazon and see what I think…
@@keatonlovlyn2848 more specifically, the 4:3 looks great. I really enjoy playing Pilotwings for SNES on them using the Odin 2. Everything looks vibrant and it's really immersive.
Adin Walls will be so glad to have an AR glasses buddy! Zu had some new ones this week that looks to solve the blurry edges problem (but I think were way more expensive) if you get sent those
I've just started looking into these kinds of glasses. I'm farsighted so I usually need readers to see things up close. That is the only problem and question I have regarding these...
Hey, Dweeb (or anyone else with reliable info), I have I weird question. 😅 I have a unique use case, I clean an office building, and I have a pair of original nreal (before the switch to xreal, I'm og. 😉) glasses. I use them to (no lie 😁) watch anime while I'm working. I need to be able to see well, still, though. So I just ripped the sunglass lenses right off and have only the prisms left. It actually works great. So, my weird question, does it look like you can remove - through whatever non total destructive method possible - the sunglasses? I'm looking to upgrade, and these look pretty nice. Thanks for any help. 👍😁
I hope you're able to keep these for this glowing review. They're still pretty POS. Edges are blurry and I can't see the entire screen at the same time. When they increase the FOV, it might be worth it. For the time being, I'll stick with my Quest 3.
I had the air 2. A hair or wire got inside the screen and it became useless. Bought another xreal air2. My first one bricked btw, spent a fortune already.
I want hdmi to hdmi inputs... no, wait... I want quantum 12k xr glasses with screen position hold and is powered by emotions 🌈☁💀⚡👾😹; yeah this; review this please
Still hard to justify for the price. I hope someday we see things like this for half the cost. Just hard to consider for recreation only. Maybe if I travelled a lot it would be worth it.
i wont be buying glasses like these until they have tracking and can do 3d. Seems like the built in app that these have shows its entirely possible, so i have no idea why they cant make these do both tracking and 3d.... weird.
I would love to know how email email chain for this product went😂 .."so you know a big part of my channel is me not showing my face right...right???"
Even though you don't show your face I see a lot of value when you get these products because you use glasses and can make a great review

Compared to viture xr pro is the display quality better or wose?
Also viture had myopia adjustments so is that better than using prescription lenses
If Rayneo made these in black and orange, Dweeb might actually show his face wearing them 😂

I've fallen in love with XR glasses, these look like a lot of fun! Great review Dweebs, loved those panning shots of you playing in the dark room!
Anyone else notice the face reveal at 10:51 tech dweeb looks like a generic model in a glasses commercial. No wonder he's usually hiding it.
You caught me!
How do these compare to the virtue pro xr?
The question is, is it better than the cheaper Xreal Air 1?
I found that VR glass thanks to your video and grab it on Amazon. Thanks!

Hey Tech Dweeb… do any of these XR glasses have a diopter in them so you can adjust the focus?
Viture does. The Rayneo air2S no
Friend told me to get these for music production. Though I will not want to use the volume on the glasses. Rather use my more expensive headphones.

You’d be surprised that whatever you throw at them it will be pretty clear , I have the air2 but ordered now the air2s and the portable tv 😊

Why is it so hard to make/find a pair of XR Glasses that actually pin the screen in a location while gaming?! Any recommendations, folks?
what game is that at 11:17

I would try them out if they were at least 4k. 1080 on a 201" screen doesn't tickle my fancy.
They don’t tell you that a lot of those monitor glasses are unplayable with video games.
That hasn't been my experience. In what way?
