True artists who can sing are precious and rare.
Thank you
I've seen Queensryche (pronounced 'Queensrike') three times ( _Rage for Order_ , _Operation: Mindcrime_ , and _Empire_ tours). They really did sound this good live. All five are tremendously gifted, but Geoff Tate was in a class all his own.
Queensrych always sounded great on their albums but their live performances kicked it up a notch every time I saw them live I thought it was better than the record and still my stepdaughters favorite live show
Queensryche has always excelled live!
100% best band I ever saw live by a country mile
Back in the "day", there was no autotune or dubbing. Musicians and Singers had to be talented to tour and sell albums.
Yeah Geoff is a beast a very versatile singer he's a baritone by the way .
Glad to see you do a song like this love to watch😮
😊
Thanks for the react! 16 years young when this came out, it kept me going through some dark times and to this day. "Take hold of the flame", and take it from there. The very best to you in '24 ✌❤
Yw and thank you as well!
Grew up on Queensryche ( and others like them) and got to see them live several times. Fond memories for sure!
I couldn't wait to watch this Geoff Tate is amazing
Incredible! So much talent
Suite sister mary, eyes Of a stranger, I don't believe in love... Try those by them
@terryconnelly484 thank you & will do!
I seen them in 1984 in Dallas Texas. I didn't know much about them a cute girl I was seeing wanted to see them. I was blown away by Geoff's voice he hit a whistle note several times gave me chills. I kept asking myself why can't my band have a singer half as good 😂.. I quickly went home and learned some of there song's. Like "silent lucidity" probably there biggest songs.. great reaction. Our Beautiful influencer❤
Fantastic band (original lineup)! My all time favorite!
Geoff is actually a baritone, but in their first couple of albums ( this was from their first one, "The Warning"), he sang primarily in his higher register. Those high notes were E5's!
Yes, you were right, 1984 no auto tune! They are the real deal! This live performance is very close to the studio recording. I saw them many times and they were, hands down, the best live performers I have ever seen!
Please do more! You won't be disappointed.
"Anybody Listening?"
ALL of concept album, "Operation:Mindcrime". One continuous story. Highly acclaimed.
"The Thin Line"
"Silent Lucidity"
"Another Rainy Night"
"The Killing Words" MTV Unplugged 1992.
The list could go on and on.
Hope to see more reactions from you!
In 1984 .. I went to a small club with an overlook of the stage . Paid 5 dollars at the door , That night it seemed like Queensryche was my band !! .. They kept on pointing at me probably because of the look on my face . Then it happened . Geoff the singer climbed up during the lead break of this song . Took my hand and stayed with me till the lead was over . It forever changed my life , Read the lyrics . It's a story of heartbreak to triumph .Feeling that all is lost and a memory , Hope .
Oh.... Wow
I'm sure you will enjoy Silent Lucidity. I could suggest a dozen songs but to understand Queensryche's range consider that one next.
🤗Thanks for keeping an open mind all the way back to 1984💎🪞👗👠📿💄🌹🌉❤️♾️
Geoff Tate was absolutely THE BEST male melodic Metal vocalist ever.
Geoff Tate's Natural vocal range is that of a Baritone (about mid-range if I remember correctly). But due to years of study and training and practice Geoff Tate extended his vocal range up to that of a Tenor.
In his prime Geoff Tate could do the high A, high B, high C, up to the G, and also the E5, and all while still being in normal 'Head-Voice' and NOT in Falsetto.
I don't care what music genre it is, but for a Natural Baritone to do that takes Talent.
But regardless, great reaction video.
Had a suggestion for another reaction video:
Bloody Crime by Jag Panzer.
The song is from their album Thane To The Throne, which is actually based on the story/play of Macbeth.
But even if you never do a reaction to that song, again great reaction video.
Oh by the way, you just got a new subscriber.
Thank you so much! I would definitely do more reactions and welcome to the family 😊
It was recorded live and then touched up in the studio. That’s the way they did many live recordings back then.
This song opened the door to the world for me
Geoffrey Tate of Queensryche, Ann Wilson of Heart, the late Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, RIP, the late Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, RIP, were students of the late singing coach David Kyle, RIP 🙏 You can notice similar traits when you see Geoffrey Tate and Ann Wilson. Great 👍
Suggested video 📹: Another Rainy Night 🌙
Rip 🙏🏽. Thank you
For versatility, listen to Silent Lucidity and I don't believe in love. I FRIKKIN LOVE seeing someone hear Geoff for the first time.
She mentions Tate having a high-pitched voice, but he's actually a baritone, which makes his hitting these notes that much more amazing.
The only thing almost as stunning as the band and his voice is your looks. No makeup and you're rocking it, girl.
Awwh thank you 😊
When u loved Queensryche for years and not for likes horns up 🤘🏽
I was just introduced to this band. But they're amazing 🤘🏾
Dang you are absolutely gorgeous 😍😍
Thank you 😊
You are welcome 😘
No auto fake here !!
Now remember this was after the original show and was the encore song.
He actually hit whistle note at one point. Never seen a man do that. I seen them in concert about 1984 myself. Never heard of them but a hot groupie want me to go with her to see them.
Hi, I'm new to your channel. I saw them on that tour. And he sings exactly like that!!! How about anything from operation mindcrime. Same band. Different album. Maybe
Welcome to the family. Hope you stick around for more. Thank you! I will check them out
You should also checkout Helloween with Michael Kiske on vocals. We've got the right live from the UK is a great one to start with.
The difference is ….Talent
U need more rock from the 70s and 80s on ur channel it's where it's at on reaction channels and more view for u
I really do. Any requests?
Coverdale, sammy hagar and tate are my biggest inspiration learn how to sing.baritone that can sing at tenor range and "live" on it.not only sing, but "live" in it.
Queens-(ryche) as in bike
Ok thanks
@@DTSQUAD Operation Mindcrime is my favorite album by them.
To be honest and imo the live version is better than the studio version.
I agree. There are actually several of their songs that I prefer the live versions of. The Lady Wore Black being just one of them.
Seen these guy's in 87' in Portland. Great concert. Great vid little lady. Peace to you from Portland ❤
Proper reaction to that one I'd say.
