Holy moly Ame has improved SO MUCH in only a handful of years. So often "talent" in something is about practice, repetition, dedication, and patience. Singing is a skill that can be learned, and the voice is a muscle that can be trained. So proud of this gremlin.

I remember when Ame kept most of her karaokes behind memberships. Then she built up confidence and just had fun doing karaokes publicly. After that, her singing started to bloom. She started adding vibratos here and there and hit some really high up up up notes in some pretty difficult songs. It's crazy to hear it all side by side like this! My oshi be a hard working detective~
As a musician, it's actually very heartwarming to see these vtubers developing their singing voices. I hope they inspire others and help more people realize that singing isn't just a talent but a skill that can be developed.

great worldview and all, but one cannot deny that there are actual talents that showed improvements within a few sessions as opposed to the grind that ame did. some people simply have better talent on some things and that cannot be denied.

It's been such a journey with Ame. Whether it be her innovative stream contributions or her journey to her voice improvement,I genuinely couldn't be happier or more proud of her. That's my oshi right there.

Ame's time in Hololive is so amazing. From a tiny apartment in a shady part of the city to a lovely new office with dedicated 3D studio, aquariums, and all the personal improvement on top. So very happy for her. I am glad to support her!
It always made me sad when she’d be shy to sing. I’m glad she’s opening up more 💛 I’d also love when Gura or other members would tell her to stop/knock it off/ not be discouraged. That support can help a lot when you feel that way. I love myth.

From a gremlin to an Idol, what a great evolution by this detective 💛
While I love how good she's gotten over the years, I have a soft spot for Ame's old singing. I loved how bad her singing was back then, it was a huge part of the appeal of why I became a Teamate: tuning in to her karaokes for the offkey singing, for the voice cracks, forgotten lyrics, etc.
I occasionally relisten to songs from her first few karaokes when I need healing.
The old singing feels like a nice refreshing break from the always perfect idol image. It feels like I can just relax and have fun with ame and not worry about it being good or bad
She's still not even close to good tbh.

I've been a singer for 14 years, and I have mad respect for Ame putting herself out there and performing while she's still learning. Sometimes she hits wrong notes or has to change keys on the fly, but she still busts her ass doing hours-long karaoke streams even when she's not happy with her performance. She's made huge strides as a vocalist, and that was only possible because she committed hard and put in the time to get better. Props.
Honestly, this just tells me that when Ame concentrates hard enough (like she seemed to do in that last timeskip), she sounds quite good! It's either that or her singing in a softer tone really helps her out to sound better
I mean that's what singing is, really. There's no such thing as a bad singer or a bad voice. You just gotta find a tone, pitch, voice, or song that fits you

This reminds me of that one moment when Ed Sheeran shared a video of him singing very awfully when he was just starting, it just proves that with enough hard work, you'll be able to improve at anything. I am very happy to see that ame has found her comfortable range of vocal and is making the best of it!
I really enjoyed her singing in the very early days. Something about it was so extremely endearing to me. Of course I'm still extremely proud of her for improving this much 💛
Finally someone made this video. There is also a video about this for Kiryu Coco's karaoke improvement made by JP-niki. This is so beautiful and I feel little emotional right now.
In a way this is even more impressive than hearing the other holomems sing (or rap) that were already good when they started as vtubers. OF COURSE THEY ALSO PRACTICED HARD FOR THAT. But they mostly didn't have to start form scratch with thousands of eyes on them.

I started singing around the time Ame did and was inspired by her. To see her improve over the years is just so motivating
There's some decent improvement in there. The last one for sure, the softer singing definitely helps hide her raspy smoker's voice and is quite pleasant.

I remember back in 2021 she sang a song for her birthday stream I think? that made her feel really self-conscious about her singing, and then she stopped doing public karaokes for a looong while and only did them in member's streams. It's been really nice to see her find her voice and learn to have fun with karaoke😌 Now she loves doing them and goes on for hours and hours, last one fr fr😅 I'm proud of her

This is why I always like watching members like Coco who weren’t the best at singing. You got to watch real improvement, and other than that they just have fun with the singing. Always fun to see them let loose.
I was there when she sang in her first Unarchived Karaoke Stream, I no longer watch Hololive like I used to and now after 3 years, seeing how much Ame’s singing has improved, it puts a proud tear in my eyes. I always respected her for how hard she works and loved her creativity. 💛

There are some people that are just bad, but her; there was something about her voice, she could improve. And I'm glad to see her fulfilling my prophecy. Ame has been practicing and it's paying off big time
Given that she has essentially only improved with youtube videos and hard work, due to all her moving around and the work making it difficult to have time and opportunity to get actual vocal coaching, I'm really proud of how far she has come and every time she is on stage, I am reminded of the inspiration this detective is.

Emotions really came up while watching it. Even back then, her karaoke streams were super entertaining. In a really positive sense. To hear how she got better and better with each karaoke and to notice how Ame sang more confidently and freely over time was and is a really nice feeling as a viewer! I couldn't be more proud of my oshi. 🙏💛

jokes aside, It's amazing seeing how much Ame has improved. She really reminds me of Coco, how she started out being the least "idol" of their group but slowly grew to love singing, frequently doing karaoke and improving as time went on. God bless this talented bri'ish detective.
Hard work is a Giant understatement to describe that girl. Not just singing but everything she has done was to improve herself and the entirety of myth.

That's a good showcase for the power of consistent practice. I'm a little tone deaf and lost hearing in both ears due to explosives, so singing is a little complicated today, but I like doing it still.

You know it’s a crazy improvement when you ditch the karaoke instrumental and play an instrument along with it! Ame is such an inspiration showing what hard work and dedication gets you if you keep at it! Like I’ll be real, her voice singing wise at the start, not the greatest but I’ve heard worse haha. But now? Like GUH that’s called hard work!! And she’ll only keep getting better!!
