Very interesting video. However, at 11:55, after having been instructed on the absolute importance of silence and using hand-signals in the field, the soldier is using hand-signals while operating a GPS device that 'beeps' with every button push. I know it's just a demo, but ironic, no?
I am also skeptical of a special forces unit using GPS to determine their location. Using any such devices would almost certainly risk detection by enemy SIGINT forces.

who lies and puts his prison number in his air gun cace
when did NATO/US Win a war…..?
When did anyone attack the U.S/NATO?
Since when would the SAS use an M16A1 rifle ?. They're pretty much the worst "new" ARs .
Even the ColtM4 is better. The M16A1 was made cheap and massproduced for Vietnam
and prone to jamming with by the slightest dirt, and it's been said the poor quality of the rifle
cost many marines their lives.
Walter mitty
Barry Davies is no walt
Probably talking about Crossley!
Imagine how many Russian soldiers are watching this after being blown up or ditched
oh my god how is this genuinely informative but also nazis with AKs
They could be east german but their uniforms do not totally match up.

Fake hahaha The cam cream application is all wrong. Great actors terrible sas though.
some of the are ex SAS
@@phililpb Yeah? Who? Aside from the one who obviously got paid fifty times what the rest of them were paid just for showing his face and adding a thin veneer of credibility to it.
@@synchc barry davies was exSAS. but you are probably right but it is a TV show. SAS soliders spend a lot of there time training doing long forced marches. rehearsing tactics over and over. sat in OPs for days and weeks at a time. it is hard grueling work that is not very exiting to watch. TV likes just to consentrate on the shooty bit
@@phililpb I get that but let's not attach any more providence to this than it deserves.
Read the comments; some of these people actually believe this is something to do with the SAS. There's kids here that are criticizing the "SAS" for not using silencers!
In fact all it is is another cheap cash in on the name. A name that, IMO, shouldn't have been publicized in the first place and certainly shouldn't be glamourized.
No disrespect meant to Mr Davies (I'm no one special, never served in any of the forces) but a) he knew the score going in and b) this wasn't a good project to get attached to.
The book is better
God, the bloody awful "music"!!!!!!!
Again how ironic.
