Vesma P, thank you for this super informative video. My wife is from Philippines, so we are mango fanatics - I have planted lots of mangos, but they always expire right about the 3 month time period - right about how your two month tree looks in this video. Mangoes grow like weeds in Philippines, but I think our desert climate here gets too cold at night after about September for them to thrive here too long.

Thank you! You can leave it inside until you're ready to plant it in soil. Once you plant it, you can keep it in partial sun once it starts growing and move it to full sun later. It depends on your environment. For me, during the summer, the sun can be too intense so I just kept it in partial sun.

First off, great video! This is my second attempt at growing a mango tree. The first time, I followed the exact same steps and my plant grew well initially, pushing out leaves. However, each time new leaves sprouted, the old ones dried up and fell off. Eventually, I noticed the stem turning black. I had been growing it indoors in Canada at a constant 74°F, but I'm thinking maybe the humidity was too low? I suspect I may have overwatered it as well. This time around, I'll be more mindful of the watering schedule. My goal isn't to grow a full tree, but having a mango plant brings a bit of home to me. Any tips to improve my approach this time would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.

@@wildabeast1 did it mold to the point where it started rotting away or could you try to save it by wiping it down with hydrogen peroxide and possibly try again or plant it in soil?
I have one that has a polyembryonic seed. Won't these have one stalk that is an exact replica of the mother plant? Shouldn't this be a high quality plant? After a few days, it has sticky white stuff all over it and the paper towel has brown spots on it. What the hell is this?
Polyembryonic seeds produce clones. So if it was a good mango, I would assume it would be high quality given you're caring for it properly too. The sticky stuff and brown spots sound like mold. If the seed is still good, I would just clean it off and change the paper towel.
@@s1405s was the paper towel too wet? Seeds can mold and rot because there there's too much moisture. I've had it happen before too and when it does i just have to try again with another seed.

Help me how do you know if your seed is moldy does it turn black !??
@@RubiSanchez-pr2dc my seeds had white furry mold on them. If the seed turns black but the plant starts growing, I'm not sure that's bad.
@@vesgardens Okay, thanks.
I have plant a mango
Do you know that mango is one of the fastest fruit to grow
false, mangos can take 8 years to grow
Mangos grow only in warm climates. You must bring it indoors during winter. My
brother keeps his in the garage.

Thanks for information 🥺ℹ️ please ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I'm planing to plant but can't wait for 6 years ..... have mercy u mango 🥭 😌💀
Lol plant it now, time flies!
עשיתי עם 7 זרעים של מנגו בדיוק כמו בסרטון הזרעים השחירו ולא יצא שורש המתנתי מעל חודש
למה לא מצליח לי ?
@@s1405s was the paper towel too wet? Seeds can mold and rot because there there's too much moisture. I've had it happen before too and when it does i just have to try again with another seed.
You forgot to sprinkle cinnamon on it to prevent mold growth
Sounds like a bad idea as fungus is vital to plant health.
@@jamesj8007 mold can and will quickly kill seeds
@@jamesj8007 adult plants maybe but it will quickly kill seeds
Just put that husk in the pot it will sprouted by taking some time
I will get a mango tree if it’s the last thing I do

How was your mango tree?
The mango trees died from the winter freeze. I didn't bring them in smh. I have two other mango trees growing now though!
Didnt work the seed got brown
I've had that happen too.
Show grafting
I don't graft, but if I ever do I'll make a video about it.
PSA to boycott peat moss ✨️
Me waiting 5 years to eat a mango💀
1:39 as long as it is alive and after that it is dead ☠
This method is not applicable in all places and seasons, I just tried it, my mango seeds got spoiled
That's happened to me too. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If you try again, I hope it works, but if not, I hope you find a method that works best for you.
