    I was exhausted just for that 10 mins of TAMAR. I applaud Iyanla for being so calm with her, she’s really a professional.

      Ashley, remember we aren't shown 100% of what was filmed. Tamar said Iyanla brought up something regarding to her being molested, we never saw anything about that in this episode HOWEVER Tamar spoke out after that portion was taped, It is entirely possible by the end of their time with Iyanla things had turned around and that resulted in the finale we saw. There has been alot of speculations prior to the airing of this finale that their time with Iyanla was a pure shit show, maybe what we have seen was through the magic of editing but from what I have seen in this episode, alot of good was done, at this point speculating on what may or may not have happened behind the scenes is useless, what we saw in this episode was a redemption story for everyone

      Krysis Cee useless? Tamar created this whole narrative. She's a liar and a drama queen who is not and has not been held accountable for her abusive, disrespectful behavior. We've seen enough of her antics to not need to see every single second of footage. She's a damn mess

    Ms Evelyn redeemed herself in this episode. She seemed more open to the the process compared to last week. At the end, Tamar seem like she was trying to win best new actress at the NCAAP awards. She was trying her best to squeeze some tears but the tears never came.

      I know I kept trying to be in the moment with her but I wasn't seeing tears, I felt a disconnect. I was wondering was she being genuine. Idk. When she said she needs help I felt that she was finally admitting that she needs mental help. Time will tell if she really is serious about change.

    I can relate to Toni when she said that she loves her family, but she doesn't like them. I love my family, dearly. I'll do anything for them. But if I never saw them for 30 or 40 years, I really wouldn't be bothered. Family does not equal acceptance and friendship. Sometimes, it just feels like you're trapped on an island and you just gotta deal.

      @Bold & Beautiful I truly relate! It feels like I've been a junior parent since 8 and responsible for my brother and baby sister who is a brat like Tamar!!! I declared my Independence 20 years ago about 15 years into my marriage! It's been life changing ever since and they accept and respect that they're my family but I don't have to indulge them, cater to, be a part of their EVERY move, occasion, etc! In fact I have a wonderful husband and now that we're grandparents, we have a full life! That's what reunions are for! I now live by the advice I gave to clients for many years and I NEVER been happier!!!!

      Aint that the dame truth!! sometimes families can be so detrimental to your existence, And hinder any chance of you ever being truly happy. Am planning to slowly distance my self from some family members, and is currently doing therapy on myself, so I can truly feel free from everything. I would hate to bring up any future kids I have with the level of dysfunction I endured and expect them to think its normal.

    • @Aleisha2K5
      @Aleisha2K5 5 років тому +2

      @Bold & Beautiful I live in London, UK and share the same family problems. It took me almost 10 years, to actually get to a breaking point to seek therapy. My main requirement for a therapist was that the person was BLACK and a WOMEN, which has made a difference to how open I am in my sessions. It is important that you can share how you feel and be comfortable to do so without feeling like the person does not understand you culturally. It a nice feeling to just Vent freely (without judgement), whilst understanding the emotional burden and anger you carry as a black woman. It's something that a white therapist (for me) can only sympathise on, but not truly grasps the historical depth it plays in black families and our communities.
      I can understand the resistant to getting a therapist in a small town, as it is really hard to determine what peoples intentions are these days. A therapist has to keep it confidential, similar to how Iyanla had the sisters do the questionnaire, most therapists do that to get a sense of your mental state beforehand. If you agree to continue, you have to sign a legal confidential agreement. whenever and whomever you decide to get (black, white or other) just go with your initiative.

    • @Indiegirl007
      @Indiegirl007 5 років тому +2

      @@XoeCox Think of it this way. If you were dating someone and they kept hurting you emotionally, you wouldn't stay, would you? No matter how much you loved them? It's alot like that. If someone keepa hurting you, and they have no intention of changing their behavior, then you have every right to save yourself and walk away from the situation. Family are people at the end of the day. And people hurt people.

      Yes it is......their mother is something else saying that. Toni has had the burden of carrying them because she was successful first. And I bet u if she didn't help everybody they would have all turned against her. Starting with the mother first. Ms. Eveyln is a hateful woman and u can see it in her face. And I bet she's also been greedy throughout their life. She wants to be high and mighty....... because she feels that it's owed to her and she's entitled. I don't care for her at all.

    There were several break throughs but for me the most important was Ms. E's break through. Ms. E needs her own session with Iyanla. She is living with so much pain and devastation over the betrayal of Michael in their marriage. I also saw the pain and devastation in her face when she made her confession to the family for putting her daughters in the middle of the divorce and controlling their lives. Ms. E looked so hurt. My heart goes out to her and I hope she will now get the help she needs to heal her own wounds. She has suffered long enough. Time to break free Ms. E from that painful betrayal.

Also, Ms. E is miserable and still hurt by what happened. She has to let it go and heal. I don’t care what anyone says, I feel Iyanla is AMAZING at what she does! Her dramatic speech didn't not move me...she was still too extra with not one drop of a tear...eyes wasn't even red. Tamar gave a look at me , I'm a victim feel sorry for me speech ... I believe Tamar sent those tweets before episodes two was completed. Remember she said she walked out because someone revealed that she was molested. Well the walk out happened Tamar left and went and got in the car and she came back in and had a break through the end. I think Tamar has been holding a lot in fora long, long time and Iyanla pulled it out of her well all of them!

    Problem: its not about getting folk "the fuck together". The sooner we learn that they better. I like Iyanla but she can be a bit dramatic and brash herself. I know thats her style but she is so triggering.Tamar is spoiled! We've known that for years. I did like that she finally apologize and was able to verbalize her faults in front of her family. But what I am not getting is why she went online to call Iyanla the devil. It seemed like they ended the session on god terms. What happened?

    • @HtineTEE
      @HtineTEE 5 років тому +13

      KamauATL Yes. She triggers bc most issues in most families comes from people hiding things. She puts it on the table. A psychologist would never. They would take forever to get to the point. They called her so they knew what time it was and came ready to fight HER instead of facing the truth. Tamar ain’t never been called out like that so she probably really does feel like Iyanla is the devil...cause she sees right thru her and ain’t gon tolerate that mouf lol.

    • @Mikkima0203
      @Mikkima0203 5 років тому +6

      The Good Comment exactly! To call Iyanla means you want to get down to it! Like Tamar said she had a different plan and that was to come out of it on top (exonerated). And I think a lot of Iyanla guests think they are gonna manipulate the moment but not on Iyanla WATCH!

    Tamar's defensive behavior is that of a hurting and angered individual who has suppressed so much emotion as a coping mechanism that whenever they are the topic of discussion in regards to their contributions of problematic issues that suppressed emotion emerges. She is in desperate need of not only a reality check but a safe space to express herself without being guarded and then given a heartwarming hug. Love is so necessary to us all

    Exactly but She never had the chance to "grow up". The age her parents or Dad wasnt there physically from working is the age she's stuck at. She was a teenager. Being a Life coach and studying psychology it's easy to see why shes how she is. Plus Braxton said Tamar never got disciplined which is the cause for the effect TODAY!

    My question now is... Was the tweets Tamar sent out during part 1 or part 2 while she was in the car taking a "break"? Because the way this ended, I'm not seeing how she could of felt the same way and she had such a positive break through. After admitting that she came there just to make sure nothing was her fault. Did they go back to their old ways right after and she just blamed her?

But anyone who’s been watching their show knows they have cliques within....Tamar and Mama Traci is totally alone just like Toni on their own island and Trina and Tawanda are the last clique. I am wondering was this all a stunt to get ratings up cause anit nobody checking for the show. Toni never wanted the show but that money got funny but...now she got Birdman and that Cash Money well...what’s left after lil Wayne get the rest of his will she be back on WE TV.
