I love this Car. You can see it everywhere in Vietnam.
It has completely fixed the minor errors that users reported in the software update version. This is a car that is not perfect or luxurious, but it is safe and reliable, everything is balanced. In my opinion, the weakness is that the brand is new and the selling price has not received incentives from the US government. Thank you for reviewing it honestly as a general user

I am a VF8 owner since 3/18/2023. I am sharing user experience on my channel if anyone needs more info.
Your review of the car is fair. please don't pay attention to the stupid comments and do your job well. They haven't even touched the Vf8 car and are always criticizing the car based on personal feelings and hatred.
They’re doing a LOT right, especially with the heads up display, infotainment, and UI. I’m waiting for them to find their own brand identity & style. Perhaps an adapted name for the US market & logo to something more exciting. The pricing is the biggest hurdle with current interest rates though. The buyers for a new car brand are suffering in this economy.
I see a ton of the 8's here in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The three-row VF9 though is really going to sell like gang busters. The KIA EV9 is probably also going to explode on the scene. The fact that the companies trying to break into the market can seemingly make adjustments on the fly is incredible.

@@Lee-vb4vh '' With VF8eco 2022, I used that mode for about 12 hours with 15% battery. I think that mode can last about 3-4 days with 100% battery.

I rode in the first version at the 2022 NYC auto show. Interior was nice but they were promising more range. I won’t seriously look at an EV until the range is over 360mi and the price is under $50k plus we need more fast charging stations…
Range for 2023 264 miles (VF8 beated EPA range on the top list of 25 cars tested by motor trend. Even better than Mes, BMW, Lexus, Huyndai). They offer only 29,000$ for 2023 version. I think it is a real bargain. 2024 version still around 46k to 56k
I understand their range is good compared to existing cars as well as the price. However if a manufacturer wants me to give up the convenience of filling up with gas and being able to drive 200 miles somewhere in the woods to hike a trail and get home without refilling (or recharging) I want more range. Additionally EV’s lose range every year do to their batteries getting older. My 10 year old Honda still has the same range as when I bought it. My point being if I’m going to lose range, 250 miles at purchase won’t cut it for me because I’m looking at a max of 100 miles from home before I have to figure in a charging station.
@@Tjdryed it's all about technology. U should wait for 20 years from now and hope the battery could take a range 360 miles per charge.

The car looks better than it did last year, but Vinfast still seems to think paying UA-camrs to promote the vehicles will work this time. It didn't work last year and it won't work this year either.
Ultimately, they need to build out their dealer network and offer long, in-depth and pressure-free test drives to convince people. And the car actually needs to be good.

I'm sorry, but if I had that much money. I'd make cars that the new low income (below 100k) can afford. That's very nice cars for $20k max. Considering he's in southeast Asia, labor is cheap. Don't even know why everyone's trying to go electric. You need to go CHEAP in price and be reliable. Or you just make a nice look car, 35mph, and list it under $20k. Make it a luxury car. You'll win the market. You'll be easily at half the cost of luxury cars and sell VOLUME. Then you get into electric if you wish because now you have positive cash flow.
They have the brand new VF3. Price range in vietnam is ~ $10k - 15k

okay. most of its vinfast ev components made by chinese made and south korean auto parts. it is just assembled into vinfast with outsourcing european body design. vinfast itself cant even build its own tires without outside experts. vinfast is simply a DIY toy.

This is a Chinese car, assembled in Vietnam to avoid high tariff to the US. People have died from driving VF8, a car with bad built quality.

I'd challenge you to try it. It's not. Find out for yourself. It's right in the middle. The 2023 model had tons of issues. This 2024 one doesn't. If you got to my conclusion I was very fair and balanced.

The new VinFast VF8, already on sale in France, is currently in turmoil. The electric SUV is the target of an investigation in the United States following a serious accident that claimed the lives of a family of four. The cause: faulty driving aids.
But in addition to this dramatic accident, more than 11 complaints have already been lodged against the company due to similar concerns, where the car abruptly changed trajectory. That's not all, as other owners have also reported anti-collision system failures, while some have indicated problems with semi-autonomous driving.
