I have never watched an Amelia Watson stream. I have never consumed any vtuber content. But three years ago I downloaded OSU and was looking for a skin pack or whatever they're called and randomly downloaded an Amelia Watson pack. This song played whenever I hit pause. I would pause the game after failing some great run or when I just felt overwhelmed and just sink into my chair while this song played. I feel such a range of emotions when I hear this song now
This song is so peaceful, nostalgic and it just fills me with a strange sense of emotion, it's one of those songs that makes you feel like you've heard this before in some other lifetime. It's such a nice and happy piano piece.
It's amazing how much context matters to a piece of music. If Ame didn't leave, this song would be bubbly, lively, happy, but now it's just full of nostalgia and daydreams of what could have been. Hearing about Ame leaving reminded me of an existential dread I realized pretty quick as a kid when my family first got our 2 pet dogs: one day they'll have to leave, and the more I loved them, the more it would hurt. And boy did it hurt like hell, but never once did I regret showering them with love and affection.
This has became my universal bgm to listen to when playing competitive games (mostly World of Tanks). I also use it to keep track of time - when it ends, I know an hour has passed. I usually refer to it like: "Okay, one Amelia piano before going to sleep."

I can imagine myself accidentally listening to this inside some elevator 20 years later and feeling chills down my spine. Then my mind would enter Watson Concoction Mode from the emotional shock.
Listening to this... I can see why the time-travelling detective listens to this constantly. It's simple, but highly effective at calming the mind and letting the person work.

Ame is my favorite Vtuber in general. Her personality, her creativity and perseverance actually inspired me to get out of a rut in my life during the pandemic, which led me to meeting my ex girlfriend. We both love Hololive (her favorite was Pekora) and we'd spend a lot of time just watching Hololive streams together. She broke up with me 4 months ago, and as i was once again in a rut, I just watched Ame during a stream. Her bgm was playing and i felt a bit better. Ame saved my life.
Update: This video pushed me into the rabbit hole, I now watch way too many clips/streams every day and I play a ton of Holocure. Oh and I still love this bgm.

I've been reminiscing so much of the past 4 years lately... and... wow. If you'd have asked me if "Some anime girls are gonna be the reason why you still work hard in life" is in my bingo card I'd have called the police on you because what are you doing in house? Godamn... I didn't expect so much content, fun times, and sad moments when I fell into this rabbit hole. I saw a shark girl and followed her in, not expecting to be enamoured by all the other girls. I think this time travelling detective will always be my favorite however, she's just a huge bright ball of sunshine, a huge cloud of innovation and genius, and overall just a grand ol' time. Hearing that she would be ceasing all appearances I was devastated, and my emotions toppled like a house of cards.
