Hey Pokemon Champions, what's going on?! It's Champion Blaze here and after the conclusion of Pokemon Journeys main story, we received a special episode known as "The Distant Blue Sky." This episode focuses on Ash meeting a boy named Haruto and learning the shocking truth that he actually passed away from an illness. Through Haruto and his parents, this episode tackles the themes of loss, grief, appreciation and gratitude to deliver a message about Ash leaving the pokemon anime.

I can appreciate the message about dealing with ash leaving. Ive lost alot this decade and i am grateful but i wont go into details. Ive modeled my life after him. I see myself in his shoes all the time

Huh, how very interesting, I think you might be right about the message and if that is the case it’s quite appreciated that they decided to make a Episode like this,
It’s truly going to feel strange to not see Satoshi/Ash as the Protagonist anymore, I am pretty sure most of thought it would never happen, but if this the direction they have decided to go, then I don’t mind, i hope the New Series does well.
Anyway, this was a pretty good Review and Analysis of the Episode, I will look forward to see what you cover Next.

To my mind there is no alternative universe. Is just Ash the main character and there is no need to follow the strict rules of a film’s scenario.If you follow this way there are many contradictions. The small mistakes of the scenario all these years is a part of pokemon's charm and our childhood... For some unorthodox reason to my eyes Αsh cries because knows the sad truth about his father loss. It is like a common secret of Ash and Delia. Delia says ''...had to go somewhere far away..". Delia tries with the hat to give the presence of Ash's dad the same as Haruto. Haruto's story reminds that to Ash and this is a reason that Ash is bursted into tears.
Your comment is the only real explanation of the episode I could find online, not even in videos. Either ppl don't get it, or dont' wanna talk about it?. They understand Attack on Titan but nobody gets pokemon, what the hell. Not even this video mentions this.
Maybe Delia is the only person who can see Ash's father, as Ash is the only person who can see Haruto. And ash cries because has understood this
I’m very confused by this AU. If Ash never traveled with Misty and Brock, would he still be going to all these other regions by himself or is he sticking in Kanto? Secondly, how does Jessie have Wobbuffet already? Let’s say Ash hasn’t went to Johto, where did Wobbuffet come from?
I also wondered if Haruto/Sunny’s story was an allegory for sad fans and if one of the hidden messages is that we too can still feel Pikachu through Ash. I had mixed feelings about that, but I liked the more obvious message about appreciation a lot!
I definitely think it is meant to reflect the sadness fans felt when ash left
I think Ash is all thw time dead , we see 25 years a journey that could be when ash didnt die before his journey...

I don't really blame the US audience, given where this actually happens in the timeline, it's surprising to me that there isn't already Japanese videos on this...
I'm talking to Toby already, but was thinking of having RuffledRowlet spread it as a rumor to begin, and then have Toby do a big reveal later... I wouldn't be surprised if this just doesn't get a US release at all...
