    When I was little and would watch Bob Ross take a beautiful painting and start adding random brush strokes, I would shout "stop! you're ruining it" But then he would have a beautiful field of happy little trees. Watching Mike work and you would think he is ruining a beautiful counter top by adding more color but then it turns out beautiful. Mike, you sir are the Bob Ross of Epoxy.

    Dear Stone Coat Countertops Recently, I was walking by the graveyard and saw with great sadness that some people do not have a headstone.
    In my opinion everyone is special and deserve their fame.
    This gave me an idea to make epoxy Stone Coat tombstones and engrave the name with a CNC and refill it with gold epoxy.
    To be able to donate a memorial to their deceased loved one at a cheap price.
    Can you research the possibilities of whether the epoxy is able to withstand elements of nature?

    • @mitchquist
      @mitchquist 3 роки тому +1

      Great idea! I noticed the same thing the other day, my kids wanted to go through an old historic graveyard here in Southern Oregon. The problem you'd run into covering wood with epoxy then putting it outside would be the expansion and contraction of the wood with the elements.

    • @20kilovolt

      @@travisdopheide6735 Thank you Travis, In the country where I live (Netherlands) you often have a rental grave for no more than 12 years.
      In my opinion a tombstone of natural stone is unnecessary and expensive, this may be a reason that the grave remains nameless.
      It would be nice if there would be a product for this purpose and otherwise for 5 years and if necessary we will make a new one for the remaining 5 years.

    Do you have to use the stonecoat undercoat paint. Or will any latex or enamel paint work.

    I really need you guys to collect the dripped off stuff into a mold/form and give to your local woodturner, or turn it yourself. These bowls etc are amazing. I made myself a "mold" out of 2 cheap metallic bowls (from a set of different sizes). Love your videos, gonna try the same with some leftover e45 the next days. Might order from you depending on shipping costs to germany next time.

    I love this video. All the techniques are beautiful. Makes we want to try an exotic pour. I’d really be interested in trying to make the backsplash tiles. I’m sure I could do something similar for a kitchen. Do you have the link to make the molds. I didn’t see it in the Description box.

    Did my first pour of clear on a 2X4 laundry counter and it turned out great. A little soft after about 3 days but I know it will harden. I will definitely order the UTC soon for when I do my kitchen counters. Watching the amazing exotic pours inspires me to give it a try, although I'm going for marble for my kitchen. I might try an exotic for the bath vanity which now has a cheap, 1/2 inch fake stone, plastic top. It's an under-mount sink and I'm afraid it will still look cheap being so thin so maybe I rebuild it with MDF?! Oh yeah, the vanities you guys just did, I loved the blue veins as well as the fire orange colors...just awesome!

    I would highly recommend you use pinstripers tape from an auto supply store. It will make it so much easier than just masking tape. You will get much better results when you do your silicone. You guys are great though and I am amazed at what you do.

About to remodel our main bathroom and the Mrs. wants stone wrapped around the bathroom, at $10 a Sqft. is crazy! What is the polymer ratio with the concrete mix? Already epoxy our kitchen counter, so she is on-board!!
