Beyoncé is definitely the hardest working entertainer of this generation. Her work ethic is incredible. I never really thought about what she has to go through behind the scenes, so it was nice seeing her perfect her craft. I already respected her before, but this made me respect her even more.

I just finished Homecoming and I LOVEEEd every minute of it!! The 4-month (8-month!) process from start to finish behind the scenes, seeing so many black beautiful singers, dancers, the band, the marching band, Les Twins!! Destinys Child reunion and that dance break with Solange was so cuteee!! I wasn’t brave enough to watch it at 3 am so I waited until my next day off from work so I could have NO DISTRACTIONS. I was confused as to why they kept changing colors from yellow to pink but then I got it was both weekends lmao 😂
Girl i thought it was internet provider i turned the tv off went to hulu a couple times asked God what was goin on and then watched somethin else 4a while went back to it and finally watched til the end

You don’t understand how much I felt it in my soul when you were talking about how you wanted to go to Clark-Atlanta University! I dreamed of going there. I was looking up scholarships in my freshman year. My mother didn’t want me leaving Michigan so I just gave up and went to a community college. I now regret not following my dreams. I feel like life for me would be so different. Thank you for sharing that. You never know what you and someone else could have in common.
My college experience was the same Ashley. I went to a private, predominantly white university in TN. My family wanted me to go there. Now I wish I would’ve went to an HBCU. But thankfully I grew up in HBCU culture and I had family and friends who went to HBCUs and I received the HBCU experience that way.

Side note: I too wanted to go to an HBCU (SPELMAN) but like your mom , mine didn't want me going out of state either. THEN I started having serious health problems with my spinal cord that caused Me to have 4 surgeries between the ages of 25-30 and had to complete my degree online. So I share your experience of missing out on the college experience you truly wanted! Thanks for sharing that💙 I'd love to go to graduate school in Chicago though 💜💜
