I been watching The Braxtons for years and they have tried several different life coaches and high profile preachers...TD JAKES and it seems no one can help them , the truth is this was about the MONEY......Their parents aren’t stupid they know the damage they did, the COVER UP is REAL. It’s very interesting when Tony says she did not like how Tamar acts, I think she probably thinks similar about her mother behaviour, but I think Toni finds it difficult to communicate her disappointment with her parents, to her parents, just like how her other sister could not either. I believe Toni was like a mother to her sisters and almost like a sister to her mother considering the age gap between them is quite close. So to me it feels like Toni has been carrying the emotional weight of the family on her shoulders. This is evident in the fact she was prepared to forego her own career when her sisters were rejected by the record company and ever Toni helping them to get record deals and the reality show. Even though Toni holds the mothering role in the family, her mother still commands her children’s emotional loyalty. personally I think for the family to heal they all have to drop the ‘roles’ they have taken in the family, and reform the family relationships each of them approaching the relationship as there authentic self. I actually feel their father has come a way in his journey and seems to have quite a good relationship with each sister individually and him and Miss E are actually quite nice and respectful to each other when they meet. Each family member needs to reconnect with each other individually also.

When iyanla went off at the end I just wanting Iyanla to say...NOT👏🏾ON👏🏾MY👏🏾WATCH!! Tamar acting like a twitching addict gets on my dame nerves. And the moment the father said what happens in the house stay in the house, just speak volume as to why they are like that.
After watching again I realize Iyanla was not addressing Tamar here. She was addressing all the Braxtons for allowing whatever issues they had with WEtv and/or production's unprofessionalism (and possible bias against black people) to grow and continue. When she addresses Tamar it was to let her know what she said..not that her message was wrong, but her delivery is, and that she allows them (WEtv and production) to exploit her and twist a story with the way she carries herself. Furthermore, the parents are the root of the dysfunction. The funny thing is, I think the father owns and accepts his role in it and only laughs off Ms. E in the episode because he's simply not engaged in the shenanigans with her anymore. Plus he is glad to be in this scenario because he wants someone to finally call her to the floor and get to the root of the issues. It takes two and most certainly the bitterness Ms. E still holds towards that man after 30 odd years..it surely and sorely manifests in each of the sisters in various ways. I really think Toni wasn't too bad a kid growing up, but ever since that record deal their mother took a step back with her (hence some of the foolish decisions and obvious favoritism). With the way they like to sugarcoat and cover shit up.. let me find out that with the apparent various molestations Tamar suffered, that her mother had her 'leave it to God' and never speak of it.
It's a Break down of Communication & that started with the Mom & the Dad. All of the Girls doesn't know how to communicate to each other effectively. So they Never resolve their issues with each other. Then they continue to talk about each other, among each other. I was so disappointed in miss E, she showed how stubborn and controlling she is. She likes to be in charge and the authorative figure, and felt threatened by iyanla. And that's exactly how her daughters act, she set the tone for them not taking the process seriously and that's so unfortunate since she's always saying she wants to see a change.
Before Fix My Life, Iyanla had a reality show called, Starting Over. Towanda was on this show. It was about 5 to 6 women who stayed together in a house and 2 Life Coaches helped them to focus on overcoming the one problem in their life that had stopped them from being successful. The show was on for about 3 seasons. Each season focused on 5 different women. I say this because the Braxtons, all of them, knows just what Iyanla can do for them. From Towanda being on Starting Over, they should know that Iyanla does not put up with any crap. Notice how Iyanla embraced Towanda first each time she hugged the family. Iyanla spent about 1or2weeks with the women who were on that show. Tamar should have known better. She was acting like a spoil brat. Now I love me some Tamar, but she was out of line.
Mrs.Evelyn was the one that really made me mad . Not really she just finally showed her ass and who she truly is . Tamar is Tamar so I don’t expect nothing else but Mrs.E is something else the cover up is real . I hope they get it together

Yes, I agree the show should come to an end. This 2 part season finale is fitting of a series finale. Ever since season 2, me and other viewers have been asking for Iyanla to help the family when Dr Sherry's best was not good enough for their issues.
This was my first time watching the show. I didnt understand why the mother was so overly dismissive and combative with iyanla. Like, ya'll called her! Why was she there if she wasnt open to the process? And the way tamar way acting, had Ronda been there, tamar probably would've talked away with some missing teeth. 👊

They treat Traci different they didn't do Tamar like this when she did her spin-off show Tamar didn't tell them about it right off she had been filming before the sisters even knew.

I feel like they always had deep issues they just tried to hide it when they first aired. The show slowly reveals true feelings that couldn't stay covered.

Your observation is 100% accurate!! Mama Evelyn I can tell she wasn't no walk in the park.. I understand why Mr. Braxton had to go find somebody elsewhere.. not that it made it right but a person got to do what they have to do at times in their lives even in their relationships... I can just tell she treated him with not much respect!! Made him feel less of a man... And she never thought that he would leave her.. And that just totally devastated her world.. I actually feel their father has come a way in his journey and seems to have quite a good relationship with each sister individually and him and Miss E are actually quite nice and respectful to each other when they meet. Each family member needs to reconnect with each other individually also.

@@MusicIsLife-bc3gy IYANLA is very smart and intuitive ... she knew in advance how Tamar performs without words like a toddler (CALL A THING A THING) so that's why she asked Toni why and how she felt about how Tamar acts knowing that it was gonna come up/ show up again OF COURSE IT NEEDED TO BE SPOKEN OF. We all knew that Tamar eventually was gonna try that toddler mess on IYANLA (NOT ON MY WATCH BELOVED). I would also love to hear Iyanla ask Evelyn how she explains and feels about toddler Tamar's non-verbal behavior. Btw I just realized while watching this episode (as it's been said) that Tamar's toddler display is very much like how her Mom behaves. Evelyn would NEVER in my opinion admit to their similarities.

I agree it is a double-edged sword with reality TV. Seems like the Braxtons want to still be in the spotlight plus have money. I saw the episode with Trina and her husband and they probably should never have sat down with Iyanla because they were not ready for her tough love attitude.

Tamar acting like a twitching addict gets on my dame nerves. MS E from the jump knew she didn’t want to be there like iyanla said, she Wore red which is a fighting colour lol. And the moment the father said what happens in the house stay in the house, just speak volume as to why they are like that.
After watching again I realize Iyanla was not addressing Tamar here. She was addressing all the Braxtons for allowing whatever issues they had with WEtv and/or production's unprofessionalism (and possible bias against black people) to grow and continue. When she addresses Tamar it was to let her know what she said..not that her message was wrong, but her delivery is, and that she allows them (WEtv and production) to exploit her and twist a story with the way she carries herself.
Furthermore, the parents are the root of the dysfunction. The funny thing is, I think the father owns and accepts his role in it and only laughs off Ms. E in the episode because he's simply not engaged in the shenanigans with her anymore. Plus he is glad to be in this scenario because he wants someone to finally call her to the floor and get to the root of the issues. It takes two and most certainly the bitterness Ms. E still holds towards that man after 30 odd years..it surely and sorely manifests in each of the sisters in various ways. I really think Toni wasn't too bad a kid growing up, but ever since that record deal their mother took a step back with her (hence some of the foolish decisions and obvious favoritism). With the way they like to sugarcoat and cover shit up.. let me find out that with the apparent various molestations Tamar suffered, that her mother had her 'leave it to God' and never speak of it.

It's a Break down of Communication & that started with the Mom & the Dad. All of the Girls doesn't know how to communicate to each other effectively. So they Never resolve their issues with each other. Then they continue to talk about each other, among each other. I was so disappointed in miss E, she showed how stubborn and controlling she is. She likes to be in charge and the authorative figure, and felt threatened by iyanla. And that's exactly how her daughters act, she set the tone for them not taking the process seriously and that's so unfortunate since she's always saying she wants to see a change.
Before Fix My Life, Iyanla had a reality show called, Starting Over. Towanda was on this show. It was about 5 to 6 women who stayed together in a house and 2 Life Coaches helped them to focus on overcoming the one problem in their life that had stopped them from being successful. The show was on for about 3 seasons. Each season focused on 5 different women. I say this because the Braxtons, all of them, knows just what Iyanla can do for them. From Towanda being on Starting Over, they should know that Iyanla does not put up with any crap. Notice how Iyanla embraced Towanda first each time she hugged the family. Iyanla spent about 1or2weeks with the women who were on that show. Tamar should have known better. She was acting like a spoil brat. Now I love me some Tamar, but she was out of line.

Yes, I agree the show should come to an end. This 2 part season finale is fitting of a series finale. Ever since season 2, me and other viewers have been asking for Iyanla to help the family when Dr Sherry's best was not good enough for their issues.

I been peeped that Tamar act a lot like her mom. They want things their way. Tracy is always treated differently and she's the only one of the sisters that really deal with the dad. Its nit going to change anything unless the mom and Tamar stop the bs. And the dad and Tracy start speaking up.

Ms. E is so bitter it's sad to see the girls act just like their mom she (Ms.E ) is not open to healing she is complacent in how she has dealt with her divorce from Michael Sr. I also think the sisters are upset with Traci because she is close to their dad and his new wife but that's all Traci had Ms. E was with the girls touring if you notice you never see any of them visiting Traci or her son and Kevin Jr has seen how they treat his mom and likely why he didn't want them around. They treat Traci different they didn't do Tamar like this when she did her spin-off show Tamar didn't tell them about it right off she had been filming before the sisters even knew.

I feel like they always had deep issues they just tried to hide it when they first aired. The show slowly reveals true feelings that couldn't stay covered.
All those bobble head movements that Tamar made was ENTIRELY unnecessary. Ms. E clearly doesn’t care about the situation like she say she do, cause her attitude this WHOLE episode proved that. I can not wait for this show to end, because all of this drama between each other is disturbing to watch, and having the cameras on the ALLL THE TIME probably doesn’t help the situation
In the same place. Was a huge, huge fan of the show. Have several seasons on DVD and all. But, the show has ran its course. Once I found out Phaedra and Flavor Flav and New York and all of those random people would be on the show, that was the nail in the coffin for me. It was good while it was good.

Your observation is 100% accurate!! Mama Evelyn I can tell she wasn't no walk in the park.. I understand why Mr. Braxton had to go find somebody elsewhere.. not that it made it right but a person got to do what they have to do at times in their lives even in their relationships... I can just tell she treated him with not much respect!! Made him feel less of a man... And she never thought that he would leave her.. And that just totally devastated her world.. Where she still haven't even recovered from it... That's why she can't even date anybody seemingly..

I love me some Tamar...as a singer. She's so talented. Honestly, I feel like she was the downfall of this show. That personality of hers is so ugly. It's disappointing. As far as Miss Evelyn, she has always thought she knows better. I doubted Iyanla would be able to get through to her. I think it's a shame.
