Btw I'ma city boy I just like saying"y'all's"
My mother would have loved this, she was born in Harlan, KY in 1932. She did not mess around when it came to home and family.
Great song. Fairly accurate from where I’m from. “If you ain’t from here, then you won’t understand”.
Same. - Keith
Fukin A.
Me Buffalo Trace I ain't been able to get in ten f'n years!
Would love to see y’all react to some more Nu Breed! They go so many good ones like Rise Up, and Outlaw Man.
I listened to the song without the distraction of the video. As near as I can figure, they came in the daytime, he ran them off. Then they came back during the night and were "garbage disposed of".
Nu breed came out when I was in high school in 2004. They were hip hop. Like straight hip hop. I haven’t listened to them in like 15 years so it sounds like they’re incorporating a little bit of country rock in their new sound. But that’s like the Florida Georgia line song cruise with nelly… hip hop country rock all thrown in there.
You are confused. Nu breed is a solo artist that’s his rap name Jesse is a solo country artist.. together they have a group called Outlawnation 😂
This song is just what we can take care of are selfs and no one needs to know
This song is awesome the first singer is Jesse Howard the second is Nu Breed they also have a song called little boy and preacher man and house of pain Nu Breed wrote this song in 2020 for his daughter Jesse Howard singing little boy and a preacher Man
I live in Florida and its definitely this way. Great reaction. Like the Jennings guy. He does some work with Tom Macdonald. Fabulous stories. give a listen.
Hell to the yes!!!!
Jesse howard - poor damn truck is a great song. Hes got such a great voice
If pushed to name this song's genre I would say outlaw country. Leaning to southern rock.
There are a few country music genre's and each one has its specifics. The one constant of all of them is the message is country.
I'm on 300 acres southeast tx, guarantee my neighbors would not call police from hearing gun shots, n I know cause we shoot at coyotes at night ..
I like in the beginning, the knock on the door coincides with kick of the bass drum.
My second comment. I think in the beginning of the video, he let them live because that is what the song said.
does anyone think there are two incidents here? It seems like it to me.
I live in Montana and I can promise you that the lock on my front door is for Your protection. Not mine.
Montana and Appalachian mindsets are not far apart on this concept. - Keith
I did not see anyone say it, but Nu Breed is from southern Ohio. This type of music is more hick-hop then country. It has been on my playlist for well over a year. Love it!
Actually Jesse Howard is from Ohio. NuBreed is from Florida
Someone must not know about the recoil of a 12 Guage shotgun. Still trying to figure that one out.
The bulk of training on gauges is around recoil management techniques. The rest tends to be about keeping the thing fed. Because, the actual movement/work with one in a structure is pretty much the same as an M4 or AR, with some minor technique differences in tight spaces. - Keith
There is a sub genre of Country that started within just the last few years that is kind of a mix between Outlaw Country and rap. Another one of Waylon Jennings grandsons Struggle Jennings (Actually he is technically Waylons widow Jessi's Grandson but they considered all the Grandkids theirs)is part of that sub genre. There are more sub genres of Country now than there were way back when. It used to bug me when they tried to mix rap with Country but now it is a separate sub genre so I am ok with some of it. Plus some of them cross over into regular Country and can actually sing Country as well. But they keep it separate.
Struggle is really really good!
I believe that is the problem ... they call it country, but it really isn't. This is a rapper dude trying to countryfy a song. I don't care that they make the music. Hell, every genre of music changes through the years. But, don't call it something it is not. Call it what it is. Why is that so hard for these hip hoppers to understand. I won't call a dog a cat, because it isnt a cat. I won't call that music country, cuz it isn't country. It is a catdog. lol. Does anyone remember that cartoon haha.
@@kati2224 I understand your point, but I think the confusion is country music is a style, not just a sound. You don’t like the way rap sounds, even if it speaks country themes. I believe you don’t like rap because of what society has shown us to be rap’s culture. Country songs sing about drinking, drugs, guns, cheating etc too. Hank Williams Jr. is one of the most famous country singers of all time and he sang about doing cocaine and drinking all the time. If you hate rap because of the message, you should hate country too.
@@kati2224 you mad and nobody said this was country 🤷🏻♀️ it’s in the rock category it’s a rock beat .. jesse has a country voice who cares anyway they don’t have to fit in your box it’s art 🤷🏻♀️
@@katiehall6074 considering the show is called bourbon COUNTRY reacts, how silly of me to think they react to COUNTRY music. But... it IS literally in the about section. Why would I assume it was supposed to be actual country. My bad. 😆
We call that the " master key " 12 Guage Mossberg pistol grip pump. Lol. Trigger discipline!!!! Haha. Funny story, I was breaching a door and the cheap plastic pistol grip broke and the gun smacked me in the lip. Just had a fat lip. Lol hand held is good for breaching.
Highway 55 "little white lines" great country song!!
Getting some Upchurch vibes with this. Country crossed with rap is very popular in the independent artist scene right now. I think it does bring more people towards country, which is good. Upchurch, Adam Calhoun and even Tom Macdonald are the biggest names right now in conservative country rap.
Don't forget about chase Mathews in that conversation he is almost as publicized as Upchurch now.
See, this guy gets it👍
And Nubreed and jesse howard are the biggest named duo above the lacs y’all are late they been on billboard charts a whole year with this song and most songs have charted on iTunes in multiple countries this one stood at number one in rock for a solid year
"Murder On Music Row".
Damn Strait! (And Jackson)! Country music lovers will get that.
This is definitely the kind of stuff he was talking about!
Exactly and this is not who George Jones was asking "Whose gonna fill their shoes"
@@stevebournite184 ain't that the truth! I can only imagine what George, Waylon and Merle would say about this crap that they are trying to pass off as country music.
@@leslie7976 They are not trying to pass this off as Country music. This is rap music from a country perspective. Also considering that one of the biggest names in Country Rap is Waylon's grandson Struggle Jennings who has songs with Waylon's vocals on them I think that Waylon would be okay with it. If Waylon had been as close minded as you we would never have Outlaw Music and we'd be stuck with that snooze worthy sad generic sound that music row still pushes out and that many of y'all keep recommending that these booze bros react to. Even Willie Nelson has recorded a song with Snoop Dogg. I don't believe that any of the artists that you mentioned would mind this music as much as the close minded people telling artists what country is while wishing to hear another Anne Murray snoozer. In their day those had people saying the same thing about them. I guess, like Bocephus sang, they went and broke your family tradition.
It's a small distillery 20 miles from WI Dells there's other distilleries in the area too and one that does wine and whiskey
Yes I waited thank you
I got chocolate coffee flavor for the very end
And I'm a guy who y'all have talked into trying other Bourbons for the most part I've just drank Jim Beam products and a long time ago Jack Daniels products but that got me in some deep trouble lol
And will tease you with more from the area
Hahah, that's some impressive discipline! - Keith
Good reaction guys. Song had a good message. I doubt seriously I'll listen to it again but it was interesting. Oh I thought of an OG that thought of in years Red sovine s o v i n e teddy bear and Lefty Brazil I'm going to hire a wino to decorate our home.
I think it's a genre called hick hop. ( hip hop and country) I just found y'all. Love your vids. Keep on drinking keep on having fun y'all
Good song
They kind of fit in with Upchurch and some of those guys, especially the independent artists these days, who basically bring country attitude but not really country "music." I kind of laughed about the comment from Dustin about this being a radio edit. Ain't a country station going that would play that with all the f bombs and rap.
Interesting reaction, loved yalls discussion. I know people that live that way in Idaho, Texas, Tennessee, Western Maryland and Kentucky, protecting your own aint regional, loved the message in the song, just not the music.
Stand your ground states. Remember when I was young my grandfather was talking to a Sheriff, we had a couple dumb asses try to steal some stuff out of a barn, well my grandfather held them at gun point until the Sheriff's arrived. Well what the Sheriff told em that night I will remember forever, he told him just drag em across the threshold of your door and your good to go lol
@@stevebournite184 Exactly what we were told here in TN back in the early 70s.
... which would be extremely, astonishingly bad legal advice. - Keith
@@stevebournite184 , kinda what we are still told out in the sticks in Georgia lol
"Country must be country wide"
It livens up when you chill it too
We rarely chill our bourbon. We've never chilled one on channel. We thought it was just fine at room temp. - Keith
This is definitely a different type of country! Most call it Hick Hop. You should check out "stand our ground" by Nu Breed.
There from Florida
✨🥃 I'm sitting here drinking my Pappy Van Winkle. So cheers ✨
Lucky you!
Us mountain people protect our own
I love how this devolved into a total gun guy conversation lol. The video does that to me too. I think I saw Ohio on the LP. Its a totally Appalachia song HAHA
It totally is. People outside the hills probably aren't going to understand how close it hits. I spotted that terrain as Hocking Hills region of S. E. Ohio. We've since learned they're from that area, or nearby. - Keith
I had to take a closer look at the plate the first time I watched the music video because I thought it said Missouri
As y'all know that I'm a music nerd and a huge fan of all forms of country music I must confess that I have been a fan of what they call country rap for many years. As for Nu Breed I personally like the much better his song 'Kindness for Weakness' the guitars licks in that one are off the hook and rap bars are on point but he's not top tier in the genre by any means. Country Rap for the most part is just rap music from a country rather than an urban perspective. Some of the artists in this genre also sing country and rock music as well as being rappers. They are just making music that reflects their musical influences and the lifestyle that they live. This is no different than the rock influences and guitar licks you'll hear in contemporary country music or the fusion between rock, country, and Blues found in a Skynyrd or an Allman Bros song. Much of the early country rap was whacked but there are these recent artists that are many levels better. All are independent artists and have obtained huge followings and topped the hip hop charts without a label. Struggle Jennings spent 22 weeks on the hip hop charts just last year with his 'God We Need You Now'. Struggle, along with his best friend Jelly Roll and Ryan Upchurch, all Nashville natives, are the three biggest names in the genre. Jelly Roll was the first Country rapper to be invited to play the Opry,(face tattoos and all) which he did to a standing ovation because of his amazing vocal talent. His song 'Son Of a Sinner' is an excellent country song to react to. He's starting on tour with Shinedown this summer. Him and Struggle represent the outlaw side of southern tap. Ryan Upchurch on the other hand is something else entirely just on the sheer amount of talent that he has. At heart he is just a good old boy but he can sing rock, country and rap and has topped the Billboard charts in each genre. He tears apart other rappers that are foolish enough to disrespect him to shreds with his clever wordplay. Ain't no gangsters want to get owned by Opie Taylor no more these days lol. His cover of Charlie Daniel's 'Simple Man' is as good as the original and his cover of Alice In Chains song 'Nutshell' has, at 77 million, more views than theirs. He's also covered John Denver's 'Country Road's and Garth Brooks 'The Thunder Rolls' and has collaborated with country artists Clay Walker and Luke Combs and Rappers Young Buck and Lil Boosie. Upchurch has produced 17 albums in 9 years and, with just over 300 videos on UA-cam, has accrued over 1.8 billion views(yes I said billion). He is a legitimate country artist and he's also funny as Hell, which is how he first gained his fame and the coin to produce music. His first release, a country song called 'Rolling Stoned' has 111 million views alone. I would highly recommend that you react to that one or his songs 'Real Country' or 'Hollerboys' to hear his country music chops or his newest release 'Necks Too Red' which is A-list country rap. Also you should know that if you react to one of his songs it will not only quickly become your most viewed reaction but you'll likely hear from Ryan himself because he watches all of his reactors and responds to them too, even if they don't like him as long as they are honest. He also has the most loyal fans of every race, gender, and class from 8 to 80 years old, known as the Creeksquad and they will pile on like angry bees to defend him if he is attacked. That kid is probably the most talented artist alive today. He is Dirty Elvis. He said that he is releasing a metal album this year. His rock songs 'Pound Creek Road' and 'Dirty South' go pretty hard so I know his metal album is going to be a huge hit. ✌
Upchurch is a very talented artist
❤💥👏👏👏
The hardest one for me was actually the PBR but driftless Glen is right up the road for me and yeah it was hard I ain't going to lie
I like Nu Breed :) I also low ready short stock my 500 :) Pistol grips on a 12 looks cool but is not functional.
Yeah. Like I said on the vid, I could have a whole channel on that subject alone. I've trained on gauges with literally the best in the country. - Keith
Okay I killed half the bottle and continue to have different flavor show up which is why I've kept testing it over and over and over again
A complex bourbon will do that. - Keith
i aint hear shit, just taking out the trash...i love that
Do preacher Man by Jesse Howard please
I have heard some country rap before, and I just don't feel it with this song. The message was country, but the overall tune, the f bombs used, and the general music wasn't country.
Read me my rights by Brantley Gilbert is a must!!
Not a song I would pick lol but who cares great reaction and for keeping your channel real great stuff guys 👏
Yes it is country but it's underground or outlaw country some of it is really good but don't really get played anywhere. I didn't think you would want it on your channel but others include. Moonshine bandits, the Lacs, savannah dexter and Sarah ross just to name a few. Might wanna check them out if not on channel then maybe off
Y'all should check out country roads by appalachee falls
This is pretty much called Southern rap. like moonshine bandits and Upchurch.
Who?
@@kati2224 Nu Breed is like Southern rap.
@@shaneminnery1257 I stilkl don't know who any of them are. I listen to either classic rock or real country. I know, I need to expand my horizons, but I don't like certain sounds, and rap is one of them.
Except for the Moonshine Bandits aint even from the South they're from Northern California. Although they did get David Allen Coe to record a remix of his song Take This Job And Shove It with them on an album a few years back and if he ain't country they can kiss his...
Theres you three from me hopefully you have the same reaction to them like i do 😂
This is a great song. New age outlaw country.
New age country crap 👍
This was rough to get through 😂
Great reaction, awesome comments..
The 'dont Mess with me', message is fine. I have a 9mm next to my PC, so I'm good with ' the bodies hitting the floor'.
I didnt like the 'thug' vibe I got. So perhaps the delivery bothered me. I like Upchurch and Colt Ford and a few others that do country rap, so it's not the sub genre per se..
IDK, based off this one song, I wouldn't go buy their album, but I might look them up on Utube and see if I liked some of their other music.
I just had a thought... as a Mom, IF I didnt want my son ( at 5 or 6 ) singing along, I didnt listen to it... and with this song, I would not have. I mean he's 31 now, but I have grandchildren to think about.
Again, I'd have to listen to more of the bands music to know if I'd give it a complete pass.
Yeah, dude explicitly stated in the song that he runs with cons. I found that a little cringe myself, but, the sentiment is pretty widespread in certain areas. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts I don't think that this song isn't about defending your home from burglar but defending your country against foreign!
And yes I have taken a small step and yes I taste the Tootsie roll
Wild, right? - Keith
What would you do ? Welcome to my house
I decline to answer this question lest it be used as Exhibit A in my trial. - Keith
I'm not a fan of rap . This isn't country to me, it's some kind of rap. The song reminds me of my dad and it's straight up my son in law in Arkansaa. Great reaction, as always.
It is a genre of music called hick hop which falls under the country music genre same as Colt Ford and Lacs and Ryan Upchurch
It really shouldn't fall under the country genre though.
No it's not. Nobody calls it hick hop but it's detractors. The artists making this music just call it Rap Music and when they release their music it is in the rap/hip hop genre. When he releases a country album or song under the country genre Ryan Upchurch uses his full name while his Rap music is released under the Rap genre and as just Upchurch. Rap music is known for sampling. Run DMC and NWA both sampled heavily from rock songs but nobody considered them Rockers. This music being made by artists mostly from the South reflects those influences but it is in no way sold by them as country music or BS hick hop. Country ain't a state it's a state of mind.
Hey ya'll! Would you check out Cody Jinks Loud and heavy first. Then you will want to hear more. Thanks.
Man I would never step on somebody's property uninvited. You're just asking for it.
(music) or another one bites the dust.
It’s a song on tick-tock
Ok I have watched y'all reaction to the point I drank half of the bottle
LOL! Well, at least it's a darned good bottle! - Keith
Try reacting to Applachee Don everybody's fightin
It’s definitely talk “big” this Is not a radio edit it was written that way
Yeah, we figured that out later in the song. - Keith
And if you notice the little sticker you can only get that at pierces grocery store
It was a special run made for them
We didn't notice that! And we should have, and we should have called it out on the channel. - Keith
Ouch! That one was a hard one to hear and watch. I do not care for part of the message. Yes I agree with protecting your home, but chasing them down and then not cooperating with the police - is SO not country. The violence and language in the video reminded me of gangster rap. Not for me. However, it was something new to me! Thank you guys!
Uhh nope. The others criminal punks left and tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber CAME BACK. He saved the tax payers some money. If they hadn't been there, they wouldn't have won the boobie prize. "Country" getting tired of criminals going free. And law abiding citizens going to jail. We live in a world now when the criminals are protected, it wasn't like this in Waylon's time. As the saying goes, The times they are a changing.
Lol, a radio edit, so the they edit "shit" but say "Fuck" multiple times.. lol
That's called F A and find out
It's not country and won't be played on a country station. This glorifies violence, to a degree..Bragging and threatening violence..No one who has ever killed someone for entering a home, felt bad ass about it...Trust me, I know...Also his comment about "This is my Country..." insinuates this is also directed at a migrant entering our country at the border kind of feel.....Country music is about love, romance, family, trucks, woods, dirt roads, cheating, broken hearts, cowboys, country folks and dancing...Not glorifying violence...I will say, I have stood my ground on several occasions, it's just not appropriate for country stations...
I hope the bourbon was good. Didn't care for the "chip on my shoulder" vibe of the song.
I can understand your feelings and I honor them. However, for myself, I keep 3 loaded pistols in my house all the time. If someone breaks into my house, I know they aren't there for ice cream and cookies. I practice regularly and clean my own weapons. I am old with osteoporosis, knocking me down could effectively end my useful life. The fear of recoil on my old bones is why I don't keep my 12 gauge out. I plan on making them work for me and mine.
If their country they're extremely new cuz I've never heard of them
react to ‘boots’ by hardy!
That's why you get a 12 aow
Bleh. I hate waiting on stamps. - Keith
Hey guys I'm Laura I'm New to ur channel I think u should listen to jellyroll save me and god we need you now
I think y'all's would get a kick outta Rodney Atkins Just cleaning this gun.
Btw I'ma city boy. I just like saying "y'all's"
To me this is not country music on so many levels. It was definitely more rap then anything else. One of the best explanations for it not being country comes from Hank Williams Jr in his song "the f word".
But in the 80s Eddie Rabbitt wasn't considered country by some people who is the forefather to Garth Brooks
David Allen Coe has used the f word and worse going back to the 70's and as a country artist. Hank's warning was to his son and Kid Rock who are themselves not exclusively country artists. Craig Campbell did a country song a few years back called 'Fish' where every verse rhymed with the F word but it wasn't "fish" when he sang about how his girl sure liked to "fish".
It’s a rock beat . Jesse has a country voice . There’s literally 7 mins of singing and 40 seconds of rap 😂😂
So many things with that video especially when it comes to weapons and gun shot wounds. Don't know if you noticed how he was holding the shotgun so close to his face, the fact that the breech was open when he was aiming it (hum) and many many more things so inaccurate in that video. Just poorly produced.
Yeah, largely fantasy from a weapons handling standpoint. - Keith
Hey I'm Laura I'm New to ur channel I think u should listen to jellyroll save me god we need you now
I want to apologize for a disrespectful comment I made on here yesterday. I'm very sorry
This was country living, not country music. I liked it and that dudes bass voice draws you in, but this is "country" rap.
You don't want to go to that house
Just leave them alone
OK guys your reaction was questionable. The guy with the beard got it. The meaning is foreign and domestic violence.
Is a good song but it is definitely not a country song in my opinion
It's not good or country to me. ✌🏻
That ain't country. So tired of rap and hip hop getting mixed with my country.
