I've seen Queensryche (pronounced 'Queensrike') three times ( _Rage for Order_ , _Operation: Mindcrime_ , and _Empire_ tours). They really did sound this good live. All five are tremendously gifted, but Geoff Tate was in a class all his own.

Queensrych always sounded great on their albums but their live performances kicked it up a notch every time I saw them live I thought it was better than the record and still my stepdaughters favorite live show

Back in the "day", there was no autotune or dubbing. Musicians and Singers had to be talented to tour and sell albums.

I seen them in 1984 in Dallas Texas. I didn't know much about them a cute girl I was seeing wanted to see them. I was blown away by Geoff's voice he hit a whistle note several times gave me chills. I kept asking myself why can't my band have a singer half as good 😂.. I quickly went home and learned some of there song's. Like "silent lucidity" probably there biggest songs.. great reaction. Our Beautiful influencer❤

Fantastic band (original lineup)! My all time favorite!
Geoff is actually a baritone, but in their first couple of albums ( this was from their first one, "The Warning"), he sang primarily in his higher register. Those high notes were E5's!
Yes, you were right, 1984 no auto tune! They are the real deal! This live performance is very close to the studio recording. I saw them many times and they were, hands down, the best live performers I have ever seen!
Please do more! You won't be disappointed.
      "Anybody Listening?"
ALL of concept album, "Operation:Mindcrime". One continuous story. Highly acclaimed.
      "The Thin Line"
      "Silent Lucidity"
      "Another Rainy Night"
"The Killing Words" MTV Unplugged 1992.
The list could go on and on.
Hope to see more reactions from you!

In 1984 .. I went to a small club with an overlook of the stage . Paid 5 dollars at the door , That night it seemed like Queensryche was my band !! .. They kept on pointing at me probably because of the look on my face . Then it happened . Geoff the singer climbed up during the lead break of this song . Took my hand and stayed with me till the lead was over . It forever changed my life , Read the lyrics . It's a story of heartbreak to triumph .Feeling that all is lost and a memory , Hope .

Geoff Tate was absolutely THE BEST male melodic Metal vocalist ever.
Geoff Tate's Natural vocal range is that of a Baritone (about mid-range if I remember correctly). But due to years of study and training and practice Geoff Tate extended his vocal range up to that of a Tenor.
In his prime Geoff Tate could do the high A, high B, high C, up to the G, and also the E5, and all while still being in normal 'Head-Voice' and NOT in Falsetto.
I don't care what music genre it is, but for a Natural Baritone to do that takes Talent.
    But regardless, great reaction video.
Had a suggestion for another reaction video:
    Bloody Crime by Jag Panzer.
The song is from their album Thane To The Throne, which is actually based on the story/play of Macbeth.
But even if you never do a reaction to that song, again great reaction video.
Oh by the way, you just got a new subscriber.

Geoffrey Tate of Queensryche, Ann Wilson of Heart, the late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, RIP, the late Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, RIP, were students of the late singing coach David Kyle, RIP 🙏 You can notice similar traits when you see Geoffrey Tate and Ann Wilson. Great 👍

She mentions Tate having a high-pitched voice, but he's actually a baritone, which makes his hitting these notes that much more amazing.
