The vast majority of psychologists are female and 10% of all psychiatrists are LGBT. The whole profession is viewed through the lens of women, and many times a feminist perspective, so maybe men’s interests and perspectives are not properly understood or fully considered

Why do you think so many young men want nothing to do with society as it brings them no benefit?
Even before my failed Health as a former Mechanical & electrical fabrication engineer everyone made outlandish demands on me which the rewards never justified the effort which I had no benefits but at least I was not disadvantaged beside the endless bureaucratic red tape present today.
Labours, concrete layers & rail workers which I was all 3 for a time have no benefits put in working conditions that no one wants to do.
Eventually society will collapse like Sparta & the women caused that!
Why would warriors defend an elite oligarchy of women let alone the Helots that broke free & did unspeakable things to those women once the warriors abandoned the city for a land were they might be appreciated to gain a fortune-place in life?
Feminism has never worked & nor would it ever.
Imagine if men did the same as masculinists?
They would be laughed out of the room rightfully so but we do not do it to women who are the most privileged of society yet don't even know it!
In Victorian Britain the average life span of men was 7 as children were sent down into mines, up into chimneys or into the factories to operate industrial machinery.
If they lived to majority often becoming soldiers.
Girls were seamstresses, loo, worker or other jobs they could sit on their back sides just as they do know in offices.
Being a man that forged metal since infancy with my elders that made his 1st tools at 6 I do not consider women my equal but punters that complain as they take from the labours of men now & before them.
When women are sent in the Trench's the same as my elders from my father to the Great & Great Great grand male elders of ww1 & 2 then I will see them as our peers.
Mean time I hear many demands & nothing in exchange without any appreciation.
Man built society & we can do it again.
At this point I will sit back for it all to fall & from the ruins then we men can rebuild it!
Men can live with very little.
Look at the amount of single men that just have a chair, bed & a tv.
Even myself as former survival instructor I can live with nothing though a knife makes matters considerably easier.
without men most women could not even nap flint much less forge iron or anything of real consequence from western men!
This is not sexism but reality!
I'd enjoy a partner i consider my equal but honestly they treated me more like a father or free labour then a partner.
4.5% of only male marriage end in divorce while all women is over 13%.
      Traditional/unisex =7.5% roughly.
Even women don't want to live with women.
      Food for thought!

I have a STEM masters degree and worked in tech. Believe me, the scales are massively tipped in favor of women at that level too. It's not just the working class men. Feminists, their allies and even neutral parties are blind to this.
Even when speaking on behalf of men, the condescension is right there. Here, the inference is that men without a college degree are uneducated and cannot handle the information world. There is this overarching assumption that men without college degrees are somehow inferior. Also, what passes for "education" here in the USA is just anti-male indoctrination. I did not hear that addressed at all. I submit that most college degrees in the US are worthless today in terms of the value they provide both the degree holder and society. Feminists worship at the altar of Western secular education.
In fact, this discussion here about men was quickly spun into how things impact girls and women. Discussing issues like this with a feminist is useless. They cannot talk about men's issues without immediately including women's issues into it. It's all zero sum for them. Any advantage for a man is immediately deemed as stolen from a woman.

    • @wellingtonsh1
      @wellingtonsh1 9 днів тому

It is the Marxist mentality within feminism. But that's not the case with Hoffsumers. Even though she thinks in terms of women, she understands reality more as a natural order and that harming men is harming women, just as abolitionists claimed that slavery made southern elites poorer than northern elites and harmed society as a whole. , including white people.

When I was in school getting my CS degree, we had a guest speaker, a young woman working in SW engineering for Microsoft. One of the things she said was, "we are proud that 20% of our SW engineers are women, but there is still work to do." I pointed out that this is highly problematic, since only 7% of CS majors (at the time) were women, and asked if that meant that they were preferential to women. "Of course not, we are equal opportunity, blah blah blah, cope cope cope", yes they were preferentially hiring women.
But there is something else even more insidious going on here. Microsoft, is a big company with deep pockets, so they can offer 10,000 SW engineering jobs to women, starting at 150k+ a year, and of course those women are going to take those jobs and pad Microsoft's demographics. So now what about all the other companies who are being scrutinized through the lens of demographics? A smaller company doesn't have that many openings, and they probably aren't offering boatloads of money, and they really need good talent. But all the good, talented women were hired by Microsoft, Google, Facebook, at crazy rates! So now those other companies are basically forced to hire men, (remember they can't afford low performing engineers) and now Microsoft, Google, and Facebook can turn around and say "Look at how progressive we are, we hire women at 4 times the rate of these other companies, aren't we special!?"

I don’t know about America, however in Australia roughly three times as much is spent on women’s health compared to men’s health. Yet over 90% of deaths and injuries in the workplace are suffered by men. Four times as much is spent on social services and housing for women, yet homeless men outnumber the women by over twenty to one. Yes men have privileges, but the vast majority of men are viewed as of far inferior value compared to women.

    ⚠️Correction ⚠️:
There is no wage Gap. What is referred to as "the wage Gap" it's not controlled for actually equal comparisons. Something called the "controlled wage Gap" explicitly looks at comparisons between both men and women of equal work, experience, education, etc etc... and the controlled wage gap... Doesn't really exist.
Uncontrolled wage Gap (which is primarily due to simply not working as many hours): Women earn $0.83 to the dollar a man earns.
Controlled wage Gap: Women earn $0.99 cents to the dollar a man earns.
(In most, but not all cases it's exactly $1 to $1. In some cases women earn more, but averaged out it's about $0.99 to $1)
The gender wage Gap has mostly been political rhetoric, as opposed to the truth.

Poor girls worked, the single daughters and maiden aunts of the middle class started taking the jobs of the poor girls when they left the family homes for city life apartments in the 1920s.
"Up to this time girls of the middle classes who had wanted to “do something” had been largely restricted to school-teaching, social-service work, nursing, stenography, and clerical work in business houses. But now they poured out of the schools and colleges into all manner of new occupations. ......
"In 1920 the department store was in the mind of the average college girl a rather bourgeois institution which employed “poor shop girls”; by the end of the decade college girls were standing in line for openings in the misses’ sports-wear department and even selling behind the counter in the hope that some day fortune might smile upon them and make them buyers or stylists." --‘Only Yesterday An Informal History Of The Nineteen Twenties’, Frederick Lewis Allen (1931)

The point is that psychology is now 95% women who are graduating and all the stuff they learn is focused on women. They see being male as a disorder to be fixed. And they use techniques that work for women, completely ignoring men being different (Blank Slate theory and the whole thing is a society construct that is learned). While it is clear that men and women process emotions differently, men and women learn differently. And if only men would do it the way women do then that would solve everything (Square peg in round hole).
Thus they say men are broken. This is completely wrong, disrespectful and toxic towards men. It has caused massive damage to young boys and men. And there is 100 Billion dollar industry behind this with all these incentives backing it up - focus on women and women first and women are perfect.
This is why men have dropped out and left quietly. There is no place for men now other than under the feet of women. More and more men are and will keep leaving the West to where they are valued as people.

The trouble is the women do not adore men - many despise us - most of all the feminists - who strangely also suffer from some form of male envy. If they cared about men they would care about male suicide, the poor performance of boys in school etc. The feminists have trained women to look at men as oppressors and sexual predators - whilst meanwhile it is the women who are racking up body counts like crazy. Feminism is the ultimate evil - destroying relationships between men and women, which also destroys families, morals and ultimately society.

This crisis intending to make us miserable, will leave us only with our jobs. No sons, no wife, no friends. By severing us more and more from community, the only thing left is work to death. I know I will never retire, own a house, or anything like that. No one will ever look after us, and those who say that will, are lying. Stop all the "no kid left behind" and "zero tolerance" stuff and actually do whats best for everyone.
Sort the kids by learn speed so that the smart ones can blaze ahead while the ones that need more help can get enough time.
Teach boys and girls according to how their gender learns best instead of forcing everyone into the girls class.

This is what bothers me the most, it's the assumption that the female norm is the healthy baseline for human behavior and interaction. It's just crazy to me that it take so, so much to allow the thought that men aren't 'repressed', 'out of touch' or 'emotionally immature'; but rather that they have an entirely different internal emotional life and it actually serves them pretty well.
Males and females are very different. I had a kid with cancer, these differences were INSANELY useful going through that because my wife and I would never emotionally break down at the same time. One of us was always lucid enough to carry the team through whatever hell that day brought.
Even in the aftermath, I was ok, even proud that I had done my best, done my duty and did good as I could by my kid. She had survivor's guilt (they all did, we knew a lot of families that went through it) to a VERY high degree. I think the main reason you have break ups afterwards is because the emotional aftermath is so incredibly different and it's easy to misread the male's general response as uncaring from her point of view. Especially when she's fighting something herself internally that is SO deeply rooted and difficult.

Feminism is built on the fight for women's rights and you don't get the next generation to keep fighting by talking about all the progress that's been made or the positives in society, no, you keep the fight going by showing the worst of the worst, you keep the fight going by making girls think they're under constant attack and constant threat from all sides, you keep the fight going by making young girls afraid to stop fighting. It's a common mistake a lot of feminists and egalitarians both make. "Feminism is for equality" is 100% true, but it's not the same as egalitarianism. Egalitarianism is the ideal of equal rights for everyone. Feminism is the fight for equal rights in cases where men have more. Feminism isn't against men's rights, but it isn't for them either. That's a critical distinction a lot of people miss. I'm a feminist AND a mens rights advocate. These people and goals are 95% aligned, but both groups are susceptible to fascists that want to scapegoat the other. Remember that what you see on social media, including youtube is designed to make money by making you angry. The fascists and idiots get the spotlight because it makes google, xitter and facebook the most money. The gender war from both sides is funded by huge corporate interests. Almost every dating site is owned by the same billionaires and they're all designed to make people lonely and bitter and poor. They will split every demographic and try to pit people against each other wherever possible to keep their own power secure. All of this is just rich people getting non-rich people to fight each other.

    • @viperstriker4728
      @viperstriker4728 7 днів тому +1

Egalitarianism is bad too. Instead of focusing on making men and women equal, we should look at what each gender wants and just try to improve their lives.
Consider how she instantly said that she would like more female CEOs. Why? Why does the gender of the CEO matter? If men are more prone to having the skills a CEO needs, shouldn't we have more male CEOs? How does it help women as a whole for one individual women to be given a CEO position?
This is what I can't stand about feminism or egalitarianism. Man and women are not classes competing for control of society. A man and women in marriage have far more political goals in common then 2 women at random. But yet everything is treated like "another point for the mans team, guess we don't have equality".

Most people want a well balanced life, a comfy 9-to-5 including myself. This is just a thought, but sometimes as a male, when you talk about issues it feels good in that moment, but you know that it is only temporary. Tomorrow things will just go back to how it was, and you are back in the same place you were at. I think we want something to permanently change in our lives so we can live a better life, and not just talk. For example, if you work 70 hours a week, and on the weekend, you have all of these obligations for your family, to fix things around the house and other chores, then before you know it, it is Monday and your back to another 70-hour work week repeating the same thing in constant exhaustion, physical and mental.

The Sham of Equal Opportunity: The Truth Behind the Push for Group Rights
Activists often claim they seek "equal opportunity," but the reality is far different. Their true aim is the enforcement of group rights and substantive equality, masked in the language of fairness and equal access. This rhetorical sleight of hand allows them to justify policies that prioritize group-based outcomes over individual merit, undermining the very principle of equal opportunity.
For example, feminists advocating for lowered physical fitness standards for women in professions like firefighting argue that they are simply seeking equal opportunity. In truth, they are demanding guaranteed outcomes for women, not equal access to the opportunity to succeed. This shift from equal opportunity to substantive equality is hidden under a guise of fairness but is ultimately about enforcing group-based success, not individual achievement.
Much of the literature supporting these movements deliberately conceals this shift, presenting the demand for group outcomes as though it were simply a quest for equality of opportunity. This results in policies that reward identity over ability, undermining merit-based success. Equal opportunity, in their framing, no longer means the chance to succeed based on effort and qualifications-it means ensuring specific groups achieve predefined outcomes, regardless of performance.
A clear example of how this distortion harms society is the student loan crisis. The ban on intelligence testing-particularly IQ testing-in education and hiring exacerbates the problem. If employers were truly concerned with race, they would test blood, not intelligence. IQ tests, though controversial, are a valid measure of intellectual ability and should be one of many tools to assess potential. Banning such testing forces employers and educational institutions to accept individuals who may not be intellectually prepared, ultimately lowering standards and contributing to poor outcomes.
Another key distortion of equal opportunity is the creation of women’s business centers at publicly funded universities. These centers, designed to benefit women specifically, violate the plain meaning of Title IX, which was meant to ensure equal access to educational opportunities for men and women, not preferential treatment for one group. The push for such centers reflects a broader redefinition of equal opportunity-a shift towards guaranteed outcomes rather than fair access.
This redefinition, however, is undemocratic. There is no diversity exception to the 14th Amendment. The Constitution guarantees equal protection under the law, a principle that has been systematically distorted by judicial decisions that favor group-based policies. The courts have created exceptions and justifications for diversity-based outcomes, even though these policies contradict the plain meaning of the Constitution and democratically passed laws. What’s more, the courts and policymakers seem determined never to define what "diversity" is supposed to look like in practice, leaving the concept vague and open to endless interpretation. This undermines the very foundation of equal protection and the rule of law, allowing for arbitrary and inconsistent application of policies.
When laws are manipulated to favor specific groups, they erode the core democratic value of equal treatment for all. True equality before the law demands a return to meritocracy, where individuals are judged based on their abilities, not their group identity. It means rejecting the notion that diversity must be imposed through quotas or special treatment and returning to the ideal of equal opportunity-where success is determined by effort, ability, and qualifications, not predefined group outcomes.
In conclusion, the push for "equal opportunity" is often a thinly veiled demand for group-based equality. This demand distorts the plain meaning of both the Constitution and democratically enacted laws, undermining the principle of equal protection and paving the way for a legal system that prioritizes group identity over individual merit. If we are to uphold the ideals of fairness and democracy, we must reject policies that impose group rights and return to a system where equal opportunity means equal treatment for all, regardless of race, gender, or other characteristics.

This is an interesting finding about "low-achieving" (in school) men pursuing and succeeding in engineering in college. Of course, the downside is these "low-achieving" men were diluting the the representation of women in PECS.
"In a new study published today in the peer-reviewed research journal, Science, NYU researchers find that this disparity is not caused by higher math or science achievement among men. On the contrary, the scholars found that men with very low high-school GPAs in math and science and very low SAT math scores were choosing these math-intensive majors just as often as women with much higher math and science achievement.
“Physics, engineering and computer science [PECS] fields are differentially attracting and retaining lower-achieving males, resulting in women being underrepresented in these majors but having higher demonstrated STEM competence and academic achievement,” said Joseph R. On a societal level, we have a valuation problem.
(Neither Christ nor Buddha ever owned a Bugatti Tourbillon.)
A great many of our most "successful" members of society are abject failures as human beings.
Status is a social construct. Money is an abstract concept that only exists in the mind of human beings. Corporate ladders, houses and cars do not make a person.
Narcissists, psychopaths and Machiavellian personality disorders cannot in any way be considered "successful" people, no matter what material they gain or how many people they manage to exploit or manipulate.
By looking at their dossiers, Hitler and Pol Pot were "successful" people - power, wealth, land, title, fame, top of their game etc.
If these superficial and impersonal metrics are what we measure human worth by, we're devaluing ourselves by default.
No one who looks at flimsy crap as their measure of human worth, will ever be content. That discontented person is doomed to be miserable and envious their entire lives. They can only ever need more of what can never be enough.
That works for relationships just as it applies to material possession.

I do not want my kids to be taught a moral code or moral compass at school, they can learn about philosophy and history and develop a moral compass themselves with lessons from experience and life. I want them to be taught how to count, read, write, sciences, technology, art, music and also home economics. I do not want them morally programed, they learn morals from life experience, making mistakes, excelling at things and the right kind of tuition. Some people never develop a moral compass, this has nothing to do with education, more to do with personality. It is important kids are given guidance in the direction of critical thinking, how to make decisions based on the evidence/information you have or dealing with hard situations. We need to prepare our kids to be as adaptable as possible in a quickly changing World. Some of the most successful people hated school, one even said do not let college or university get in the way of a good education??!! People also learn things and then believe that what they learnt is fact forever, although this will be true at the time facts change with new discoveries and evidence, people need to be aware that even experts are learning. Sometimes a tough life makes adaptable remarkable people, but a tough life can also have the opposite effect. We need to stop interfering with our kids well being and outlook, this is something they should be left to develop themselves, all we can do is guide them a little.

Great opinion here. You include home economics. My mother and her sisters were educated in boarding schools (early 50s) and universities thereafter. They could buy whatever they wanted, but somewhere they all had learned to sew really well and often made their own skirts, Bermuda shorts, cocktail dresses, et c. (I don't remember my grandmother sewing anything.) By the late 1970s, my cohort seemed to think the whole thing was obsolete and silly. But now? I look back and appreciate the brains and skill that it takes to study fabric, cut out a pattern, insert button holes and zippers... and troubleshoot a Singer?? Without the benefit of UA-cam? Good luck. I came to realize that sewing was another feather in the caps of women like my mother who were educated, opinionated, clever, et c...and completely secure in running the house and raising kids.

@@mikenagy938morals, personal standards, attention to detail and being innovative all develop through a combination of personality traits, education and the society you grow up in. Just reading the bible does not imprint morals on people, although our society has christian morlas and values to some degree, most have been corrupted now or lost. A lot of people instinctively know what the right thing to do is, others do not, or will deliberately do the wrong thing because they revell in chaos and mayhem. So, in my opinion, which is formed from my experiences, a basic moral code comes from the individuals own personality traits, society expectations and a bit of education and guidance. Mostly though, most people automatically know right from wrong, whether they follow what they know is right or wrong comes down to personality traits of the individual.
