When you can go instantly from a low baritone to a sustained E5 note multiple times, you can then refer to yourself as a vocalist. This guy could DO IT BABY.
Their first 4 albums are incredible, nothing like the pop rock they turned into in the 90's. Super tight band. Incredible vocals. They literally sound the same live as on the album, few bands can pull that off.
QUEENSRYCHE fucked a lot of people up when they first came out. It was wow! Even with a jaded Rock audience who had seen a lot of really great bands already. Everyone was talking about them! It was I’m seeing them live as soon as possible. They NEVER disappointed live! One of the cleanest sounding bands ever live. Very high level performance every time!
I was one of only a couple hundred people who attended their first show, talk about being lucky. Seen and met them several times, awesome band awesome people.
I saw Queenryche that summer of 84 in a small club in Baltimore . Five dollars at the door and I found a barstool overlooking the stage . I felt like the whole band was playing just for me . . Geoff climbed up during the lead of Take Hold . Took my hand and stayed with me the entire lead .. This song has been my life's anthem
Queensryche is my favorite band ever. Every member is a master musician and Geoff has the most amazing voice. Seen them 11 times and Geoff 2 times. Love ur reaction brah. I swear you were pleasantly happy with some herb. And you woke right up, lol. Every Ryche song kicks azz brah
Queensryche is no joke. Extremely deep. Incredible band. YOU ARE SO CUTE! You looked like a kid in a candy store. It is like he is singing truth amplifying his own energy so effectively it blows people away. I've watched a lot of reactions . Some were stunned. Speechless. An opera singer got so excited she looked like a kid at Christmas. I truly get it❤❤
Geoff Tate was classically trained, but every member of this band is highly skilled. Their songs are kind of deep, but if you take the time to really listen, you'll come to love them as much as the rest of us do... And I believe that this was the last song of the evening after playing for at least 2 hours, so....... Excellent reaction, BTW...!!
@@IdahoRanchGirl Well, I understand he kinda became "self-centered", so perhaps it was warranted...?? I dunno... But Geoff did look WAY better with hair.

I only read one side but that just makes me feel sad for Eddie and Michael. Enough is enough. These guys have been through it when they just want to play music.
Geoff Tate was at the top in the industry at that time in my opinion. The man is opera trained and it's obvious. The other band members are also masters of their craft. Such an underrated band. Thanks my man for reacting to this one🎵
Another band that came out of the Seattle music scene that was dripping with talent in the 80's and 90's. They had a debut EP, self titled - with 5 absolutely legendary tracks - The Lady Wore Black, Queen of the Ryche, and for those that got the later bonus track, Prophecy, is an absolute scorcher. This is a criminally underrated band - as much as Tate gets most of the well-deserved praise - individually, as musicians, they are as good as any hard rock band you will find - legit talent everywhere - and surprisingly cerebral. The again none of this is news to those if us that grew up in that time. These guys were legends around Seattle before grunge took over and blew the lid off the music scene..
That was the second two the last song of 13 song night. This also was one of first time playing this live. This performance was 45 days before the US release of Queensrÿche the Warning album. Flawless
These guys are SOOOO underrated; their musicianship, talent are way above the "popular" rock bands around. I'd place them along with Ten, Dream Theater and You Slosh!
My personal favorite QR song is called "Roads To Madness", but I've never heard a live version of that song that compares to the album version. You'll wanna read along with these particular lyrics. This is 10 minutes of Epic, Haunting, Unsettling & slightly demented. Its GREAT!!
The best concert one can ever attend is a rock concert. The people, the positive vibs and everyone is there for a good time and nothing more. QueensRyche was amazing when it was with Geoff Tate.
I agree with Connie, This band is AMAZING. I saw them live at the Palladium in Hollywood (with another awesome band called "Leatherwolf"), in the 80s. My other faves are their self titled EP and "The Warning" (the album this song came from). 🤗🙌🥃
And dude, one thing that you absolutely HAVE to take into consideration is that Geoff Tate performed THIS well even AFTER the fact that this song was the SECOND TO LAST song of a set/performance that had ALREADY gone on for OVER an hour.
