The oxygen meter on galaxy watch 4 is a huge disappointment. Every time 2%-4% deviation from the oxymeter. Do something to fix it. One the major features of this watch and it doesn't work at all
You are supposed to have your arm against your chest and our elbow laying on a solid surface in order for it to be accurate. It's on the instructions...
In the middle of the night when you're sleeping, you're not "getting up" and putting your elbow on a hard surface and your arm against your chest. So I feel those instructions do not matter lol
SpO2 will not be accurate on any of these devices for 1 reason. The sensor light has to go "through" a vein and come out the other side to get an accurate reading. On a "finger oximeter" there is a light on one end, and the light goes through to the other end. On your wrist the light cannot go through, so it can't read accurately. That is why when you check your Sp02 with a finger pulse oximeter they tell you not to be wearing nail polish or anything blocking the sensor from being able to let the light "pass through" your finger.
I'm pretty sure the way these devices measure SpO2 is different. The way smartwatches and fit bands measure SpO2 is like ultrasound where they emit and receive data on only one side. It may not be as accurate, but good enough.
How about th Sp02 reading between oximeter & galaxy watch active 2? Pretty accurate? I'm planning to own a watch active since it meet my budget rather than galaxy watch 4.
My active 2 alot of times its screen doesn't turn on when i raise my hand to see the hour and i had to raise my hand several time until it turns on .... is galaxy watch 4 has the same lag ?
For the 4 hours I had my Watch4, it reacted pretty well to wrist turning. However, with the whopping 4 hour battery on them, you'll be recharging 6x per day.
@Hamdy Elabbasy - That's all adjustable in settings, Hamdy. You can go into watch settings and tell your watch, what movements you choose from will wake the watch up. You can wake the watch screen by either lifting your wrist, touching the screen, flicking or shaking your wrist, or only when you touch the home screen button. And Craig - the battery actually lasts for 30 hours, not 4 - I don't know how many apps you used to overload your Watch with Craig, but if you overload it with apps as if it is a phone, of course the battery will drain fast. The battery will drain very quickly if you put too many apps on, particularly if they're apps that prevent the watch from sleeping when you don't need it. My watch monitors my heart rate continuously 24/7 and displays notifications, alerts, calendar appointments and my reminders and that's all I need from it. I just removed the other apps.
You can change the watch faces - with my watch, I have it displaying nice classical watch face, and have the Watch 4 set to monitor my HR constantly and this continuous monitoring is displayed on my watch face of choice. There are literally thousands of watch faces to choose from, so you can choose to display a watch face that does. Fitbits are also a great watch, no doubt, but there's nothing wrong with the Samsung Watch 4 either. It's personal choice. My family all wear different watches, mines obviously Samsung, though I was very tempted to buy the FitBit Versa or the later model for a time before deciding to return to the Samsung Watches, my Mum is happy with the original FitBit she bought and still wears, it is literally the OG model, lol and my Brother likes the Apple Watch. Each to our own :) Have a great day Craig! PS: As a side note, my Cardiologist also likes my Watch 4 and it's very high accuracy compared alongside the medical grade pulse oximeters - especially when that's combined with my 24/7 HR monitoring. That I can also export my HR data to send to him if I have any concerns with my cardiac disorder, it really helps him out.

That's only said for the blood oxygen. Not for the heath rate 🤷♂️

Samsung could give us hybrid watches, I would be interested in that.
I currently have covid and I'm using it to monitor my blood oxygen at night.
Please tell that galaxy active 2 is a good buy for those who have heart problem .?
I mean that will it give a accurate readings ?

I think SW4 is affordable price. For size 40mm only RM899 and for 44mm RM999 only.
@@khairulramzan6361 yeah I just noticed it, I think it more reasonable to invest on galaxy watch 4 as it is predecessor to galaxy watch active 2

Hello, is it possible to pair an external heart rate monitor with the Galaxy Watch 4 via Bluetooth or ANT+ while doing sports activities? Any idea?
plot twist...the meter on his finger is not accurate either
why? Do you think that the watch on his hand can measure better than a pulseoximeter? Sry for bad English.
@@BoshiNagare No, but we just assume the pulse ox meter is accurate. If it's not, then that will throw your results entirely off.
Is galaxy watch active 2 and galaxy watch 4 40mm has the same charger size?
yes
Are fitness trackers accurate?
How to get bp without calibration is there other apps for watch 4
thanks needed that for covid
galaxy watch active 2 really have sp02?

Hi, according to GW 4 oxygen level I am already dead.. 🤣
Mine is all over the place between 94% and 100%. 1 test 94%, next test 30 sec later 100%, next test 30 secs later 97% etc.
