Also sorry that the thumbnail is lightblade but the GM is fallen saber :p my thumbnail guy is out for the day and this is all I had!
Still awesome. You rock ❤
What if I don't have onmi
I really appreciate that you kept the failed runs in, and then went on to explain what happened for them to fail. You really gave us an insight into your trial and error, and that made this video 10x better than other GM videos!
@@LtSmash-bp2gj completely agree. Makes me sad that Mac isn't growing faster than he is. I don't want him to have to give up this adventure because it's unsustainable. I can't really think of another person who goes into detail and is as personable as Mac
Overload void grenades (artifact mod) from Season of The Seraph were a godsend in hard content. Chuck a vortex grenade to instantly stun an overload champion and take loads of health, then its an easy kill. Hope that mod comes back soon.
I never see people do this but in the small ass hallway with those arc beams you can actually slide to go faster and you'll be faster than the arc beams
Upvoted for visibility or however that works because I was gonna say that too
Can we get more videos like this about mechanics, tips/tricks, and gameplay footage please? I think a lot of us actually enjoy watching you play and would like stream highlight/gameplay videos
I'll say it again. The shadow dive can be used to help high health enemies walk of ledges into their doom. Truly awesome for wyverns that like to dive bomb you into an abyss
Blueberry from LFG: “Go do your favorite emote, take a quick bathroom break, or grab a snack. I got this.”
Me: *comes back* “Last Guardian Standing”
About getting ur dodge back by throwing your nade in the beginning. You are using vortex which is the longest cooldown, so using for example Scatter nade could make the rotation a bit easier. I just checked ingame at T9 discipline like you said you had. Vortex has a cooldown of 1.27 and Scatter is at 1.00, so quite a lot faster.
@@RequiemL34scatter is the highest damage per hit. Hence we saw veritys brow and scatter nades for old solo atheon. That is it's only real use though
@@RequiemL34 geminers malding
@@RequiemL34 thats not how the mod works. it gives you 20% class ability energy and then goes on a 7 second cooldown. and im pretty sure vortex doesnt last long enough to proc it twice unless ur on a warlock with the chaos accelerant aspect.
i do agree that that vortex is overall a better nade tho, but i dont think scatter is bad. so if survivability is very important, like in a solo gm, i dont think its a bad option.
@@thereallaser5334 even on warlock it maxes out at 6.2s
@@Jc-go3mz oh right you are correct. i think i mixed it up with Contraverse Hold. that buff is on a similiar shorter cooldown.
A better weapon loadout is anti-barrier autorifle and Le monarq. Work's a LOT better against overloads as it's an instant stun.
excellent update ty! been going back to your older vids for gameplay loop reference, (medic, wraith, etc.) but seeing it in practice like this longer form is just the update we needed ❤
Thanks, Mactics. A constant stream of fantastic tips.
26:34 Actually unreal levels of patience. I don't even want to think about my reaction.
Double jumping and dodging both lure melee based enemies to your location, invis and rotate without lumping.
kinetic tremors on a scout, fucks overload champions up, i used that perk in a legend lost sector a couple weeks ago and it put in work
Hey Mactics I’ve been using focusing strike on my arms to get dodge back instead of bolstering. Instead of trappers ambush dive I just smoke myself next to an enemy so I get a big chunk of my dodge back from damaging them w my melee. It’s more consistent because you have infinite melees compared to the grenade, it also doesn’t leave you open for that second after tossing that grenade. I spec into resilience and mobility, and the hardest part is not diving to invis and making sure to run next to enemies before smoking. W high mobility and utility kickstart you can achieve 100% invis times.
Refreshing to see a UA-camr who keeps his failed runs in, firstly, it makes me feel better about myself :) but on a more serious note it helps teach us mere mortals about what mistakes to avoid.
Overload trace this season on anything solo is really tough and I have always gone with Le Monarque or scout as a back up option when I need a different exotic.
This is like the “coaching” thingy you offered. Such helpful tips.
Hi Mactics. But how do you create these crazy builds? More or less how long does it take you? P.S. Thanks for the builds, I destroy everything.
Great walk through, thank you. Love the Platinum Starling ship at the end. I never take mine off.
price "CHECK THOSE CORNERS!" :D
what a marvelous explanation, mastered arch assasin so now i want 100% invis, Mactics, you are our D2 guru :D
I'll have to try out omni. I normally run graviton, so I'll be interested to see how different the playstyle is.
I think graviton is objectively better for solo play personally
@@Megatheriumhaving tried this build out now, I totally agree with you. I don’t really see a use case for Omni at all tbh
@@danf4321 even 6th coyote has more invisibility uptime than Omni for solo play. I think Omni is good for certain trio GMs, and otherwise has niche use for solo play. Specifically, if you can get one shot when you are invisible by a lucent hive super, then the Omni damage resistance can be worth it.
I think that’s another thing people forget about graviton though is that you get a bump to recovery when your invis I don’t have the numbers but I would assume it’s a pretty big bump so with the right stat splits it’s almost like have ten ten ten stats in on the first 3 also I think they have a lot of people running gamblers dodge on graviton
It gives +100 recov so you can have it as low as possible
@@n.oddynuff thanks I knew it was a big boost and only when your invis but let’s be honest that’s the only when you need the recovery but yea on hunter I shoot for a ten ten and ten discipline build and whatever the recovery lands at is what it is but good info thanks
@@n.oddynuff it doesnt, it sets your recovery stat somewhere between 90 and 100, but its neither 90 nor 100 recov, which also means that you shouldnt run 100 recov with graviton
@@Neuloo im looking at DIM and it says +100 recov

The issue is how to get the armor so that you can follow this video... that typed, I enjoy your videos. The best part is that you present yourself as a normal human (who invests way too much time in video games) who makes mistakes... and you seem to be considerate of other players.
Aside and mini-rant: Over the past month or so, I've been playing with other players more than I ever have (which is still not a lot). It seems that a) the game is absolutely scaled for playing with others (which makes it seem, comparatively, like easy mode) (when those you're playing with are decent) and b) turning into Warframe. What I mean by the Warframe reference is that it lately it seems like when a mission begins, everyone thinks it's a sprint, often ruining the outcome of the mission in the process and the experience for other players. If you're going to play like this, play solo. There are ways to do this.
Coda: Bungie is a baffling company. They make such bad business decisions - Ones that are unethical, others that aren't good for the game or players and more that just make no business sense. I don't get it.
Why don't you strafe those overload shredder rounds more often? They tend to breeze right by when you wiggle and you have them stunned before bolt splash nearly kills you
Thanks for the content Mactics, it definitely made me feel better about my failed solos when we see you also didn’t breeze through on the first pass!
FYI There is a cheese spot on the right wall behind the cover that pops up. It looks like they can just shoot through but for some reason they can’t. You can just sit there and primary focus on the boss and clear the shanks that pop up on the left periodically and ignore the tracer shanks. The cover drops when the big shields at the back pop up so you have to rotate around, but you have all your rockets to unload and full ability and super 😀
I’ve always like omni for team play glad your teaching people how to use it .
seriously died at 26:31 😂 cant tell you how many times thats happened to me.
I’ve been running 10 mobility and 10 discipline and 7 resilience for the longest time. I don’t feel high resilience is quite as necessary.
This video alone boosted my confidence with Omni by 3x
This video really settles it for me that void hunter is the best build for gms. Sure you could have done it faster if you went something like arc due to the high damage + overload grenade but the safety you get with void is unmatched.
Subbed for the fact you were humble enough to show the failed runs. GGs
Hey Mactics, I was just grinding for the Ruinous effigy catalyst whilst wearing Gyrfalcons Hauberk and had some really interesting volatile round interactions when using the void orb! I would really recommend testing some of this out and maybe even making a build around these interesting interactions! It’s not very strong for end game content but it is obliterating lower tier content with a lot of satisfying gun-ability interactions!
Most times i run omni if im below tier 10 mobility i use a lightweight weapon where possible and switch to it when i'm waiting on my dodge cooldown as lightweight weapons give 20 mobility
Does anyone actually have tier 10 mobility and resilience with echo of persistence? I feel like you have to just get an extremely spikey (lucky) Omni roll for that to work
I usually run echo of dilation as well to make up for the 10 mobility lost. Spiky armor rolls definitely help tho
@@danf4321 I'm almost ready to say it's not possible outside of some crazy roll with Omni where you get spikes in mobility or resilience. Trust me I have farmed artifice armor for days.
@@danf4321 Which fragment did you switch out for echo of dilation?
@@itsbutters69 that's the thing, you cant really switch out fragments without making this build sub optimal
You handle that shit pretty good, if that was me dying right at the end like that, my controller would be in pieces.
hi, im farely new to d2. still trying to figure out a lot but i was wondering if this build is gonna be usable in future seasons when the artifacts change?
It is, barely anything is going to change
Definitely. I been using Omnioculus for a year or 2 now, it's awesome
It was great in season 20 but in season 21 gryfalcons is king because of volatile rounds it’s a deal breaker in my eyes do you wanna play with a boring negative play style or do you wanna be the bad ass damage/survival player ?
GMs I'll use Omni, anything else Gryfalcons.
I used to share the same sentiment for GMs until I played the game more. Over time I started appreciating on demand invisibility (versus needing to get a kill for it) and being able to equip things like voltshot and incandescent on a void hunter.
I’m using 100 Res, 100 dis and 90 str.
9:58 - Imagine having Wish Ender and not peeking with wall hacks instead of face checking. >D
You can finish exploding enemies.
it just pushes them back before they explode
I've been waiting for this video, lol
This would work fantastic in The shattered Throne also! I mean this build works for everything cmon now hahaha
Don't compromise, this season it's super easy to get triple 100 stats
See I prefer the gyrfalcons. Especially on nightfalls with overload champs because of the Monarque bow. It is easy to stay constantly invisible by waiting for your invis cool down to pass pop a red bar with the bow and you're immediately back to invisible. Worst case scenario if I miss or don't get the kill I can dodge to go invis again. I've tried omnioculous a number of times and it just isn't as potent.
I just dont like the playstyle of omni at all. Gyrfalcons just feels way better to me
I was looking forward to making this build but I need 100 mobility and 100 res while having decent decipline according to matics but i just can't get 100 mob and res in my builds i can get mob and dec to 100 but not res, can anyone please suggeste what stat to give up on
I would lower resistance. You’re going to be invis a lot of the time, so enemies won’t really shoot you. I’d still run at least T7 resilience tho.
@@danf4321 okay, thanks
So… I am trying to think of a solar hunter build that is built around support. If you ever think of something then please let us know!
You make this look like a legend lost sector lol. Wtf
If you have tier 8 mobility and are carrying a lightweight frame weapon it will boost you up to tier 10
But then no wish ender :(
@@yourfathersfather8751lightweights aren't only in kinetic alot, there's also some in the energy slot
Showing the mistakes was great
Is this chest piece still obtainable?
Yea from legend lost sectors tho
Also vex incursionsn
4:19 Didn't you already make an entire video about this point? I'm surprised you forgot(?) about that thought process from before
Mactics does it again...#synergy
What are the weapons your using in this ?
Man i wish somebody would show some love to Raiden flux!!
Raiden flux and star eater is insane for boss damage.
@lowliethatori4475 no...there are plenty of assassins cowl builds...which is why I specifically am asking for love for Raiden flux...and you can't switch armor in a GM
@@MrTHUD03He means just use the same aspects and fragments as an Assassins Cowl build and replace it with Raiden flux.
@brandoncreek5709 aaaaaah okay makes sense..nevermind then...lol
Which scout rifle is that???
is there a high DPS hunter build? i’m getting to the higher levels and am struggling with damaging those tanks…
How was the solo when you had another guardian with you the entire time? 🎉
I don't get it. The exotic only gives damage reduction when you're invisible, and it's removed the moment you appear. Seems useless to me. You won't get attacked while in stealth. Unless I'm missing something, it's confusing.
The way invisibility works in this game is that enemies will still shoot at your last position so you can still get caught in the crossfire even though they can’t see you. Area of effect damage and grenades can still damage you while invis. Even with that the main benefit I find of running this build is the two smoke bombs. Once you understand the gameplay loop you are invisible all the time, but its not really needed for easier content. For example I would use this build for a Master dungeon or GM. But for something like deep dive I use Orphia’s Rig. I hope that clears things up for you that’s just my opinion
one day i'll get the exotic to enhance this build
please how do i get that finisher? i am new to the game
I loved that trace until i realized it’s impossible to keep up with the ammo it uses
Using arbi trace lmg is better solo
Just woke up👍
Duality solo flawless guide
No offense, great build but looks incredibly boring and overly complicated to do. I run a gyrfalcons / collective obligation build and everything dies while I get constantly healed, invis and an overshield and not to mention how fun it is to run
Love your builds but the gambler dodge is a deal breaker to me 😭 heavy rely on mele
Never shows the build
What milking looks like!
Why do you have 2 smoke bombs? I can only have 1
The 🐐
I only clicked because ur baiting everyone. Literally not the best hunter build. Especially void hunter
It's the best build for true end game content. Gyrfalcon suffers with higher tier enemies.
@@Burritobandito79 lol unbelievable
First, nice
