- After installing new software the heart rate monitor failed. Got a cheap one from eBay and tried to fir it. the replacement did not work at all, but removing and replacing to ribbon cable repaired to original sensor and all is good now. Maybe the sensors just need a mechanical reset?
ALSO CHECK THE REAR GLASS COVER ON THE HR SENSOR AND MAKE SURE IT IS LINED UP 100% CORRECT

Thank you for this. After previously replacing my glass, due to a crack, my watch was working fine, until I went swimming one day, and then my HR sensor stopped working. So I assume the sensor may have gotten damaged either from the impact or from the water, but with your video, I’ll be replacing it this week.
Did the same to mine today and seems to be working fine again so far. Very odd but great
Thank you. I tried everything from restarts to resets and nothing helped . I decided to try what you did and just disconnect to ribbon cable and reconnect it. well to my surprise it worked,. Thank you its a bit of an effort to get the watch open, but a cheap fix. Samsung wanted to charge a fortune just to look at it

Hey there, is this a permanent fix? Or did the problem come back after a while after reconnecting the ribbon cable? Mine is starting to be funky, works fine for weeks then suddenly it keeps loosing track of pulse and then after a while stops trying, and only works after cycling power saver mode or restart.

Have you change it? Where's it? On back cover? My drained battery fastly and not charger good.
The green light isn't even lighting up on mine any help. I reseted it and ot worked but then it stopped working about an hour after
