I would totally understand if you asked why the heck I think I'm qualified to make this video 😅I'm not super crazy successful, I don't own a multi-million dollar company, nor do I have years of experience working as a CEO. I'm just a Teen™ who has made money from doing freelance photography and UA-cam. I've learned a few things along the way that can be helpful/motivating to anyone along any step of their journey. They're lessons that extend far beyond business into ALL areas of life.
Being confident, taking leaps of courage, and sticking with the things you start are not just good tips for succeeding in business, but in absolutely anything you do in life.

I recently self published some copies of a poetry book, and I was amazed of all the support I got from sharing the news and stop hiding this project. I even got some interviews for newspapers and TV the day after. These tips are so helpful! surely that’s the way to begin working in whatever it is you want to achieve. I think i failed at the first thing you mentioned 😣 I'm 15 this year and hava been spending 3 months of quarantine writing my novel, for every single day. I'm really proud of myself for being unexpectedly persistent on this goal, i really want to send the final version of the novel to publishers, i don't even care if my book would be accepted or not i just want to work as a novelist/write but damn the most petrified thing is my family finding out about what I'm working on, or even worse, read it. I legit die at the idea of it

I know exactly what you mean - not a novel (how amazing that you have written a novel - that’s awesome) but a YT channel. I’m also the same with singing - I can sing in front of hundreds of people but die if it’s my family. However, I’m gradually getting over myself (!) and (of course) have found out how amazingly supportive my family members are! Good luck with your novel x
Hey! Another writer here, but I'm 20 :) Make sure you watch plenty of videos of how to get published and learn about the different types of publishing (indie, self-publish, and traditional). If you're going the traditional route, you'll need a literary agent to get to publishers. This is mandatory as most publishing houses do not accept random entries. You might already know this, but I want to make sure you get the most out of your efforts! Good luck

The first tip is so true! For the longest time I thought I wasn’t good enough to start my own video business or work for a company. As soon as I found confidence in what I do and realised it’s possible even with zero degree or work experience, I actually got my first client, was invited to join a wedding film team as a video editor and got an internship for a marketing company one month ago :) obviously covid is stopping me from doing much now, but cannot emphasise how much confidence is important! now my next step is to stop hiding my youtube channel from everyone aha
As someone in my mid-twenties this gave me the boost of motivation I needed! I'm guilty of self-sabotage and often feel defeated before I even start something or if I don't see immediate results. So this video was very helpful with re-sparking my inspiration 🙌

Maëlle Schlaefli-beaucaire maybe you can start with some research, look on Instagram, Pinterest look through magazines like vogue and big fashion magazines like that. Watch runway shows that have been published on social media, watch documentaries and interviews on popular fashion idols and models. You can make a scrapbook which on each page has a picture collage of a specific brand or a style. So in brief do research and make boards of inspiration. I ur area has a design class or sewing class enrol in that. Hope this helps😊I forgot to mention start making ur own design and look into the different fabrics and learn about colour theory. What colours work together what patters match which colours. On amazon there are special paper that has a model on it so u can just go ahead and draw ur design.

I deeply resonate with this! I started my photography business the moment I turned 20 last year and it's been really hard to get people to somewhat take me seriously because of my age. Thank you for this talk, hearing a bit about your journey makes me feel more motivated to get thru it :)

This video speaks to me on a personal level. I used to start a Facebook account to promote my arts for commission and get discouraged because it wasn't going as planned. Even though deep down I know all the tips you mentioned, I just didn't believe in it. But you explained them perfectly (and yes, the 'car and traffic' metaphor helps a lot in understanding).
Quarantine at home got me some free time aside from school to invest in my hobbies (I'm learning Korean and practicing guitar now!). I guess I would try again this year! Sorry my English is not that good.

Loved this video so much! I'm not a teen anymore (cries in quarter life crisis) or a business owner, but I felt your advice could still apply to my life. #1 and #5 particularly resonated with me.
I'm basically self employed and have been for ~2 years but I still feel impostor syndrome. It takes a lot of journaling and personal reminders to own my identity more.
And since I work from home already (before quarantine hit), I've had to deal with managing my time without the structure of school/work for a while. It's always tough, but you've re-inspired me to put more intention into controlling my time.

I just realized I still am a teenager, wow, I kinda dismissed it through my hard work on the project. I am starting a business and I think, it's really helpful constantly remind yourself that you're a teen or just don't have all knowledge and experience like people you usually admire. I hated social media, but actually, I was more afraid of failing so your tips are important.Thanks love you
