I have to respectfully disagree with you. The SAS is the granddaddy of counter-terrorism units and they set the standards that others have followed, but the US Special Mission Units of JSOC (SFOD-D and DEVGRU) bypassed UKSF during the GWOT and are now the gold standard. Even the SAS units tasked to JSOC task forces during the Iraq War saw that the Americans were working on a whole another level of "Industrial scale Counter-Terrorism" and leaving the SAS in the dust when it came to launching mission after mission to take down the insurgent networks. Hell the SAS were hamstrung by UK concerns over possible human rights abuses by the Americans and had to stop working with the US on a number of occasions. The Americans began to work more closely with the Australian SASR and even Canadian JTF-2 units because the UKSF was having too many restrictions placed on it by London, to be worth having around at times.

I've always wondered why the SAS wear the gas masks as default. Other SOF such as the GIGN and the GSG-9 wear clear face shields, but in games such as CS go and RSS, even videos such as this, they are always shown as wearing gas masks. Anyone know?
They have specific eye guards build in to the gas mask, these greatly reduce the effects of a flash-bang/concussion grenades; The SAS use these types of grenades on every mission of counterterrorism. With these they're able to make use of them in a swift attack.
"And the black kit is not in use at all by tier 1 team"....OK, so when did UK- SAS decommission their black attire?... I will soon be meeting up with a long serving SAS friend for a beer again so if you can tell me that info I can check with him if its true.>

Beau Long mm your a idiot and im not british lol. SAS has 3 teams mountain amphibious and air. If you actually read what i said you would of known that. Also cool story about operating on a globe scale its not like every single set of decent SF in the world does the exact same thing lol. thats really cool how the navy seals are good in water wouldnt be much of a SF if they couldnt swim. Also you are right they were formed by that particular president in 1942 in responce to the attack on pearl harbour. Its a good thing to that you finally made a group with some degree of intelligence considering the monumental fuck up pearl harbour was. Also if you actually read the history youll find the SAS was founded in 1941 and was originally regiment from the LRDG again if you read my post you would of known that. in 1947 it was then turned into a territorial army and in 1950 was redesigned into a corps. Also your navy seals it was originally founded by a ex member of the british SAS His name is Sergeant Thomas L. Curtis he was selected from the Observer Group and was sent to the United Kingdom to train with the British Royal Marines (guys that become the SAS) and subsequently was transferred to Office of Strategic Services (precursor to the Central Intelligence Agency).. Not sure if your a troll but meh someone has to teach you inbred american hicks your own history considering you dont seem to know it to well. @@nonautemrexchristus5637 he was a father, he was a man, he was 99.99% of all the people that played COD aspired to be. and none of them came close.
Excellent lesson and demonstration thank you very much publisher
Salute John Mac, Paul Mac and the late Mel Parry. Real inspiring figures and true heroes
It's incredible to think one of my teachers at college was part of the SAS team on the Iranian embassy!
Wow , can you tell us a bit more about him, cheers.

You come face to face with these guys.. Your life is measured in seconds

I love the music they made for this video, I wish I could get it to play warzone.
34.40 unofficial SAS rule, never put down that cup of tea.
SAS really deserves respect, bloody chaps :D
Cheers lads, all the way from Texas.
Uvalde could have used these guys instead of those shit cops.
The SAS are ridiculous hard, motivated, and intelligent bastards with a drive for perfection. I’m a US Marine and I’m always in awe of their speed and skill in close quarter. These dudes radiate intensity and piss pure testosterone
Yeah an armchair marine I bet.
ethan95 91 Way to troll bud. Get off on insulting people?
I wonder if the people who make these type programs have ever thought, 'What if the bad guy watches these to implement our training methods?".
They do still wear the black kit, when it calls for it.
They wear pretty much anything for every scenario. dont be dumb
There are several recent photos of uksf in black kit.
+432fuuzz because you know what you're talking about.
"And the black kit is not in use at all by tier 1 team"....OK, so when did UK- SAS decommission their black attire?...
I will soon be meeting up with a long serving SAS friend for a beer again so if you can tell me that info I can check with him if its true.>
My dream is to go in the SAS and I'm proud to be Scottish

Is it true that those S.A.S Gas masks have special eye gaurds to have better resistance to flashbangs and concusion grenades
Yea its true, he says
Every CS fan!! This is how to use the AWP (L96). No quick-scope, jump change weapon and back to fast reload. You can't do this in real life.
I think you mean cod?
SongsAndMixes No.. i mean CS.. but of course Cod is same thing.
Jani Commander you can't quickscope in cs lol.
SongsAndMixes I don't care :D You can prees fast right mouse button and shoot, and jump, of course before you jump, change pistol, or knife, to "faster" jump, and shorter reolad time. I really want to see somebody, when he do this in real life :D
Jani Commander I can!!!11 Im part of Fazee!!!
Heros, thank yous for sharing your life's work...
No one can compete with the SAS fearless and efficient
Hmmm, I heard the SAS commander at 43:50 refer to the terrorist as an "x-ray" ... In the U.S. I've heard them referred to as "tangos".

We dont think we are the best we know we are
Beau Long typical american lol. thats very patriotic of you to say. You do realise that your navy seals are based off the SAS right? you are aware that when they have a problem they cant solve they go to the SAS right? you do realise that they based their training off what the SAS do right? you might wanna research the topic before u talk about that patriotic BS
.
If you like ill even give you references to prove your stupid american ass wrong
.
Beau Long John f. Kennedy in the second world war??????
This isnt the killing house anymore, this is real life
I wish my country has SAS,In my country it took them 4 hours to arrived at scene..
Quick and efficient, that’s how we do it.
Mumbai seige??
this was filmed in crick howl and abergavenny
They're giving away the obvious info, that the enemies already know. They will never give out the real secrets.
